BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a cosmetic dispenser that extrudes eyeliner onto a curved applicator.

2. Description of Related Art

A common daily routine for many women, and some men, is to apply makeup before leaving for work, running errands or are being seen by others. The makeup application varies from user to user depending on their experience, desire for coverage and overall desired look. For example, a stay-at-home mom may apply minimal makeup before beginning their day with kids, while a stage performer may spend a great deal of time perfecting their look before they step into the spotlight. Either way, each user desires to look neat, clean and precise before they present their faces to the world.

One of the most difficult cosmetics to apply is eyeliner. Many people enjoy the bold look and definition that eyeliner creates, but find the process of applying the makeup tedious and frustrating. The easiest eyeliner to use is a pencil or stick, which writes onto the skin like a common pencil. The line coverage is decent and the pencil allows for repeated strokes and easy corrections. Liquid eyeliner is often considered the most difficult to apply, because it is typically applied with a handheld brush or tipped sponge. Once the makeup is applied the user must wait for it to dry before applying any other makeup or for fixing mistakes. Also, the precision of the line depends on the steadiness of the user's hand, therefore making it an intimidating makeup for everyday use.

It would be desirable in the art to provide a makeup applicator that enables a user to easily apply liquid eyeliner. It would also be beneficial in the art to provide an applicator tip that is shaped for no fuss application of liquid eyeliner on the lashes.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a cosmetic dispenser that extrudes eyeliner onto a curved applicator. The present invention specifically relates to a dispensable eyeliner to facilitate applying eye makeup. The dispensable eyeliner includes a twistable base to dispense the eyeliner onto a curve tipped applicator. The curved tip applicator is shaped to be pressed against a user's lash line to apply an even line above the lashes. The curved tip applicator may create a thin or thick line depending on which side of the applicator used.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The advantages and features of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following detailed description and claims taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawing and in which:

FIG. 1 depicts a perspective view of a dispensable eyeliner applicator in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention; and

FIG. 2 depicts multiple views of a range of eyeliner thicknesses when using a disposable eyeliner applicator in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The present invention relates to a cosmetic dispenser that extrudes eyeliner onto a curved applicator. The present invention provides a dispensable eyeliner to facilitate applying eye makeup. The dispensable eyeliner includes a twistable base to dispense the eyeliner onto a curve tipped applicator. The curved tip applicator is shaped to be pressed against a user's lash line to apply an even line above the lashes. Depending on the preferences of the user, the line may be created to be thin or thick depending on which side of the applicator they use, and by rolling the applicator tip a little against the lashes.

Turning now descriptively to the drawing, referring to FIG. 1, a perspective view of a dispensable eyeliner applicator 100 in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The dispensable eyeliner applicator 100 includes a tubular body 102 extending between a base 104 and a cap 106. The tubular body 102 houses an eyeliner cosmetic material for application on a user's lash line. The base 104 twists to control an actuator 108 positioned within the tubular body 102. As the base 104 twists in a first direction the actuator 108 moves up, and when the base 104 turns in a second opposite direction the actuator 108 moves down.

At the top of the tubular body 102, opposite to the base 102, is a curved tip applicator 110. The curved tip applicator 110 attaches to the tubular body 102 at a neck 112. The curved tip applicator 110 includes a curved body 114 that extends to a pointed tip 116. The curved body 114 is shaped like the curve of an eyelid to allow precise application of the eyeliner cosmetic material along the lash line. The curved tip applicator 110 may a hollow member to allow the eyeliner cosmetic material to dispense through the curved body 114 to the tip 116. The curved tip applicator 110 may be made from silicone to provide a sturdy yet soft applicator for comfortable use on the user's eye. One side of the curved tip applicator 110 may create a thin line, while the opposite side of the curved tip applicator creates a wide line. Alternatively, the curved tip applicator 110 may be a brush with shaped bristles or hairs to softly and evenly apply the eyeliner cosmetic material.

During use, the user twists the base 104 to raise the actuator 108, which then dispenses the eyeliner cosmetic material through the neck 112 and into the curved tip applicator 110. The dispensable eyeliner applicator 100 allows the user to quickly and easily apply eyeliner without having to freehand draw the line onto the lash line. A cap 106 may cover the curved tip applicator 110 to prevent the eyeliner cosmetic material from drying during use. The eyeliner cosmetic material may be a waterproof formula, and may be available is a variety of colors.

Referring now to FIG. 2, a range of eyeliner thicknesses are shown to illustrate the varying looks possible when using the dispensable eyeliner applicator 100. FIG. 2A illustrates use of the thin side of the curved tip applicator, where the eye 150 displays a thin eyeliner line 140. FIG. 2B illustrates the eye 150 with a medium eyeliner line 142. Finally, FIG. 2C illustrates the eye 150 with a thick eyeliner line 144 created with the wide line side of the curved tip applicator.

The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variation are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiment was chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.
