Phallic Themed Electronic Vaporizer

An electronic hookah is provided with a penis-shaped attachment which introduces a phallic nature desirable in environments such as bachelorette parties. The penis-shaped attachment is placed over a vaporizing body, the latter of which is used to produce smoke through use of a liquid reservoir and an atomizer. Power is supplied by a power source and vapors are expelled through a mouthpiece. The penis-shaped attachment has portions that resemble male genitalia, including a head with an aperture. The aperture allows vapors expelled through the mouthpiece to also pass through the penis-shaped attachment. The penis-shaped attachment is enhanced through the addition of a vein pattern on a shaft-shaped portion. Enhancements for the vaporizing body include a printed graphic and an illumination source. The combination of components allows for the use of an electronic hookah device with a phallic theme.

Description

The current application claims a priority to the U.S. Provisional Patent application Ser. No. 61/857,364 filed on Jul. 23, 2013.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to an electronic vaporizer with a penis-shaped attachment provided for vaporizing liquids. The electronic vaporizer is commonly referred to as an electronic hookah.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Smoking hookah is a common and social activity shared by many people, most commonly within a house, hookah lounge, or hookah club. While enjoyable, there are hazards associated with the smoking of hookah stemming from the use of open coals and flames. While the ability to smoke hookah without using coals has yet to be perfected, there are a number of electronic hookah devices on the market which simply vaporize a prepared liquid for inhalation by a user, emulating the experience of smoking coal-based hookah. It is an object of the present invention to improve upon said electronic hookah devices, primarily through the introduction of phallic qualities.

Through the addition of certain components, the present invention is made appealing for use at occasions such as bachelorette parties and bridal showers. The present invention acts as a risqué and entertaining device for use not only in the provided examples, but indeed in a number of gatherings. The present invention accomplishes this by providing a penis-shaped attachment which is placed over an electronic hookah device. Varying amounts of detail and supplemental fixtures are provided for the penis-shaped attachment to enhance the risqué nature of the present invention. It is an object of the present invention to use the aforementioned enhancements to provide an electronic hookah which is desirable for use at bachelorette parties, bridal showers, and similar social gatherings.

DETAIL DESCRIPTIONS OF THE INVENTION

All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

The present invention is an electronic hookah with improvements that make it more desirable for given occasions, such as bachelorette parties and bridal showers. The enhancements provided by the present invention increase enjoyment derived from its use in certain scenarios, including the aforementioned examples. More specifically, the present invention introduces a sexual theme to the common electronic hookah, creating allure with target demographics. To this end the present invention comprises a vaporizing body 1 and a penis-shaped attachment 2. The vaporizing body 1 allows for liquids to be vaporized and inhaled as smoke, while the penis-shaped attachment 2 provides a sexually themed element for the present invention. The combined vaporizing body 1 and penis-shaped attachment 2 are illustrated in FIG. 1.

The vaporizing body 1 comprises a liquid reservoir 11, an atomizer 13, a power source 14, and a mouthpiece 15. These components are common and critical to the function of an electronic hookah, as they store the liquid prior to vaporization (held in the liquid reservoir 11), vaporize the liquid to produce smoke (accomplished by the atomizer 13), allow the created vapors to be inhaled (through the mouthpiece 15), and provide the necessary operating power via the power source 14. These components can be integrated with each other in a unitary vaporizing body 1 or separately attached to each other to form the vaporizing body 1. The former implementation is used for what are commonly referred to as disposable electronic hookahs or disposable electronic cigarettes; such devices contain a certain amount of liquid and battery charge as sufficient for a predetermined amount of use. After depleting the liquid and battery charge the device is discarded as a user is unable to replace the liquid or recharge the battery. The latter implementation allows a user to replace or refill parts of the vaporizing body 1. This is normally accomplished by allowing the liquid reservoir 11 to be refilled or replaced. Often referred to as a cartridge in the industry, some constructions allow for the liquid reservoir 11 to be removed and replaced by a new one after depleting the stored liquid. This is in contrast to the disposable variants, in which the liquid reservoir 11 cannot be refilled or replaced after being depleted. The present invention allows for these and similar configurations, as they share a reliance upon the liquid reservoir 11, atomizer 13, power source 14, and mouthpiece 15 as comprised by the present invention.

