Collectable Coffee Bags and the Method of Making the Same
A collectable coffee bag comprising a front panel, a back panel, a first side panel arranged between said front panel and said back panel. The collectable bag also comprising a second side panel arranged between the front panel and the back panel. The collectable bag having an image of a predetermined person arranged on the front panel and a predetermined identifying feature associated with the predetermined person arranged on the back panel. The collectable coffee bag also having a limited edition area arranged on a first side panel of the collectable coffee bag and a signature area arranged on the second side panel of the collectable coffee bag. The collectable coffee bag having a predetermined coffee blend, or roast arranged therein wherein the blended roast is associated with a predetermined person depicted on the collectable coffee bag.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION1. Field of the Invention
The present invention generally relates to food bags and a method of making the same and more particularly relates to a collectable coffee bag and a method for making the same.
2. Description of Related Art
Coffee bags and coffee having exclusive roast, blends and flavors have been well known in the art. Coffee bags come in a variety of shapes and sizes, such as pouch type bags, gusset type bags or any other known bag capable of holding and storing coffee beans and/or ground coffee for freshness prior to use in a coffee maker or the like. It has also been known in the art to store coffee in cans to ensure freshness of the coffee for a predetermined storage time. Coffee drinkers have very sophisticated and varied taste as to what type of coffee they choose to drink. Some like light roasted coffees while others like dark roasted coffees, others like blends of different coffee beans put into their coffee, while even others like certain additive flavors, such as chocolate, vanilla, etc., added to their coffee to enhance the taste to a predetermined liking for the individual coffee drinker.
There are many coffee distributors known in the art and each of them have a unique bag in which they either sell their coffee beans or ground coffee. These coffee bags generally identify the company selling the coffee, the blend and type of coffee being stored therein. Therefore, there is a need in the art for an improved coffee bag that is capable of being used as a collectable coffee bag or as an advertising/messaging product or bag. There also is as need in the art for an improved coffee bag that has areas for signatures, limited edition prints, each having a specific color associated with an athlete or the like. There also is a need in the art for an exclusive coffee and collectable coffee bag that includes an exclusive roast, blend, and/or flavored coffee associated with a famous person depicted thereon.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONOne object of the present invention may be to provide a novel and unique collectable coffee bag and associated coffee.
Another object of the present invention may be to provide a collectable coffee bag that includes an exclusive roast, blend, and/or flavor associated with a famous person, such as an athlete.
Still another object of the present invention may be to provide a collectable coffee bag that has an athlete's image on a front panel thereof
Yet another object of the present invention may be to provide a collectable coffee bag that has the athlete's signature on the bag.
Still another object of the present invention may be to provide a collectable coffee bag that has a limited edition area on a predetermined portion of the bag.
Still another object of the present invention may be to provide a collectable coffee bag that has a predetermined color associated with the athlete arranged thereon.
Still another object of the present invention may be to provide a collectable coffee bag that has an identifying logo arranged on the coffee bag, wherein the logo is associated with the athlete pictured thereon.
Still another object of the present invention may be to provide a collectable coffee bag that has an image of the athlete on a back panel of the coffee bag.
Yet another object of the present invention may be to provide a bag that can be associated with an athlete, sporting event and/or important historical event or occurrence.
Still another object of the present invention may be to provide a collectable coffee bag that has a predetermined color associated with the athlete in combination with a particular associated event or sporting event, both professional or amateur, arranged thereon.
Still another object of the present invention may be to provide a collectable coffee bag that has an identifying logo arranged on the coffee bag, wherein the logo is associated with the athlete pictured in combination with a particular event or sporting event arranged thereon.
