Novelty pillow

A novelty pillow, or a set of novelty pillows depict an idiom, and take the form of the idiom being expressed. Preferably, the idiom expressed in the pillow or set of pillows, is a noun or nouns, which can be described as “stuffed”. Examples of idioms contemplated include, but are not limited to, a “stuffed nose”, a “stuffed shirt”, and a “stuffed pizza”. Accordingly, the pillow or set of pillows for a “stuffed nose” would be a pillow or set of pillows, in the shape of a human nose, the exterior casings of the pillow would have a graphic that takes the form of a human nose, to aid in the depiction of said “stuffed nose”. Each pillow or set of pillows would follow this form, in order to depict the idiom contemplated.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates generally to novelty items, and in particular to a set of novelty pillows. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find unique decorative items for the home or personal space. A series of throw pillows that depict idioms, and that take the form of the idiom being expressed, would provide a new and different way to decorate personal spaces, while allowing the user to express his or her personal sense of humor.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the invention is directed to a novelty pillow, or a set of novelty pillows, which depict an idiom, and take the form of the idiom being expressed. Preferably, the idiom expressed in the pillow or set of pillows, is a noun or nouns, which can be described as “stuffed”. Examples of idioms contemplated include, but are not limited to, a “stuffed nose”, a “stuffed shirt”, and a “stuffed pizza”. Accordingly, the pillow or set of pillows for a “stuffed nose” would be a pillow or set of pillows, in the shape of a human nose. The exterior casings of the pillow would have a graphic that takes the form of a human nose, to aid in the depiction of said “stuffed nose”. Each pillow or set of pillows would follow this form, in order to depict the idiom contemplated

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 shows a front view of the first exemplary embodiment, displaying a pillow created in the shape of a slice of stuffed pizza 10.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring now to the invention in more detail, the invention is directed to a novelty pillow, or a set of novelty pillows, which depict an idiom, and take the form of the idiom being expressed. Preferably, the idiom expressed in the pillow or set of pillows, is a noun or nouns, which can be described as “stuffed”. Examples of idioms contemplated include, but are not limited to, a “stuffed nose”12, a “stuffed shirt”11, and a “stuffed pizza”10.

In the first exemplary embodiment, a “stuffed pizza” 10 is depicted and a pillow or set of pillows, created in the shape of a slice of a stuffed pizza 10. The pillow or set of pillows will have an interior that is comprised of pillow stuffing or a shaped pillow form that is filled with pillow stuffing, and an exterior that is comprised of durable fabric with a graphic that takes the form of a slice of a stuffed pizza, to aid in the depiction of said “stuffed pizza” 10.

In the second exemplary embodiment, a “stuffed shirt” 11 is depicted and a pillow or set of pillows, created in the shape of a slice of a stuffed shirt 11. The pillow or set of pillows will have an interior that is comprised of pillow stuffing or a shaped pillow form that is filled with pillow stuffing, and an exterior that is comprised of durable fabric with a graphic that takes the form of a shirt, to aid in the depiction of said “stuffed shirt” 11.

In the third exemplary embodiment, a “stuffed nose” 12 is depicted and a pillow or set of pillows, created in the shape of a human nose 12. The pillow or set of pillows will have an interior that is comprised of pillow stuffing or a shaped pillow form that is filled with pillow stuffing, and an exterior that is comprised of durable fabric with a graphic that takes the form of a human nose, to aid in the depiction of said “stuffed nose” 12.

The exterior of the pillow or set of pillows is preferably manufactured from a flexible, durable fabric that is easily cleaned, such as wool, cotton, cotton-rayon blend, or cotton-polyester blend. The graphic illustrations are preferably manufactured from similar materials and, are preferably affixed to the front of the exterior pillow casing or fabric with stitching or adhesive. The interior of the pillow or set of pillows is preferably manufactured from goose down, polyester fiber fill, or other down alternatives. The interior of the pillow may either be permanently affixed to the exterior casing or fabric, or it may be a self-contained pillow form that is inserted into a casing or fabric that is not permanently affixed to the interior stuffing. The pillow form will preferably be filled with goose down, polyester fiberfill, or other down alternatives, and would be covered with wool, cotton, cotton-rayon blend, cotton-polyester blend or other durable fabric. The pillow form would then be inserted into the exterior casing, to create a completed pillow.

Components, component sizes, and materials listed above are preferable, but artisans will recognize that alternate components and materials could be selected without altering the scope of the invention.

While the foregoing written description of the invention enables one of ordinary skill to make and use what is presently considered to be the best mode thereof, those of ordinary skill in the art will understand and appreciate the existence of variations, combinations, and equivalents of the specific embodiment, method, and examples herein. The invention should, therefore, not be limited by the above described embodiment, method, and examples, but by all embodiments and methods within the scope and spirit of the invention.

Claims

1. A plurality of pillows wherein each of said plurality of pillows is shaped to exemplify an idiom.

2. The plurality of pillows of claim 1 wherein said idiom comprises describing a noun as stuffed, and wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble said noun.

3. The plurality of pillows of claim 1 wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a slice of stuffed pizza.

4. The plurality of pillows of claim 2 wherein said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a slice of stuffed pizza.

5. The plurality of pillows of claim 1 wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt.

6. The plurality of pillows of claim 2 wherein said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt.

7. The plurality of pillows of claim 1 wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed nose.

8. The plurality of pillows of claim 2 wherein said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed nose.

9. The plurality of pillows of claim 1 wherein said plurality of pillows is at least two in number; wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a slice of stuffed pizza; and wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt.

10. The plurality of pillows of claim 2 wherein said plurality of pillows is at least two in number; wherein one of said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a slice of stuffed pizza; and wherein another of said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt.

11. The plurality of pillows of claim 1 wherein said plurality of pillows is at least two in number; wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a slice of stuffed pizza; and wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed nose.

12. The plurality of pillows of claim 2 wherein said plurality of pillows is at least two in number; wherein one of said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a slice of stuffed pizza; and wherein another of said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed nose.

13. The plurality of pillows of claim 1 wherein said plurality of pillows is at least two in number; wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed nose; and wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt.

14. The plurality of pillows of claim 2 wherein said plurality of pillows is at least two in number; wherein one of said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed nose; and wherein another of said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt.

15. The plurality of pillows of claim 1 wherein said plurality of pillows is at least three in number; wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a slice of stuffed pizza; wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt; and wherein at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed nose.

16. The plurality of pillows of claim 2 wherein said plurality of pillows is at least three in number; wherein one of said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a slice of stuffed pizza; wherein another of said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt; and wherein another of said at least one of said plurality of pillows is shaped to resemble a stuffed nose.

17. The plurality of pillows of claim 5 wherein those of said plurality of pillows that are shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt resemble substantially exclusively a stuffed shirt.

18. The plurality of pillows of claim 6 wherein those of said plurality of pillows that are shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt resemble substantially exclusively a stuffed shirt.

19. The plurality of pillows of claim 9 wherein those of said plurality of pillows that are shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt resemble substantially exclusively a stuffed shirt.

20. The plurality of pillows of claim 16 wherein those of said plurality of pillows that are shaped and decorated to resemble a stuffed shirt resemble substantially exclusively a stuffed shirt.
