Toilet Height Extensions

Abstract

A toilet height extension device. The toilet height extension device includes an extension base, a plumbing connection, and a mounting location. The extension base mounts between a toilet and a floor to extend a seat height of the toilet relative to the floor. The plumbing connection passes through the extension base and provides a hydraulic connection between the toilet and a floor plumbing. The mounting location is substantially within the extension base to receive mounting hardware to secure the extension body relative to the toilet and the floor.

T.H.E. is made of a High Strength Resin plastic, mold and mildew resistant. Is paintable to match any particular color needed to match decor.

Is a solid design/structure with a top seal cavity 12 and on the bottom being the same.

Will have 2 main threaded toilet bolts 10 to connect and secure the extension base to the existing floor toilet flange and to the toilet that will sit on top of T.H.E. permanent Base 18. Bolt Length, depends on what size client orders, height.

The inside is mostly hollow, but has molded in its self-tube like structure to give its strength and support needed while keeping the base (T.H.E.) a light weight unit. Thereby making it last forever, and can be reused and reinstalled many times. (Is such like an aircraft composite honey comb structure).

T.H.E will have a grove 12 molded into the flat bottom side around the bottom edge of the base 18 to incorporate a self-sealing seal for most floor surfaces keeping the unit base stationary.

The solid toilet height extension will be place below the toilet unit thereby raising the existing toilet to a more comfortable height, unit is either typically 3″ 6″ 9″ or 12″ Plus++ tall which ever will be more comfortable for sitting down and getting up from the existing toilet seat, especially with anybody pains, joints, arthritis, age. Thereby reducing any further straining or damage to the human body.

FIG. 4 depicts a schematic diagram of a top view of one embodiment of a toilet height extension. In the top view, the extension 18 is made to any length (length range from approx. 18″ to 29″+/− and a width range of approx. 10″0 10 15″+/−). The top has a self-seal 14 around the hole opening 16.

FIG. 5 depicts a schematic diagram of a side view of one embodiment of a toilet height extension. The base 18 is approx 3″, 6″, or 9″ +. Base 18 heights range from 2″ to 18″ tall with a seal 12 around the base contacting the existing floor and self-sealing.

FIG. 6 depicts a schematic diagram of a front view of one embodiment of a toilet height extension. The extension 18 is a standard 2.5″+/−. The tapered tube 20 length protrudes down into the existing hole in the floor plumbing approx. 4″+/−.

Claims

1. A toilet height extension device comprising:

an extension base configured to mount between a toilet and a floor to extend a seat height of the toilet relative to the floor;

a plumbing connection through the extension base configured to provide a hydraulic connection between the toilet and a floor plumbing; and

a mounting location substantially within the extension base to receive mounting hardware to secure the extension base relative to the toilet and the floor.

2. The device of claim 1, wherein the extension base comprises an internal structure.

3. The device of claim 2, wherein the internal structure of the extension base comprises a tube-like structure.

4. The device of claim 3, wherein the tube-like structure comprises a honeycomb structure.

5. The device of claim 1, wherein the extension base comprises a top seal cavity and bottom seal cavity, wherein the top seal cavity is configured to seal the extension base to the toilet and the bottom seal is configured to seal the extension base to the floor.

6. The device of claim 1, wherein the plumbing connection a tube to extend between the toilet and the floor through the extension base.

7. The device of claim 6, wherein the tube is tapered to fit a range of pipe sizes.