According to the present invention, the foregoing and other objects and advantages are obtained by a novel design for a collectable coffee bag and associated coffee. The coffee bag may be associated with a famous person, such as an athlete. The athlete's picture may appear on the front panel of the coffee bag. The back panel of the coffee bag may feature another picture of the athlete and an associated identifying feature, such as as number, equipment or other identifying features associated with that athlete. The bag may also include on the back panel thereof a signature of the athlete along with a logo identifying the athlete to the sport. The collectable coffee bag may also include a limited edition area arranged on a side panel of the coffee bag. The coffee bag may also include the identification of the roast, blend, and/or flavor of the coffee arranged within the collectable coffee bag. The collectable coffee bag may also include a signature area arranged on a side panel of the collectable coffee bag. This may allow for the athlete or famous person an area to provide a signature in a personalized manner. The collectable coffee bag may also be made of a predetermined color and/or colors associated with that athlete and their sport. The coffee bag may also include on any of the panels an identifying logo associated with that athlete and/or their sport. All of the above features are incorporated into a single bag to create a collectable coffee bag and associated coffee for coffee drinkers.
One advantage of the present invention may be that it provides a novel and unique collectable coffee bag and associated coffee.
Another advantage of the present invention may be that it provides for a collectable coffee bag that is associated with a famous person, such as an athlete.
Another advantage of the present invention may be that it provides for a front image of the athlete on the collectable coffee bag and an identifying feature, such as a number, logo or the same arranged on the collectable coffee bag.
Still another advantage of the present invention may be that it provides a collectable coffee bag that has a signature area arranged on a panel of the coffee bag.
Still another advantage of the present invention may be that it provides for the actual signature of the athlete arranged on a panel of the coffee bag.
Still another advantage of the present invention may be that it provides for a limited edition area arranged on a panel of the coffee bag.
Still another advantage of the present invention may be that it provides for a collectable coffee bag that lists the type of exclusive roast, blend and/or flavor of the coffee identified on a panel thereof. The exclusive roast, blend or flavor will become associated with the famous person or athlete depicted thereon.
Still another advantage of the present invention may be that it provides for a collectable coffee bag having a predetermined color, which is associated with the famous person, such as an athlete arranged on.
Still another advantage of the present invention may that it provides for a collectable coffee bag that may have an identifying logo associated with the sport of the athlete arranged thereon.
Still another advantage of the present invention may be that it provides for an image of the athlete on the pack panel of the collectable coffee bag.
Other objects, features and advantages of the present invention may become apparent from the subsequent description and the appended claims, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
Referring to the drawings, a collectable coffee bag 10 and the method of making the same is shown according to the present invention. The collectable coffee bag 10 of the present invention may be used as a food bag and is not just limited to the use of coffee being arranged within the collectable food bag 10. The food bag 10 may hold or store any known food, such as coffee beans, ground coffee beans, roasted coffee beans, teas, jelly beans or any other known food or edible article may be arranged within the collectable bag 10 of the present invention. In one contemplated embodiment shown, the bag 10 may be used for a collectable coffee bag 10 with a predetermined coffee roast, blend, and/or flavor arranged within the bag for storage and used by a coffee drinker. It should be noted that the collectable coffee bag 10 may include coffee beans or ground coffee beans, which may depend on the buyer and the coffee drinker purchasing such collectable coffee bags 10. Each of the collectable coffee bags 10 may be associated with a predetermined famous person, individual or team. This famous individual may be real or imaginary and alive or deceased. In one contemplated embodiment, the famous individual may be an athlete who is associated with a predetermined sport. However, it should be noted that the famous person, individual or team may be, but is not limited to, an animated figure, superheros, historical figures, military figures, presidential figures, movie and television stars or personalities, etc. Therefore, any famous person or entity, real or imaginary, alive or dead may be used to create a collectable coffee and associated collectable coffee bags 10. It should be noted that the collectable coffee bag 10 may be used for advertising, marketing, fund raising, etc. and all other purposes for any business, association, individual, group, league, etc. Generally, the coffee which may be sold within the collectable coffee bag 10 may be individualized to the famous person being depicted on the outer surface of the collectable coffee bag 10. Hence, the famous individual or person may or may not choose the type of coffee that is arranged within the bag 10. In one contemplated embodiment the individual or other person may choose the coffee bean origin, the coffee bean roast and the coffee bean flavor. They may also choose any added flavors to the coffee, such as chocolate, vanilla, mint, etc. Hence, the coffee bean or ground coffee beans arranged within the collectable coffee bag 10 may have a predetermined taste to the liking of the individual depicted on the collectable coffee bag 10 or may be chosen for the individual by a third party. It should be noted that it is also contemplated to use other flavored drinks or any other known food within the in collectable food bags 10, such as but not limited to teas, energy drinks, jelly beans, etc. Hence, any known coffee bean and/or ground coffee bean mixture may be sold and stored within the collectable coffee bag 10 of the present invention.
