Snap-a-cap
A cap for disposable beverage cans, the cap comprising: a top surface of clear plastic, the top surface including a drinking spout; a circumferential lip surrounding the top surface and extending upwardly relative thereto; and a circumferential sidewall extending downwardly relative to the top surface, the circumferential sidewall tapering outwardly from the top surface to a lower edge of the sidewall.
The present invention pertains to disposable beverage cans and, more specifically, to a cap for disposable beverage cans.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONHave you ever taken a drink from a can and found an insect or debris inside? If you leave your drink unattended insects can make their way into them, leaving your drink undrinkable. Have you ever put your drink down and your method of covering the drinking area was a strategically twisted piece of paper towel in the drinking hole that falls inside your can or, a piece of paper towel over the entire can that blows away?
The foregoing and other features of the present invention will be more readily understood and appreciated by reference to the written description and accompanying drawings.
The invention was created with sanitation in mind. It was developed while working in a warehouse environment. Snap-A-Cap is a disposable cap for canned drinks designed to prevent this and aid in a sanitary drinking experience when drinking from cans. It has a handy spout for when you wish to take a drink and a flap that pushes downward to prevent insects and foreign material from entering your drink. This product was made through many hours of design strategy implementation, we have accomplished our goal: a cost-effective and easy to manufacture product. It has a vacuum formed polystyrene cap and an injection molded steel form. A prototype product sample has been built, and Pro-E technical drawings are available.
