Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

a) Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a reusable baby food pouch.

b) Description of the Prior Art

Traditional baby food containers are jars with threaded lids. These containers come in a variety of sizes. They are made to dispense the contents of the jar into another container, such as a bowl, before consumption by the baby.

These jars are heavy. They are not easily portable because they are very difficult to use in a vehicle, or while in stroller, or while walking. They require at least a spoon but usually a spoon and bowl for consumption.

The baby food pouch described below solves these problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The baby food pouch has a hard nozzle with a cap that creates a liquid and airtight seal of the pouch. The nozzle is sized to fit within a baby's mouth. Because the pouch is flexible, the baby can suck or squeeze the food out of the pouch without need for any other utensils.

Feeding from the pouch also allows for great mobility. A baby can feed cleanly from the pouch while in a vehicle, in a stroller, walking, or any other of a variety of activities. The reusable baby food pouch allows for a great deal of flexibility and mobility.

The nozzle also allows for replacement of a cap to seal the contents of the pouch in a liquid airtight manner.

A zipper on at least one of the top, bottom, and/or at least one side allows a large access to the inside of the pouch for adding food or cleaning the inside of the pouch. This allows for greater freedom to add any desired food to the pouch to ensure parents have complete control of the health of their baby's diets. The zipper also allows for access to clean the inside of the pouch. This makes the pouch a clean and healthy reusable option. This zipper minimizes waste, ensures sterilization, and allows for the application of homemade baby food.

The zipper seals the pouch in a liquid airtight manner. To ensure fresh, storable food, and stops leakage while feeding from the pouch.

FIG. 1 illustrates the Reusable Baby Food Pouch with a zipper extending the length of at least one vertical side of the pouch. Here, the Reusable Baby Food Pouch 100 is made from a food grade:

natural material, BpA free plastic, or other non-toxic material that can hold liquids without leakage or seepage through the material. The pouch 100 is made of a flexible material to limit the amount of air in the pouch. Before and anytime desired during use the caregiver is able to squeeze out extra air before baby sucks food from the pouch 100. Removing extra air before use will reduce the amount of air ingested by the child thus making the pouch 100 an ideal feeding device for caregivers of all young children, even those caring for young children prone to indigestion or other feeding related issues. After use, if there is still food left in the pouch 100, the caregiver can squeeze the extra air from the pouch 100 thus preserving the food for a longer period of time. The pouch 100 includes a zipper 101 that creates an airtight seal with the use of threaded teeth, interlocking channels, or some other sealing mechanism or device. The zipper 101 extends the length of at least one vertical side of the pouch and opens to allow the care provider to fill the pouch with homemade or purchased baby food. The zipper 101 may include a locking mechanism to keep it in the sealed position. The zipper 101 is also used to open the pouch, discard unused food and clean and sanitize the inside of the pouch. The Reusable Baby Food Pouch 100 includes a threaded hard nozzle 102 made from a food grade: natural material, BpA free plastic, or other rigid non-toxic material. The inside of the threaded hard nozzle 102 is accessed via the zipper 101 for cleaning and sanitizing. The Reusable Baby Food Pouch 100 includes a threaded screw on cap 103 wherein the threads of the cap feed onto the threads of the threaded hard nozzle 102. When threaded together the threaded hard nozzle 102 and the threaded screw on cap 103 made of a food grade: natural material, BpA free plastic, or some other rigid non-toxic material create an airtight seal. The Reusable Baby Food Pouch 100 is also depicted with a ridged hard nozzle 104 made from a food grade: natural material, BpA free plastic, or some other rigid non-toxic material. The Reusable Baby Food pouch with ridged hard nozzle 104 includes a ridged cap 105 made of a food grade: natural material, BpA free plastic, or other rigid non-toxic material that snaps onto ridged hard nozzle 104 creating an airtight seal.

FIG. 2 illustrates the Reusable Baby Food Pouch with a zipper extending the length of at least one side and top with either a screw on or snap on cap. The pouch 100 100 includes a zipper 201 that creates an airtight seal with the use of threaded teeth, interlocking channels, or some other sealing mechanism or device. The zipper 201 extends the length of at least one side and top of the pouch and opens to allow the care provider to fill the pouch with homemade or purchased baby food. The zipper 201 may include a locking mechanism to keep it in the sealed position. The zipper 201 is also used to open the pouch, discard unused food and clean and sanitize the inside of the pouch. 105 The Reusable Baby Food Pouch 100 includes a threaded hard nozzle 102 made from a food grade:

natural material, BpA free plastic, or other rigid non-toxic material. The inside of the threaded hard nozzle 102 is accessed via the zipper 201 for cleaning and sanitizing. The Reusable Baby Food Pouch 100 includes a threaded screw on cap 103 wherein the threads of the cap feed onto the threads of the threaded hard nozzle 102. When threaded together the threaded hard nozzle 102 and the threaded 110 screw on cap 103 made of a food grade: natural material, BpA free plastic, or other rigid non-toxic material create an airtight seal.
