Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a pair of pants, and more particularly to a pair of pants for a person with limited mobility, which allows the person sitting in a urinal chair to urinate conveniently.

2. Description of Related Art

Urination is a serious matter for spine-injured-patients, incontinent patients, elderly people and convalescents undergoing rehabilitation who must use wheel-chairs or special-purpose chairs for a long period of time in their daily lives. In order to solve the urination problem, a urinal chair is equipped an urination apparatus so that above persons with limited mobility could urinate just upon the urinal chair. However, the person who sits in the urinal chair should take pants off to urinate, which is inconvenient for the person to use.

Referring to FIG. 4, a pair of conventional pants 4 includes a waistband 41, two pants legs 42 extending from the waistband 41 and a zipper 5 disposed at the front of the pants 4. A zipper head 51 is moved along the zipper to open or close the zipper 5. The zipper head 51 is pulled to move downwardly from the waistband 41 to open the zipper 5, so that a user could take pants 4 off to urinate in the urinal chair.

However, the conventional pants are inconvenient for the person with limited mobility sitting in the urinal chair to urinate. The zipper of the conventional pants cannot open to a crotch of the pants. Therefore, the person who sits in the urinal chair is hard to urinate just open the zipper. Specifically, when the zipper of the conventional pants is closed, the zipper head is located at the waistband of the pants such that the zipper head is hidden in wrinkles of the pants easily. Therefore, the zipper of the conventional pants is inconvenient to be operated as the person sits in the urinal chair.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the disadvantages of the conventional pants.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a pair of improved pants.

To achieve the objective, a pair of pants for a person with limited mobility, which is convenient for the person sitting in a urinal chair to urinate, comprises a pants body and a zipper. The pants body has a waistband, two pants legs extending from the waistband, a crotch disposed at a joining of the two pants legs and an opening defined between the waistband and the crotch of the pants body. The zipper has two rows of teeth disposed at two opposite edges of the opening of the pants body and a zipper head being movable along the two rows of the teeth. The zipper defines an open end at the waistband and a closed end at the crotch. Specifically, the zipper head is pulled to move upwardly from the closed end at the crotch to the open end at the waistband of the pants body to open the zipper. Therefore, when the zipper head is positioned at the open end of the zipper, the zipper is fully opened; in contrast, when the zipper head is positioned at the closed end of the zipper, the zipper is fully closed.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 2 is another perspective view of the pants of FIG. 1, wherein a zipper of the pants is opened;

FIG. 3 illustrates that the disable person with the pants of FIG. 1 sit in a urinal chair; and

FIG. 4 is a prior art.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1-2, a pair of pants for a person with limited mobility in accordance with the present invention, which is convenient for the person sitting in a urinal chair 3 to urinate, comprises a pants body 1 and a zipper 2. The pants body 1 has a waistband 11, two pants legs 12, and a crotch 13 defined between two pants legs 12.

As shown in FIGS. 1-2, the two pants legs 12 extend from the waistband 11 and the crotch 13 is disposed at a joining of the two pants legs 12. The pants body 1 has an opening 14 vertically extending from the waistband 11 to the rear of the crotch 13. The zipper 2 is defined at edges of the opening 14 of the pants body 1. The zipper 2 has two rows of teeth 21 disposed at two opposite edges of the opening 14 of the pants body 1 and a zipper head 22 being movable along the two rows of the teeth 21. The zipper 2 defines an open end 23 at the waistband 11 and a closed end 24 at the crotch 13. When the zipper head 22 is positioned at the open end 23 of the zipper 2, the zipper 2 is fully opened. In contrast, when the zipper head 22 is positioned at the closed end 24 of the zipper 2, the zipper 2 is fully closed.

Under this arrangement, the zipper head 22 is pulled to move upwardly from the open end 23 toward the closed end 24 to interlock the two rows of teeth 21 so that the opening 14 of the pants body 1 is closed. In contrast, the zipper head 22 is pulled to move from the closed end 24 toward the open end 23 to separate the two rows of teeth 21 so that the opening 14 of the pants body 1 is opened. Specifically, the zipper head 22 is located at the crotch 13 of the pants body 1 as the zipper 2 is closed.

FIG. 3 illustrates that the person with limited mobility wears the pants of the present invention and sits upon the urinal chair 3. The urinal chair 3 equips with a urination apparatus 33. The urinal chair 3 has a seat cushion 31 and a through hole 32 defined in the seat cushion 31. The urination apparatus 33 is disposed under the seat cushion 31 of the urinal chair 3. Specifically, the zipper head 22 is located at the crotch 13 of the pants body I while the zipper 2 is closed. Therefore, the person could directly and easily pull the zipper head 22 toward the waistband 11 to separate the two rows of the teeth 21 upon the urinal chair 3. In particular, the opening 14 of the pants body 1 extends to the crotch 13, which allows the person with limited mobility to conveniently urinate toward the through hole 32 of the seat cushion 31 via the opening 14 of the pants body 1.

Referring to FIGS. 1-2, the zipper 2 is an open-ended zipper. Specifically, one of the two rows of teeth 21 has a retainer 211 at the open end 23 and the other row of teeth 21 has an insertion 212 opposite to the retainer 211. The zipper head 22 is attached to the row of the teeth 21 with retainer 211 initially. The retainer 211 is disposed near the waistband 11 to prevent the zipper head 22 from being lost. The insertion 212 is configured to be inserted into the zipper head 22 and secured in the retainer 211, so that the zipper head 22 could be pulled to move toward the crotch 13 of the pants body 1 to mesh the two rows of teeth 21 together as to close the opening 14 of the pants body 1.

Furthermore the pants body 1 has a cushion pad 15 disposed at the crotch 13 and extending to the rear side of the pants body 1. The cushion pad 15 affords the person with limited mobility great comfort and cushion effect so as to avoid a bedsore caused by sitting in the chair for a long time. Moreover, the waistband 11 of the pants body 1 has a male connection 111 disposed at one side of the opening 14 and a female connection 112 disposed at the other side of the opening 14. The male connection 111 is detachably connected to the female connection 112 so as to couple the waistband 11 at opposing sides of the opening 14, wherein the male connection 111 and the female connection 112 of the waistband 11 are connected by means of hook-and-loop fasteners, snaps or buttons.

It is to be understood that the disclosed embodiments are illustrative in nature and the invention is not to be limited to any one or more embodiments except as set forth in the following claims.
