Pre-Made Panel for Tiled Walls

Abstract

A Pre-Made Panel of Tiles making tile wall installations fast and easy. The Pre-Made Panel of Tiles can be installed by installers without tile expertise. The pre-designed tile panels make for easier selections for the consumers in that they can see them already set and the combinations of tiles and accents put together to create a pre-designed layout. The Pre-Made Panels of Tiles get installed in large panels that can be joined to each other to expand the area of coverage. The Pre-Made Panel of Tiles are perfect for kitchen backsplash areas and shower or wainscot walls. The Pre-Made Panel of Tiles can be installed directly to studs or over existing wall materials and attached with adhesives and/or screws. The Panels can be connected to each other to cover additional surface areas and then grouted or caulked at the seams.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to tiled walls pre-installed on lightweight rigid backer material and more specifically it relates to a pre-made panel of tiled walls used for kitchen backsplash and showers, making it an easier installation of tile and related products and accents, thus saving time and money while providing better quality. It also allows persons without tile experience to install this tile system.

2. Description of the Related Art

It can be appreciated that wall tiles, accents and backers have been in use for years. Typically, wall tiles, accents and backers are comprised of ceramic, porcelain and stone tiles, accents, liners, glass, metal accents, cement board, thinset mortar, and grout.

The main problem with conventional wall tiles, accents and backers are the time, expertise and skill level required to install custom work on every jobsite which can include huge amounts of time, human effort, expertise and numerous saw cuts, plus time waiting for each step to cure completely before advancing to the next stage of the work.

Another problem with conventional wall tiles, accents and backers are Drive Time associated with doing each phase of the work required. Another problem with conventional wall tiles, accents and backers are time delays in schedules of other trades if work takes longer than expected or a workman fails to perform the work on time or fails to show up for work at any stage of the work.

While these devices may be suitable for the particular purpose to which they address, they are not suitable for easier installation of tile and related products and accents, thus saving time and money while providing better quality. In these respects, the pre-made panel for tiled walls according to present invention substantially departs from the conventional concepts and designs of the prior art and in doing so provides an apparatus primarily developed for the purpose of easier installation of tile and related products and accents, thus saving time and money while providing better quality.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of wall tiles, accents and backers now present in the prior art, the present invention provides a new pre-made panel for tiled walls construction wherein the same can be utilized for easier installation of tile and related products, accents and backers, thus saving time and money while providing a better quality.

The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in detail, is to provide a new pre-made panel for tiled walls that has many of the wall tiles, accents and backers mentioned heretofore and many novel features that result in a new pre-made panel for tiled walls which is not anticipated, rendered obvious, suggested, or even implied by any of the prior art wall tiles, accents and backers either alone or in any combination thereof.

To attain this, the present invention generally comprises tile products, accents and liners, glass and metals, adhesives and mortars, backer board, fasteners and sealers.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the invention in order that the detailed description thereof may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the invention that will be described hereinafter.

In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of the description and should not be regarded as limiting.

A primary object of the present invention is to provide a pre-made panel of tiled walls that will overcome the shortcomings of the prior art devices. Basically tile and accents are pre-installed with adhesives on a backer board, grouted and ready to install as a large sheet directly to a wall or straight to studs.

An object of the present invention is to provide a pre-made panel for tiled walls for easier installation of tile and related products and accents, thus saving time and money while providing better quality.

Another object is to provide a pre-made panel of tiled walls that is easy to install and can be performed by someone with less experience in the tile trade.

Another object is to provide pre-made panel for tiled walls that will install and be completed in less time, regardless of the intricacies of the design.

Another object is to provide a pre-made panel of tiled walls that can be installed by countertop installers, which may be unskilled and untrained in tile work and the work can be done immediately after setting the countertops, eliminating the time of scheduling a second tradesman and the coordination thereof.

Another object is to provide a pre-made panel of tiled walls that can be installed in less than one day allowing other trades to do their work on top of it or to be used immediately after installing without waiting for days or weeks like the traditional install method.

Another object is to provide a pre-made panel for tiled walls that customers can see and choose their tile design prior to being installed in their home.

Another object is to provide a pre-made panel for tiled walls that makes sales easier by having a uniquely differentiated product offering of pre-finished and pre-designed tile walls.

Another object is to provide a pre-made panel for tiled walls that save time, effort and money by eliminating drive time and many returns to jobsites by creating these items pre-finished in assembly line fashion in a factory instead of custom done on a jobsite

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become obvious to the reader and it is intended that these objects and advantages are within the scope of the present invention.

To the accomplishment of the above and related objects, this invention may be embodied in the form illustrated in the accompanying drawings, attention being called to the fact, however that the drawings are illustrative only, and that changes may be made in the specific construction illustrated.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Overview

Turning now descriptively to the drawings, in which similar reference characters denote similar elements throughout the several views,

FIG. 1 illustrates a Pre-Made Panel of Tiles, 4 that can be placed together to cover more surface area, 5 and installed with an tube type of adhesive to the stud walls or any existing wall materials, for a fast and easy tiled wall. 3 The tiles will be pre-installed to a lightweight backer suitable for tile with an adhesive suitable for tile.

Assembly

FIG. 2 Shows the 8 backer, the 7 mortar or glue, 6 tiles and the 5 grout embodiments comprised in this invention and how they come together to create a Pre-Made Panel of Tiles which is ready to be placed on a wall.

FIG. 3 illustrates an exploded side view of the 9 backer, 10 mortar or glue, 11 tile, 12 grout.

Installation

FIG. 5 illustrates the 16 Pre-Made Panels of Tile being installed with 14 adhesive to 15 stud walls. Wall sub-materials can be either direct to the studs or to any existing wall materials like drywall, or tile.

FIG. 4 illustrates how the 13 Pre-Made Panels of Tiles can be put together to cover larger surface areas.

The present invention should not be limited to the installations as shown in the drawings.

As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and installation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed to be within the expertise of those skilled in the art, and all equivalent structural variations and relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

1. A pre-made panel of tiled walls for installation in buildings comprising:

A ridged backer material suitable for tile;

An adhesive suitable for attaching the tile to the backer board

Tile attached to the backer board with the adhesive

The pre-made panel of tiled walls with Grout in the joints of the tiles

The pre-made panel of tiled walls with Grout in the joints of the tiles that can be flexible

A pre-made panel of tiled walls where An adhesive attaching the tile to the backer board that could be flexible

A pre-made panel of tiled walls where A ridged backer material suitable for tile that could be light weight

A pre-made panel of tiled walls with Tile of various materials

A pre-made panel of tiled walls with Tile of various shapes

A pre-made panel of tiled walls with Tile of various designs
