HANDHELD PUSH-UP DEVICE WITH BUFFERING AND ASSISTING FUNCTIONS
The present invention discloses a handheld push-up device with buffering and assisting functions including a base, an elastic unit and an extension rod. The base is installed with the elastic unit and the extension rod is installed on the elastic unit. When an exerciser uses both hands to press the extension rod downward, the direct impact force carried by the wrists can be reduced by the elastic unit, which avoids sport injuries and acts as a supportive force to a beginner or a person with an inferior physical strength.
(a) Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a handheld push-up device with buffering and assisting functions, and more particularly to a push-up training device with the effects of elastic assistance and impact buffering.
(b) Description of the Prior Art
The push-up is a very popular exercise that can be taken at any time, and the most common one is an inverted U-shaped push-up training device. However, as a beginner's arms are unable to carry the body weight, he or she will often give up after using the device for a few times, thereby losing the meaning of exercising. On the other hand, if the exerciser reluctantly pushes the body up completely or pushes the body up halfway that his or her arms lose strength, the body will fall down immediately to the ground, causing damages and accidents.
There are vendors who have developed all kinds of auxiliary devices for the push-up exercises, such as the Taiwanese Patent Publication Nos. M256203, M421135, 201223589. For most of these push-up devices, the exerciser's chest or abdomen is abutted at a cushion seat, a cushion or a stand to support the body weight and reduce the body weight that the arms need to carry.
All of the abovementioned conventional push-up devices utilize the exerciser's weight to press down the cushion seat, the cushion or the stand to assist the push-up exercise, without completely using the arms' strength to resist the body weight. Although this kind of push-up device can achieve the exercise effect superficially, it cannot actually achieve the purpose of exercising the breast muscles. Moreover, taking the exercise is to enhance the physical strength and the cardiopulmonary function (lung capacity), and doing the push-up exercise is primarily to thicken the breast muscles.
Therefore, the most fundamental point of exercising is that when exercising, there should be absolutely no obstacles that press the chest and affect the cardiopulmonary function to avoid not breathing smoothly, feeling stuffed in the chest, hypoxia, vomiting. In addition, as the chest is pressed by an external force, the development of muscles is limited, which loses the meaning of exercising and results in more man-made sport injuries. Therefore, these prior arts need to be improved.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIt is therefore the primary object of the present invention to provide an innovative handheld push-up device with the functions of elastic assistance and impact buffering. The device applies to all age groups and can be adapted into various training methods and effects.
To enable a further understanding of the said objectives and the technological methods of the invention herein, the brief description of the drawings below is followed by the detailed description of the preferred embodiments.

As each exerciser has different weight, the gravity that he or she can carry is different either. If the exerciser is heavier, the cover 50 can be separated with the base 10 to replace a stronger elastic unit 20 in the extension rod 30. Referring to

Accordingly, the present invention is provided with the effects of elastic assistance and impact buffering and can be used for all age groups. With the present invention, a variety of training methods for exercising the arm strength can be implemented and a supportive force can be provided to a beginner or a person with an inferior physical strength, preventing sport injuries that result from a prolonged heavy pressure to the wrists.
It is to be understood that the above description and drawings are only used for illustrating some embodiments of the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Any variation and deviation from the above description and drawings should be included in the scope of the present invention.
