Abstract

Disclosed is a golf putter for a user to putt a golf ball, comprising: a club shaft; and a club head with a putting face that is for in contact with a golf ball so that the golf ball is putted to roll in a putting direction, wherein an axis of the putting direction is substantially perpendicular to a pseudo linking axis that links between user's feet, and an axis of the club shaft substantially intersects or extending intersects with a lateral middle line of a longitudinal axis of the club head.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a golf club, and more particularly to a golf putter that putts a golf ball steadier and more accuracy.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Recently, the sport of golf has become more and more popular in the world, especially for the young generation. The innovation of a golf club is flourishing as all manufacturers are trying their best to pursue a golf club able to gain a shot of longer distance and is swung smoother.

A golf putter is for making relatively short and low-speed strokes or called a putt with the intention of rolling the ball into the hole from a short distance away. The precision of a putt plays a very important role in a golf game, which is substantially determined not only by a user's judgment to a green and a golf putter itself including a shape, a weight, a material, a balance, a length and a lie degree, but also most importantly by a player's skill to control a putter with regard to an address, a putting path, a hand control, a club head release and so on. The skill of a putter determines a large portion of a game score for some golf players, and therefore the skill of a putter is pursued by most golfers.

However, in a prior art, a rolling direction and a aiming direction when a player putts a golf ball is perpendicular to an address direction of a player , so the ball aiming and club head releasing are somewhat not nature and difficult. The difficult address, which may need more practice or a professional tuition, of a conventional putter limits a square face impact between a putter and a golf ball, since the conventional way to putt a ball is a highly complex movement involving motions of arms, shoulders and trunk, and a small uncoordinated movement will result in the putt unstable and less accuracy.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of above, it is an object of the present invention to provide a golf putter that is easy for a golfer to putt a stable and accurate golf putting.

Therefore, the present invention overcomes the drawbacks of the conventional putter and provides a golf putter for a user to putt a golf ball, comprising: a club shaft; and a club head with a putting face that is for in contact with a golf ball so that the golf ball is putted to roll in a putting direction, wherein an axis of the putting direction is substantially perpendicular to a pseudo linking axis that links between user's feet, and an axis of the club shaft substantially intersects or extending intersects with a lateral middle line of a longitudinal axis of the club head.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the axis of the club shaft is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the club head.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the club head is with an upper surface that has a jointing portion located at a midpoint of the longitudinal axis of the club head, the jointing portion is for attaching the club shaft.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the axis of the club shaft keeps intersecting with the axis of the putting direction.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the club shaft has an attaching portion for jointing with the jointing portion.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the club shaft has an attaching element for attaching the club shaft with an upper surface of the club head.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the club shaft has an attaching element that is attached with a surface of the club head opposite to the putting face.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the club shaft has an attaching element that is attached with the club head at two longitudinal ends of the club head.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the club shaft is attached with a jointing surface of the club head in a manner that the axis of the club shaft is substantially perpendicular to the jointing surface.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein a moving line of the club head is intersected with the pseudo linking axis.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein the club head and the club shaft are formed integrally with each other.

With the characteristic features as above, a golfer can putt a golf ball through a direction perpendicular to a pseudo line between two feet of the golfer to thus a putting movement becomes easier in body coordination to obtain a stable and accurate putting.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Embodiments are described in detail as below with reference to the FIGS. 1 to 4c, and the description is used for explaining the embodiments of the present invention only, but not for limiting the scope of the claims.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a golf putter 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a club shaft 1; and a club head 2 with a putting face 21 that is for in contact with a golf ball 3 so that the golf ball 3 is putted to roll in a putting direction D3, wherein an axis A3 of the putting direction D3 is substantially perpendicular to a pseudo linking axis A4 that links between user's feet F, and an axis A1 of the club shaft 1 substantially intersects or extending intersects with a lateral middle line L2 of a longitudinal axis A2 of the club head 2. Preferably, the axis A3 of the putting direction D3 is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis A2 of the club head 2.

As shown in FIG. 2, by means of the above structure, the golf putter 100 is gripped by a player in his/her front side, and a golf ball is putted toward the player's front direction as the players swings the golf putter 100 from backward to frontward. A moving line of the club head 2 is intersected with the pseudo linking axis A4 that links between user's feet F, and the axis A1 of the club shaft 1 keeps intersecting or extending intersecting with the axis A3 of the putting direction D3 during the putting, to thus a putting movement becomes easier in body coordination to obtain a stable and accurate putting.