The vaporizing body 1 relies upon certain basic component configuration to properly function. Many of these configurations specify subcomponents of the atomizer 13, which comprises a heating chamber 131 and a heating element 132. The heating chamber 131 houses the heating element 132, with the heating element 132 being electrically connected to the power source 14. The heating element 132 is used to vaporize the stored liquid, which is accessible as the liquid reservoir 11 is in fluid communication with the heating chamber 131; the liquid is the vaporized and expelled via fluid communication between the mouthpiece 15 and the heating chamber 131. The configuration as described up to this point explains basic operation of the vaporizing body 1, in which the power source 14 is used to supply electricity to a heating element 132, the vaporizing liquid is obtained from the liquid reservoir 11 and brought to the heating element 132, and the resulting vapors being expelled through the mouthpiece 15 and inhaled by a user. Preferably, a switch is provided as part of the electrical connection between the heating element 132 and the power source 14; a user can open or close this switch to complete or break the circuit, ultimately turning the heating element 132 on (e.g. when the user desires to inhale vapor) and off. In different embodiments of the present invention the switch may be automatic or manually activated. An automated switch comprises a sensor that detects airflow (resulting from a user inhaling from the device), at which point the switch activates the heating element 132 to produce the desired vapor. Alternatively, the switch may be a physical interface on the vaporizing body 1 that a user engages to complete the circuit and vaporize the contained liquid. The basic elements of the vaporizing body 1 are illustrated in FIG. 3, FIG. 4, FIG. 5, and FIG. 6.

The other primary component of the present invention is the penis-shaped attachment 2, which is attached over the mouthpiece 15 and provides an aesthetic enhancement that is desirable in certain environments. The penis-shaped attachment 2 comprises a shaft-shaped portion 22 and a head-shaped portion 23. In order to allow for passage of vapors from the vaporizing body 1 through the mouthpiece 15, the head-shaped portion 23 comprises an aperture 231. The head-shaped portion 23 is positioned adjacent to the shaft-shaped portion 22. Thus, the head-shaped portion 23 is positioned adjacent to the mouthpiece 15 and with its aperture 231 being aligned with said mouthpiece 15. As the penis-shaped attachment 2 is intended to provide an aesthetic enhancement, its shaft-shaped portion 22 encircles the vaporizing body 1. Resultantly, the shaft-shaped portion 22 and head shaped portion are external with respect to the vaporizing body 1. The penis-shaped attachment 2 thus alters the visual and tactile properties of the vaporizing body 1 as compared to regular unadorned electronic vaporizers.

Potentially, the penis-shaped attachment 2 can be integrated with the mouthpiece 15, especially in embodiments with disposable constructions. To appeal to the individual preferences of customers, the shape, size, and coloring of the penis-shaped attachment 2 may be varied to address market demands. Similarly, while the preferred embodiment uses a combination of hard and soft plastics which are chemical free and safe for oral use, other embodiments can use alternative materials as long as the alternative material meet the aforementioned criteria.

Another possibility regarding the penis-shaped attachment 2 is the addition of a testicle-shaped portion. This testicle-shaped portion could help to better define the penis-shaped attachment 2. The amount of detail provided for the penis-shaped portion can vary amongst different embodiments of the present invention. Though the combination of the head-shaped portion 23 and shaft-shaped portion 22 is usually sufficient for recognizing the phallic nature, a vein pattern 3 could be added to the shaft-shaped portion 22 to make it appear more realistic and thus recognizable.