Generally, the collectable coffee bag 10 of the present invention may be any known type of coffee bag made of any known material. In one contemplated embodiment, a gusset type coffee bag 10 is used for the collectable coffee bag 10 of the present invention. It should also be noted that any known pouch, box, cylinder container, can, K-cup or other single cup brewing system container and/or box holding a plurality of K-cups, or the like may be used for the collectable coffee bag 10 and associated coffee of the present invention. In one contemplated embodiment, a multi-layered construction coffee bag may be used. In this multi-layered construction, the coffee bag 10 may include a heat seal layer arranged adjacent to an aluminum foil, which is arranged adjacent to a low density polyethelene. Adjacent to the low density polyethylene may be a polyester and then a print layer is finally sealed with an over laminate to keep the coffee beans and/or ground coffee fresh within the bag 10 for a predetermined amount of time. The coffee bag 10 may be made of any known metal, plastic, paper, composite, natural material or any other known material. The thickness of the coffee bean bag 10 may be of any known thickness, but in one contemplated embodiment approximately 4.5 mills may create the total thickness of the structured coffee bag 10. It should be noted that the bags are all capable of being heat sealable and also may use any other type of connecting mechanism to seal the bags 10 at the top opening 12 into which the coffee is arranged. Therefore, the coffee may be stored and used by the coffee drinker or kept completely sealed and fresh as long as the coffee drinker wishes to hold onto the collectable coffee bag 10.
The collectable coffee bag 10 generally has a front panel 14, a back pan& 16 and two side panels 18, 20 along with a bottom panel and a top panel. These panels generally are formed as one continuous sheet and then folded into the respective bag shape 10 as described above. It should be noted that any other type of bag 10, such as a pouch, box, cylinder container or can, etc. any of which may have any number of panels or even no panels, may also he used for the collectable container for use with coffee or the like. Generally, arranged on the front panel 14 of the collectable coffee bag 10 may be an image of the famous person or in this case an athlete as shown in the figures. The image may be prominently displayed on the collectable coffee bag 10. The athlete may be in any known pose, an action shot or any other known picture of the athlete. The front panel 14 may also include a logo that is associated with the athlete depicted on the front panel of the collectable coffee bag 10. The logo may be of the individual team the athlete played for, the association or the league in which the athlete played or any other special insignia, such as a pro football hall of fame insignia if the athlete has been elected to the pro football hall of fame or any other of the hall of fames. These identifying logos may he arranged anywhere on the front panel 14 of the collectable coffee bag 10. Other information relating to the athlete, such as the athlete's name and other information regarding the athlete's career, may also be arranged or printed and prominently displayed on the front panel 14 along with the name associated with the coffee, roast or blend stored in the bag, such as all pro roast, or hall of fame legends roast, etc.
The back panel 16 of the collectable coffee bag 10 may include another image of the athlete or famous person along with an identifying feature 28, such as a number worn by that person or equipment, such as a golf club, racquet, race car number, race car, jersey, or any other known identifying feature associated with that person or athlete depicted on the collectable coffee bag 10. The back panel 16 may also include a signature 26 printed onto the bag panel, thus creating another way of identifying the collectable coffee to the individual associated with the coffee blend inside and the collectable coffee bag 10. A logo identifying the league in which the athlete played may also be arranged on the back panel 16 of the bag located anywhere on the back panel 16 or somewhat near the signature and identifying feature associated with the athlete. The back panel 16 may also include a story or write up relating to the athlete or famous person including but not limited to stats, years played and any other interesting facts associated with the athlete or famous person.
