Stickle Seat

The Stickle Seat is a portable seat attachment that is attached to a walking stick or pole that is very lightweight and is foldable in an up and down motion. The seat attachment can be removed and carried separately or can be carried on the stick or pole when using the walking stick or pole. In a completely folded position it is held in place resting against the stick or pole and in an open position it is at an angle for a person to sit on the seat facing the stick or pole or with the persons back to the stick or pole.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention

The Stickle Seat is a walking stick with a foldable seat.

(2) Description of the art including information disclosed under 37 CFR 1.97 & 1.98

The art described in the drawings of the design and utility function illustrate the unique ability of the Stickle Seat invention using a foldable seat. We found 1 U.S. Pat. No. 4,684,090 that has a type of foldable seat however the folding mechanism is much different from our invention.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The Stickle Seat is a walking stick or trekking pole that uses a foldable seat that is also removable.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS

There are 4 drawings in total that describe and illustrate the design and function of the Stickle Seat. The stick or pole is in broken lines and is not a part of this application and is for illustration purposes only.

FIG. 1: is the ¾ view of the invention.

FIG. 2: is the ¾ view in a semi folded position.

FIG. 3: is the ¾ view in completely folded position.

FIG. 4: is the ¾ exploded view of the invention in all of its parts.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The Stickle Seat is a new method of taking a walking stick or trekking pole and attaching a foldable seat to it. Many people use the sticks or poles for hiking and such and having a foldable lightweight seat is something very fast and easy to use. The foldable seat uses a round seat of metal, plastic or even wood if desired. It is designed so that a frame is screwed into the stick or pole and may be welded in place for metal. The seat frame itself is designed to fold upward to fold flat against the stick or pole and can be folded into an open position so that a person can sit on the seat facing the stick or pole or sitting with their back against the seat. It can also be removed by pulling out the cotter pin and carrying it on a back pack and such.

Claims

1. A foldable and removable seat attachment to a walking stick or pole comprising of:

a foldable support frame;
a seat frame;
a foldable support leg;
an angled rail guide;
a bottom frame connector;
a main frame;
a cotter pin and key with the chain;
a top frame connector;
a pair of rubber roller wheels;
a stick or pole frame to connect with the seat main frame.

2. A foldable seat attachment to a walking stick or pole with a functionality of:

a main frame with a top and bottom connector to hold the foldable support frame and the foldable support leg allowing them to move upward and downward together in a vertical parallel motion;