Several components that interact with a user's senses are provided as potential additions to the present invention. In a preferred embodiment these potential additions include a vein pattern 3, a printed graphic 4, and an illumination source 5. Some of these enhance the oral or tactile aspects of the present invention (i.e. the vein pattern 3) while others are visual enhancements, specifically the printed graphic 4. Another potential enhancement is a ring of prongs, radially connected around the shaft and forming a circle with protrusions that are normal to the vaporizing body 1. If included these prongs are positioned adjacent to the head-shaped portion 23, allowing them to further stimulate a user's mouth during inhalation of vapors. The vein pattern 3 is positioned around the shaft-shaped portion 22, to which it is also externally mounted. By creating changing surface contours on the shaft-shaped portion 22 the vein pattern 3 makes the present invention easier to grasp in addition to more stimulating as compared to an embodiment with a smooth unadorned shaft-shaped portion 22. This is in addition to the aesthetic enhancements provided by the vein pattern 3. The printed graphic 4 is positioned on the vaporizing body 1, where it can serve as a number of purposes. In the preferred embodiment the printed graphic 4 is a phrase or exclamation that is humorous or witty in nature; double entendres such as “blow me” make for the best printed graphics 4. The illumination source 5 is adjacently connected to the vaporizing body 1, at an end opposite the penis-shaped attachment 2 and mouthpiece 15. The illumination source 5 is electrically connected to the power source 14 such that it lights up whenever the user activates the heating element 132 and inhales vapor. This emulates the glow of the coals from a traditional non-electronic hookah. The penis-shaped attachment 2, including aforementioned components, is illustrated in FIG. 1, FIG. 2, FIG. 3, and FIG. 4.

While the preferred embodiment comprises the vein pattern 3, the printed graphic 4, and the illumination source 5, other embodiments may choose to omit some of the components, replace others, add additional components which enhance the present invention through one or more of the five senses. For example, food grade flavored coating could be applied to the head-shaped portion 23 to enhance the taste of the present invention, though care must be taken to prevent the flavored coating from clashing with the scent of the produced smoke. This is just one example of a potential additional component and is not meant to limit the possible embodiments of the present invention.

The aforementioned components are not required by the present invention; indeed, they may be included or omitted in various combinations by alternative embodiments of the present invention. Alterations may also be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. A non-limiting example of such an alteration involves the illumination source 5; potentially the illumination source 5 can be electrically connected to the power source 14 through the switch, such that the illumination source 5 is only active when the switch is closed to complete the electrical circuit, i.e. when the user is activating the heating element 132 to produce vapor. When the heating element 132 is inactive and the switch is open, then the illumination source 5 receives no energy and remains unlit. This and other alterations are possible while still remaining within the scope of the present invention's combination of a vaporizing body 1 and penis-shaped attachment 2. An example circuit layout is provided in FIG. 7.

The fluid communication between the heating chamber 131 and the liquid reservoir 11 is carried out through capillary action. The atomizer 13 thus comprises a wick 133 which traverses into the liquid reservoir 11 from the heating chamber 131. This wick 133 transports fuel (i.e. the stored liquid) to a consumption site (e.g. the heating element 132) via the aforementioned capillary action. While other fluid transfer mechanisms are possible, including simply placing the fluids in direct contact with the heating element 132, the wick 133 is preferred for its simplicity, low cost, and effectiveness.

In addition to the vaporizing body 1 and penis-shaped attachment 2, the present invention requires a vaporizable liquid 12 which can be placed in the liquid reservoir 11 and vaporized by the heating element 132. Though there are a number of potential compositions for said vaporizable liquid 12, in the preferred embodiment it comprises a base, a diluting agent 122, and a plurality of flavoring agents. The base and diluting agent 122 provide the bulk of the volume of the vaporizable liquid 12 while the plurality of flavoring ingredients 123 are provided to control the taste of the created vapors, with various flavor combinations being possible and marketable. In the preferred embodiment the base is either propylene glycol 1211 or vegetable glycerin 1212 while the diluting agent 122 is water 1221. The present invention also allows for the addition of a nicotine agent 124 to the vaporizable liquid 12, if desired by a user. The ratios of these ingredients is highly variable, with different rations and combinations of ingredients being possible given appropriate consumer demand. The vaporizable liquid's 12 general composition is illustrated in FIG. 8.