On one of the side panels 18, 20 of the collectable coffee bag 10 may have arranged thereon the ingredients of the exclusive roast, blend and/or flavor of the coffee being sold with the collectable coffee bag 10. In one contemplated embodiment the bean origin, the bean roast, and the bean flavor may be listed on an area of the side panel 20 of the collectable coffee bag 10. It should further be noted that other flavors may also be listed here, such as the flavor of chocolate, nutmeg, vanilla, mint, peppermint, or any other known flavoring may also be added to the coffee beans or around coffee being sold in the collectable coffee bag 10. It should be noted that the bag 10 may have barcodes, QR codes, ingredients and other information arranged thereon. Also associated on at least one of the side panels 18, 20 of the collectable coffee bag 10 may be a limited edition area 22 for the collectable coffee bag 10. Generally, this limited edition area 22 on the coffee side panel 20 may be arranged on the same side panel as that of the exclusive ingredients of the coffee arranged in the bag 10. The limited edition area 22 may identify how many total bags 10 of this collectable coffee have been or may be made and which number of the limited edition the coffee bag being bought is, i.e., in the embodiment shown in the figures the 250th bag of 1000 total produced for the coffee blend is depicted. All of the coffees of the collectable coffee bags 10 may be limited edition coffees, thus increasing their value to the coffee drinker, buying public and the famous individual associated therewith. On another side panel of the collectable coffee bag 10 according to the present invention may be arranged an area, known as a signature area 24, which may allow for individualized signatures to take place directly on the outer surface of the collectable coffee bag 10. This signature area 24 may generally have a rectangular shape, however any other known shape, such as square, triangular, circular, or any other known shape may also be used on the side panel 18 of the collectable coffee bag 10. This signature area 24 generally may have a light color that may be receptive to any known color ink, pencil or other writing mechanism such that the individual associated and pictured on the collectable coffee bag 10 or any other person associated with that person is capable of signing an individualized/personalized autograph including space for a note of individual specificity from that person along with a signature or just the actual signature of the individual arranged on the collectable coffee bag 10. Other information may also be related to the buyer of the collectable coffee bag 10 on the side panel 18 including the signature area 24 arranged thereon. This other information may include more specific information regarding the individual or the league or team in which they played or where that coffee bean or blend was created and how it came into creation. It should be noted that the signature area 24 may be coated with a different material to ensure that a pen, pencil, marker, etc., may be capable of writing on the signature area 24.

Each of the collectable coffee bags 10 may use a predetermined color and/or colors for the bag. These predetermined colors may be colors associated with the teams the individual played on, or with an event the individual played in, such as Wimbledon White, the Masters Green or a hall of fame, such as yellow blazers given to the National Football League Hall of Famers, etc. These colors may be individualized to the famous person or athlete depicted on the collectable coffee bag 10 or with the associated coffee chosen by that individual arranged therein. Hence, any known color may be used but the color generally may be associated with the individual athlete or famous person arranged thereon in either an associated team, hall of fame or event to which that individual is well known. The colors may be multi colors, such as different colors of an individual team, and may be colors such as Honolulu blue where those colors may be depicted on the collectable coffee bag 10 and associated with the famous individual from the Detroit Lions or any other professional team, etc.
