Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present inventions relates to a heat exchanger element of large surface.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The heat exchangers that operate with internal pressure, for example in water tube boilers, generally includes tubes of various shapes and in such amounts as to provide the area required to exchange the amount heat that is intended. In these equipment the of heat exchange is directly proportional to the number of tubes of the same diameter, carrying a linear relationship between the size and the ability of heat exchange.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The objective of the present invention is to provide an element of heat exchanger of large surface, replacing sets of pipes, in such a way to enable the construction of more compact heat exchangers providing a larger exchanging area per furnace volume.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The FIGURE shows a heat exchanger element according to an embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawing:—two metal plates 1 and 2 having half spheroidal cavities 3 and polygonal bases 4. The polygonal base having any suitable number of sides, as for example, square or pentagonal.

The two plates 1 and 2 are specularly juxtaposed in such a way that the half spheroidal cavities 3 conform a interconnected polyspherical space 5.

Plates 1 and 2 when juxtaposed are fastened together at the contact points 6 of the polygonal bases by any suitable fastening elements 7 such as welding, rivets, screws, etc, as well the plates edges 8, making pressure tight the so created polispherical space.

Input pipe 8 and output pipe 9 allow the circulation of the fluid to heat or cool.

This constructive layout behaves, when subjected to internal or external pressure similar to the way several interconnected spherical vessels behave, providing a large surface pressure resistant element.
