GOLF BAG TO PREVENT GOLF CLUBS FROM BEING MISPLACED

Abstract

A golf bag for preventing golf clubs from being misplaced and/or the heads of the golf clubs from being damaged is provided. The golf bag includes a body which can store golf clubs inside and which has a number attachment and detachment areas so that one or more golf club number tags can be attached and detached, multiple golf club number tags that are marked with golf club numbers that can be attached to and detached from the number tag attachment and detachment area, multiple club head covers that cover golf club heads and multiple head cover connectors to connect the golf club number tags to the club head covers. By enabling number tags to be attached to and detached from the golf clubs stored in the golf bag and by connecting the golf club number tags and club head covers, the golf bag can prevent golf clubs from being misplaced as well as protects golf club heads

BACKGROUND

1. Field of the Invention

The present subject matter relates to a golf bag storing golf clubs. In particular, the present subject matter relates to a golf bag which has a device that can prevent or avoid golf clubs from being misplaced and the heads of golf clubs from being damaged.

2. Description of the Related Art

A golf club is composed of the head, shaft and grip, and it is classified as wood, iron, or putter depending on the range and usage. All of the numerous golf clubs are stored and moved around in a golf bag.

Various types of golf clubs are stored and moved around in a golf bag when a golfer plays a round of golf. While moving around, the heads of golf club are bumped with each other and become damaged. Often times, head covers are used to cover the golf clubs in order to prevent such damages. However, it is not that easy to keep the head covers in a separate place as uncovered during golf rounds, and the head covers can be easily misplaced.

In addition, golf clubs stored in a golf bag can be easily misplaced during golf rounds by mishandling of the bag or for any reason, and sometimes the player doesn't even find out in the field that he or she has misplaced any of the golf clubs.

Some patent applications relating to golf bags have been published, including Korean Patent Registration No. KR 10-463078, Korean Patent Publication No. 10-20030063804, Korean Utility Patent Publication No. 20-2012004737, and Korean Utility Patent Publication No. 20-19990038333.

SUMMARY

A golf bag is provided that can prevent golf clubs from being misplaced and protect the heads of golf clubs from being damaged.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present application provides a golf bag which is composed of: a body that stores golf clubs and has an area where number tags can be attached and detached so that one or more golf club number tag(s) can be attached and detached; multiple golf club number tags with the golf club number indicated on the surface which can be attached to and detached from said number tag attachment/detachment area; multiple club head covers to cover the golf club heads; and multiple head cover connectors that connect said golf club number tags and said club head covers.

The golf club number tag has a fixture (the first fixture) to fix one end of the head cover connector, the club head cover has a fixture (the second fixture) to fix another end of the head cover connector, and the head cover connector is connected to the first and the second fixtures.

With regard to the golf bag according to the present subject matter, the head cover connector is composed of a connector body with a certain length, a connector (the first connector or connecting part) installed on one end of the connector body, and the second connector configured to be able to be installed on and detached from the second fixture and installed on another end of the connector body so that the head cover connector can be attached to and detached from the golf club number tags and club head covers.

With regard to the golf bag according to the present subject matter, the head cover connecter has a certain length and is equipped with the connector body with one end fixed on the second fixture and the first connector installed on another end of the connector body to be able to be attached to and detached from the first fixture, so that the head cover connector can be attached to and detached from the golf club number tags.

With regard to the golf bag according to the present subject matter, the connector has a certain length and is composed of the connector body with one end fixed to the first fixture and the second connector that is configured to be able to be attached to and detached from the second fixture to be attached to another end of the connector body, so that the head cover connector can be attached to and detached from the club head cover.

With regard to the golf bag according to the present subject matter, it is possible to fix or connect club head covers and to selectively attach golf club number tags to and detach golf club number tags from the golf bag, thereby making it possible to immediately check the golf clubs stored in the golf bag and thus preventing golf clubs from being misplaced. Especially, in the golf bag according to the present subject matter the golf club number tags are selectively attached with the golf club identification numbers on the location connected to the club head cover, thereby making it easy to check the state of the stored golf clubs. Therefore, misplacing of golf clubs can be prevented.

Also, With regard to the golf bag according to the present subject matter, it is possible to easily attach and detach club head covers so that not only using club head covers is easy but also damages to golf club heads resulting from collisions can be prevented.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Hereafter, the structure of the golf bag according to an embodiment of the present subject matter will be described in detail by referring to the attached figures.