In the present invention, the connection between the club shaft 1 and the club head 2 can be with other various structures. As shown in FIG. 3, in the golf putter 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention, the club shaft 1 has an attaching portion 11, and the club head 2 is with an upper surface 22 that has a jointing portion 221 located at a midpoint C2 of the longitudinal axis A2 of the club head 2 and is jointed with the attaching portion 11 of the club shaft 1. Although in this embodiment, the attaching portion 11 is a convex portion and the jointing portion 221 is a concave portion, the present invention is not intended to limit these, and in some embodiments, the attaching portion 11 can be a concave portion and the jointing portion 221 can be a convex portion.

As shown in FIG. 4a, in a golf putter according to another embodiment of the present invention, a club shaft 1 has an attaching element 12 attached with an upper surface 22 of the club head 2. The club shaft 1 is attached with a jointing surface, i.e., the upper surface 22, of the club head 2 in a manner that the axis A1 of the club shaft 1 is substantially perpendicular to the jointing surface.

As shown in FIG. 4b, in a golf putter according to another embodiment of the present invention, a club shaft 1 has an attaching element 12a attached with a surface 23 of the club head 2 opposite to the putting face 21. In this embodiment, although an axis A1 of the club shaft 1 is not perpendicular to the upper surface 22, the axis A1 of the club shaft 1 is still substantially intersects with a lateral middle line L2 of the longitudinal axis A2 of the club head 2.

As shown in FIG. 4c, in a golf putter according to another embodiment of the present invention, a club shaft 1 has an attaching element 12b attached with the club head 2 at two longitudinal ends of the club head 2. In the embodiment, an axis A1 of the club shaft 1 is substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis A2 of the club head 2 and substantially intersects with a lateral middle line L2 of the longitudinal axis A2 of the club head 2, and the axis A1 of the club shaft 1 further intersects with a midpoint P2 of the longitudinal axis A2 of the club head 2.

In addition, although it is described as above that a club shaft 1 and a club head 2 are jointed with each other by an attaching process, the present invention is not intended to limit these, and in some embodiments, a club shaft 1 and a club head 2 can be formed integrally with each other.

Moreover, in the present invention, the club shaft 1 and the club head 2 can be of any kinds of shape and size or is with any varied jointing location.

The above description should be considered as only the discussion of the preferred embodiments of the present invention. However, a person having an ordinary skill in the art may make various modifications to the present invention. Moreover, such modifications still fall within the spirit and scope defined by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A golf putter for a user to putt a golf ball, comprising:

a club shaft; and

a club head with a putting face that is for in contact with a golf ball so that the golf ball is putted to roll in a putting direction,

wherein an axis of the putting direction is substantially perpendicular to a pseudo linking axis that links between user's feet, and

an axis of the club shaft substantially intersects or extending intersects with a lateral middle line of a longitudinal axis of the club head.

2. The golf putter of claim 1, wherein the axis of the club shaft is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the club head.

3. The golf putter of claim 1, wherein the club head is with an upper surface that has a jointing portion located at a midpoint of the longitudinal axis of the club head, the jointing portion is for attaching the club shaft.

4. The golf putter of claim 1, wherein the axis of the club shaft keeps intersecting with the axis of the putting direction.

5. The golf putter of claim 2, wherein the club shaft has an attaching portion for jointing with the jointing portion.

6. The golf putter of claim 1, wherein the club shaft has an attaching element for attaching the club shaft with an upper surface of the club head.

7. The golf putter of claim 1, wherein the club shaft has an attaching element that is attached with a surface of the club head opposite to the putting face.

8. The golf putter of claim 1, wherein the club shaft has an attaching element that is attached with the club head at two longitudinal ends of the club head.

9. The golf putter of claim 1, wherein the club shaft is attached with a jointing surface of the club head in a manner that the axis of the club shaft is substantially perpendicular to the jointing surface.

10. The golf putter of claim 1, wherein a moving line of the club head is intersected with the pseudo linking axis.

11. The golf putter of claim 1, wherein the club head and the club shaft are formed integrally with each other.