Though the preferred embodiment has described a number of components and configurations, different embodiments may change the components and configurations while remaining within the scope of the present invention. For example, the penis-shaped attachment 2 could be permanently connected to the vaporizing body 1 (perhaps through an injection mold) for a disposable variant and made removable in variants in which the vaporizing body 1 is reusable. Likewise, while the penis-shaped attachment 2 has been described with preferred components and a vaporizable liquid 12 has been described with possible compositions, these may be varied in alternative embodiments of the present invention.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims

1. A phallic themed electronic vaporizer comprises:

a vaporizing body;
a penis-shaped attachment;
the vaporizing body comprises a liquid reservoir, an atomizer, a power source, and a mouthpiece;
the atomizer comprises a heating chamber and a heating element;
the heating element being electrically connected to the power source;
the liquid reservoir being in fluid communication with the heating chamber;
the mouthpiece being in fluid communication with the heating chamber; and
the penis-shaped attachment being attached over the mouthpiece.

2. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

the penis-shaped attachment comprises a shaft-shaped portion and a head-shaped portion;
the head-shaped portion comprises an aperture;
the head-shaped portion being positioned adjacent to the shaft-shaped portion;
the vaporizing body being encircled by the shaft-shaped portion; and
the aperture being in fluid communication with the heating chamber through the mouthpiece.

3. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 2 comprises:

a vein pattern;
the vein pattern being positioned around the shaft-shaped portion; and
the vein pattern being externally mounted to the shaft-shaped portion.

4. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

a printed graphic; and
the printed graphic being positioned on the vaporizing body.

5. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

an illumination source;
the illumination source being adjacently connected to the vaporizing body;
the illumination source being positioned opposite the penis-shaped attachment along the vaporizing body; and
the illumination source being electrically connected to the power source.

6. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

the atomizer further comprises a wick; and
the wick traversing into the liquid reservoir from the heating chamber.

7. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

a vaporizable liquid being housed in the liquid reservoir; and
the vaporizable liquid comprises a base, a diluting agent, and a plurality of flavoring ingredients.

8. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 7 comprises:

the base being selected from the group consisting of: propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin.

9. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 7 comprises:

the diluting agent being water.

10. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 7 comprises:

the vaporizable liquid further comprises a nicotine agent.

11. A phallic themed electronic vaporizer comprises:

a vaporizing body;
a penis-shaped attachment;
the vaporizing body comprises a liquid reservoir, an atomizer, a power source, and a mouthpiece;
the atomizer comprises a heating chamber, a heating element, and a wick;
the penis-shaped attachment comprises a shaft-shaped portion and a head-shaped portion;
the heating element being electrically connected to the power source;
the liquid reservoir being in fluid communication with the heating chamber;
the wick traversing into the liquid reservoir from the heating chamber;
the mouthpiece being in fluid communication with the heating chamber; and
the penis-shaped attachment being attached over the mouthpiece.

12. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 11 comprises:

the head-shaped portion comprises an aperture;
the head-shaped portion being positioned adjacent to the shaft-shaped portion;
the vaporizing body being encircled by the shaft-shaped portion; and
the aperture being in fluid communication with the heating chamber through the mouthpiece.

13. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 11 comprises:

a vein pattern;
the vein pattern being positioned around the shaft-shaped portion; and
the vein pattern being externally mounted to the shaft-shaped portion.

14. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 11 comprises:

a printed graphic; and
the printed graphic being positioned on the vaporizing body.

15. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 11 comprises:

an illumination source;
the illumination source being adjacently connected to the vaporizing body;
the illumination source being positioned opposite the penis-shaped attachment along the vaporizing body; and
the illumination source being electrically connected to the power source.

16. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 11 comprises:

a vaporizable liquid being housed in the liquid reservoir; and
the vaporizable liquid comprises a base, a diluting agent, and a plurality of flavoring ingredients.

17. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 16 comprises:

the base being selected from the group consisting of: propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin; and
the diluting agent being water.

18. The phallic themed electronic vaporizer as claimed in claim 16 comprises:

the vaporizable liquid further comprises a nicotine agent.