Example 1

FIG. 1 is a perspective view that illustrates the golf bag according to an embodiment of the present subject matter. Referring to FIG. 1, as an example, the golf bag (10) according to the present subject matter is composed of the body (100) with an opening (‘a’) for storing or withdrawing golf clubs, multiple club head covers (110), and multiple head cover connectors (120) that connect the body with the club head covers.

The body (100) is to store golf clubs and is equipped with an opening (‘a’) for golf clubs. On the exterior near the body's opening and/or on the inner surface of the body, multiple fixtures (the first fixtures) (102) are installed. The above-mentioned fixtures are to fix one end of the head cover connector (120), and can be modified in diverse ways according to the configuration of the head cover connector. Detailed descriptions of the first fixture will be provided later.

On the exterior near the opening of the above-mentioned body or on the inner surface of the opening of the body, identification numbers to identify golf clubs could be marked. Also, the identification numbers could be marked to correspond to the positions on which the multiple first fixtures are installed.

The above-mentioned club head cover (110) surrounds the golf club's head, and it may be preferable to mark the golf club's identification number on the exterior surface. It may be preferable for the club head to correspond to the head shape of each club. It may be preferable for the identification number marked on a club head cover to be set in the same method as the identification number marked on the head cover connector.

The identification number to identify a golf club may be a combination of a symbol to indicate the golf club type and a number to indicate the golf club's number. Also, only a number to indicate the golf club number may be used. “W” may be used to indicate a wood club, “I” may be used to indicate an iron club, “PW,” “AW,” “SW,” or “LW,” may be used to indicate a wedge, and “P” may be used to indicate a putter. Also, other Latin letters or symbols may be used in various ways. In FIG. 1, “11” is used as an example, but various identification numbers could be used to identify golf clubs.

The club head cover (110) is equipped with the second fixture (112) on the surface. The second fixture (112) is to fixe one end of the head cover connector (120), and can be modified in various ways according to the head cover connector's configuration. Specific descriptions of the second fixture will be provided later.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view which illustrates an embodiment of the head cover connector of the golf bag according to an embodiment of the present subject matter. Referring to FIG. 2, the head cover connectors (120a, 120b, and 120c) are examples to connect the first connector (102) of the body to the second fixture (112) of the club head cover, and they are equipped with the connector body (122a, 122b, and 122c), the first connectors that are formed on one end of the connector and that are connected to the fixture (102), and the second connectors (126a, 126b, and 126c) which are formed on the other end of the connector body and which are connected to the second connector (112) of the club head cover.

The connector body can be composed of a band with a certain length or an elastic band, as illustrated in FIG. 2(a) and (c), or can be composed of a chain or elastic spring, as illustrated in FIG. 2(b). The shape can be modified in various ways. It may be preferable that the length of the connector body be longer than the distance between the first fixture of the body and the second fixture of the club head cover.

As illustrated in FIG. 2(b), the first fixture (102) and the first connectors (124a, 124b, and 124c) and the second fixture (112) and the second connectors (126a, 126b, and 126c) may be composed of connecting chains to be able to be linked together, as illustrated in FIG. 2(b), may be composed of snap button sets, as illustrated in FIG. 2(a), or may be composed of Velcro tapes, as illustrated in FIG. 2(c) so that the head cover connector can be attached to and detached from the body or club head cover.

With regard to the golf bag according to the present subject matter, in another embodiment of the head cover connector, the body may be configured to be attachable and detachable and the club head cover may be configured to be fixed. In this case, the first fixture and the first connector may be configured in the same way as described above. Also, the second fixture and the second connector may be integrated to prevent separation.

With the golf bag described herein, the golf clubs stored in the golf bag can be easily checked by enabling the club head marked with a golf club identification number to be connected.

Example 2

The structure of the bag in accordance with another embodiment of the present subject matter is described by referring to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4. FIG. 3 is a perspective view that illustrates the golf bag according to the embodiment of the present subject matter and FIG. 4 is a perspective view that illustrates the club head cover and number tag applied to the golf bag according to the embodiment of the present subject matter. Referring to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, the golf bag (20) is composed of the body (200) with an opening to store or withdraw golf clubs, multiple club head covers (210a and 210b), multiple head cover connectors (220) that connect the body with club head covers, and golf club number tags (240).

