SHIRT HARNESS
An inner and/or outer layer of non-stretchable material or material having non-elastomeric components, affixed as a lining to a garment or undergarment made from stretchable material to cover the surface of the shoulders and lateral torso walls areas, which when bind against the body acts as an harness, to perform as support and restraint the weight of a holster that is fastened on to the outer layer of the non-stretchable material. The layer of non-stretchable material combined with stretchable fabric, keeps from stretching out of shape and strengthens the area covered by the fabric, for instance where the holster that supports the weight of a handgun and ammunition magazines or other hand held type products that are fastened to the garment or undergarment.
The present invention relates generally to the field of holsters for handguns, specifically a holster shirt for concealed carry wears.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION No holster shirt has been provided that can be worn as an outer or under shirt that includes lateral torso portions discretely integrated therein that provide both, support and restraint of the weight placed from a holster that is fastened onto the garment. Some holster shirts heretofore utilized are simply constructed only to support the weight of a holster and to present a neat appearance, and lack significant support when the wearers body is in motion, they are also limited in restraint in the elimination of swaying and sagging of handgun or any other hand held product placed inside the holster that is fastened onto the garment.
Most holster shirts are manufactured with 100% cotton or polyester type materials, etc., but non-offer an integral solution to both support and restraint the swaying and the sagging of a holster fastened to the garment. Like the aforementioned shirts appointed to prevent shifting upon the wearer's body, these non elasticized or elasticized form fitting garments are generally fabricated from either all elastic or all non elastic elements integrated into portions of the garment in order to keep the handgun in place, but fall far from preventing swaying or sagging under body motion, making them uncomfortable and useless under most active conditions.
A solution is a layer of non-stretchable material a.k.a. shirt harness, affixed to a garment and/or undergarment made of stretchable materials, in which when both materials combined they bring out the best of both worlds, a self adjusting shirt harness.
Notwithstanding the efforts of prior art workers to construct a holster shirt, there remains a need in the art for a self adjusting shirt harness, adapted to both support the weight and restraint the movement from a loaded holster that is fastened on to a shirt which will result in comfort mostly when worn under active conditions.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTIONA layer of non-stretchable material a.k.a. shirt harness, which is used in the manufacture of a holster shirt, such fabric is affixed to a garment and/or undergarment made from stretchable material, and is sewn onto the garment and/or undergarment as an inner and/or outer layer covering the surfaces of the shoulders and lateral torso walls, providing support and restraint, eliminating the sagging and swaying from the weight of a holster that is fastened onto the garment.