In operation, the collectable coffee bag 10 of the present invention may be created after first having an individual or other person, organization or entity chosen to be depicted on the collectable coffee bag 10. The individual may choose the specific coffee to be sold and associated with them or a third party may choose the coffee to he associated with the individual or entity depicted on the collectable coffee bag 10. After the individual is chosen, the collectable coffee bag 10 may have imprinted or printed on the outer surface of the panels as described above, all of the information regarding the individual, such as the pictures, the coffee blend chosen, the limited edition area, the logos associated with the team, the identifying feature, signature of the individual and a signature area, etc., all imposed and depicted on the outer surface of the panels of the coffee bag 10 as described above. After the coffee bag 10 is printed with the required indicia and features as described above, the coffee bag 10 may be formed into the appropriate shape and then filled with the selected coffee or beans and/or ground coffee, this coffee may be an exclusive or non-exclusive roast or blend and then sealed at a top surface thereof and sold to the buying public and specifically to fans of the individual or teams associated with the famous person arranged on the collectable coffee bag 10. It should be noted that the coffee bags 10 may be of any known shape and size and that any of the exclusive features arranged on the bag may be arranged in different areas than those described above and on different panels of the outer surface of the collectable coffee bag 10 than those described above. It should further be noted that not all of the features have to be included on each bag any combination of any of the features may be used. It should further be noted that other food items and/or drinks, spices or any other type of blends may also be packaged and associated with the famous person with the associated features described herein arranged on the outer surface of the panels of the bags, pouches, cans, etc.

Thus, the person skilled in the art may appreciate that modifications might be made to the present and disclosed embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention, which is defined in terms of the claims below. Other aspects, features and advantages may be apparent upon the examination of the attached drawing figures and appended claims.
Claims
1. A collectable coffee bag, said bag comprising:
- a front panel;
- a back panel;
- a first side panel arranged between said front panel and said back panel;
- a second side panel arranged between said front panel and said back panel;
- an image of a predetermined person arranged on one of said front panel, said back panel, said first side panel, or said second side panel;
- a predetermined identifying feature associated with said person arranged on one of said front panel, said back panel, said first side panel, or second side panel;
- a limited edition area arranged on one of said front panel, said back panel, said first side panel, or second side panel; and
- a signature area arranged on one of said front panel, said back panel, said first side panel, or said second side panel.
2. The coffee bag of claim 1 wherein said predetermined person is a real or imaginary famous person, team or athlete and said image is a picture or drawing,
3. The coffee bag of claim 1 further comprising a logo associated with said predetermined person arranged on said front panel.

6. The coffee bag of claim 1 further comprising a second image of said predetermined person arranged on said back panel.
7. The coffee bag of claim 1 further comprising a signature of said predetermined person printed on said back panel.
8. The coffee bag of claim 7 wherein said signature is arranged near said identifying feature.
9. The coffee bag of claim 1 further comprising a story or write up relating to said predetermined person or maker of the coffee bag.
10. The coffee bag of claim 1 wherein said limited edition area having an identification of how many total collectable coffee bags were made and a special number for the collectable coffee bag in said total.
11. The coffee bag of claim 1 further comprising a listing of exclusive ingredients of a coffee arranged in the collectable coffee bag.
12. The coffee bag of claim 1 wherein said signature area allows for an individualized signature or autograph to occur directly on the collectable coffee bag, said signature area is arranged on said first side panel or said second side panel.
13. The coffee bag of claim 12 wherein said signature area having a generally rectangular shape and a light color in order to be receptive to any color ink.
14. The coffee bag of claim 1 further comprising a predetermined color or colors associated with said predetermined person as an individual or a team said predetermined person is associated with,
15. A method of making a collectable coffee bag holding a specialized coffee therein, said method comprising the steps of:
- selecting a famous person or entity to be associated with the specialized coffee;
- choosing the specialized coffee;
- printing predetermined information relating to said famous person or entity on the outer surface of a front panel, a back panel, a first side panel, and a second side panel of the collectable coffee bag;
- forming the collectable coffee bag into a final shape; and
- filling the collectable coffee bag with the specialized coffee.
16. The method of claim 15 wherein said step of printing arranges an image of said famous person or entity on said front panel.
17. The method of claim 15 wherein said step of printing arranges an identifying feature associated with said famous person or entity on said back panel,
18. The method of claim 15 wherein said step of printing arranges a limited edition area on said first side panel.
19. The method of claim 15 wherein said step of printing arranges a signature area on said first side panel or said second side panel,
20. The method of claim 15 wherein said step of printing applies to said panels a predetermined color or colors associated with said famous person or entity.
