Container Covering System
A container covering system conceals the overlap between a container and a liner positioned within the container. The system includes a container having a bottom wall and a perimeter wall coupled to and extending upwardly from the bottom wall. A top edge of the perimeter wall defines an access opening into the container. A liner is removably positioned within the container. The liner has a size and shape to abut and cover an inner surface of each of the bottom wall and the perimeter wall. A sleeve is positionable around the container wherein the sleeve extends upwardly above the top edge of the perimeter wall. A top of the sleeve has an opening positioned therein. The opening extends around the top edge of the perimeter wall when the sleeve is positioned around the container.
The disclosure relates to covering systems and more particularly pertains to a new covering system for concealing the overlap between a container and a liner positioned within the container to provide a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSUREAn embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a container having a bottom wall and a perimeter wall coupled to and extending upwardly from the bottom wall. A top edge of the perimeter wall extends defines an access opening into the container. A liner is removably positioned within the container. The liner has a size and shape to abut and cover an inner surface of each of the bottom wall and the perimeter wall. A sleeve is positionable around the container and extends upwardly above the top edge of the perimeter wall. A top of the sleeve has an opening positioned therein. The opening in the top of the sleeve extends around the top edge of the perimeter wall when the sleeve is positioned around the container.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A liner 22 is removably positioned within the container 12. The liner 22 has a size and shape to abut and cover an inner surface 24 of each of the bottom wall 14 and the perimeter wall 16. The liner 22 is constructed from a flexible material, such as plastic, an elastomer, or the like. The liner 22 extends over and abuts the top edge 20 of the perimeter wall 16 such that the liner 22 is suspended from the top edge 20 of the perimeter wall 16 when the liner is positioned within the container 12. Thus, as shown in
A sleeve 26 is positionable around the container 12 wherein the sleeve 26 extends from the bottom wall 14 upwardly above the top edge 20 of the perimeter wall 16. A top 28 of the sleeve 26 has an opening 32 positioned therein. The opening 32 extends around the top edge 20 of the perimeter wall 16 when the sleeve 26 is positioned around the container 12. This allows the container 12 to be used to collect waste in a conventional manner without interference from the sleeve 26. A bottom 30 of the sleeve 26 may be open to allow the sleeve 26 to be more easily positioned around the container 12. The sleeve 26 may taper outwardly from the top 28 to the bottom 30 of the sleeve 26. The sleeve 26 may be spaced from the container 12 when the sleeve 26 is positioned around the container 12 such that none of the sleeve 26 comes into contact with the container 12. The opening 32 is bounded by a lip 34 extending inwardly over the container 12. The lip 34 may be arcuate.
In use, as stated above and shown in the Figures, the liner 22 is positioned within the container 12 such that the liner 22 is suspended from the top edge 20 of the perimeter wall 16. The container 12 is used in a conventional manner to collect waste and refuse. However, the sleeve 26 is positioned around the container 12 to hide any visible overlap between the liner 22 and the container 12 so as to present a more pleasing aesthetic appearance.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