The body (200) has a number tag attachment and detachment area (230) to attach and detach one or more golf club number tags. Although it may be preferable for the number tag attachment and detachment area (230) to be formed on the outer surface of the body's opening, it is possible for the area to be formed in other locations.

The number tag attachment and detachment area and the golf club number tag may be equipped with a Velcro tape or with a magnetic substance and a magnet to be able to be attached and detached.

The golf club number tag is marked with a golf club number, is equipped with the first fixture (244) to be able to fix one end of the head cover connector, and is able to be attached to and detached from the number tag attachment and detachment area. In order for the golf club number tag to be able to be attached to and detached from the number tag attachment and detachment area, a Velcro tape (242) can be installed or a magnet or magnetic substance can be used.

The club head cover is composed of a structure that covers the golf club head, has the golf club identification number marked on the surface, and is equipped with the second fixture to fix another end of the head cover connector.

The head cover connector (220) connects the golf club number tag and the club head cover, and is fixed on the first fixture and on the second fixture.

One embodiment of the above-mentioned head cover connector is equipped with the connector body of a certain length, the first connector that is configured to be able to be attached to and detached from the first fixture and that is installed on one end of the connector body, and the second connector that is configured to be able to be attached to and detached from the second fixture and that is installed on another end of the connector body, so that the head cover connector is able to be attached to and detached from the golf club number tags and club head covers.

Another embodiment of the head cover connector is in a certain length and is equipped with the connector body with one end fixed to the second fixture and the first connector body which is configured to be able to be attached to and detached from the first fixture and which is installed on another end of the connector body, so that the head cover connector is able to be attached to and detached from the golf club number tags. FIG. 4 illustrates this embodiment. FIG. 4(a) illustrates the connector (220) connected to the club head cover (210) in a single frame and FIGS. 4(b) and (c) are perspective views illustrating the front and back of the golf club number tag (240). The figures represent the first connector (214), first fixture (244), and Velcro tape (242), respectively.

Another embodiment of the head cover connector is in a certain length and is equipped with the connector body fixed on the first fixture and the second connector which is configured to be able to be attached to and detached from the second fixture and which is installed on another end of the connector body, so that the head cover connector part is able to be attached to and detached from the club head cover.

Embodiments of the present subject matter are illustrated and described above. The present subject matter subject matter is not limited only to those embodiments. A person with an ordinary skill in the art will be able to make changes and modifications in various ways within the bounds of the spirit of the present subject matter.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

The golf bag according to the present subject matter is to prevent golf clubs from being misplaced and at the same time to protect golf club heads from being damaged, and may be used widely in the field of golf.

Claims

1. A golf bag, comprising:

a body for storing golf clubs comprising an area for number tag attachment and detachment so that one or more golf club number tags can be attached and detached thereto,

a plurality of golf club number tags each having a respective golf club number marked on its surface which can be attached to and detached from the number tag attachment and detachment area,

a plurality of club head covers that each cover a head of a respective golf club, and

a plurality of head cover connectors that each connect a respective golf club number tag and a respective club head cover,

wherein each golf club number tag comprises a first fixture to fix one end of the head cover connector,

each club head cover comprises a second fixture to fix another end of the head cover connector, and

the head cover connector is fixed to the first fixture and the second fixture.

The golf bag of claim 1, wherein the head cover connector comprises a connector body having a certain length, a first connector installed on one end of the connector body and is configured to be attached to and detached from the first fixture, and a second connector installed on another end of the connector body and configured to be attached to and detached from the second fixture, whereby the head cover connector can be attached to and detached from the golf club number tags and club head covers.

3. The golf bag of claim 1, wherein the head cover connector comprises a connector body having a certain length where one end of the body is fixed to the second fixture, and a first connector that is installed on another end of the connector body and is configured to be attached to and detached from the first fixture, whereby the head cover connector can be attached to and detached from the golf club number tags.

The golf bag of claim 1, wherein the head cover connector comprises a connector body having a certain length where one end of the body is fixed to the first fixture and the second connector that is installed on another end of the connector body and is configured to be attached to and detached from the second fixture, whereby the head cover connector can be attached to and detached from the club head cover.

5. The golf bag of claim 1, wherein the club head cover is marked with a golf club identification number.

6. The golf bag of claim 1, where the golf club number tags are installed with Velcro tapes to be attached to and detached from each other.
