Decorative detachable apparel accessory

Abstract

A clothing decoration system which is detachable and interchangeable, not needing any adjustments to be made to the garment itself, said garment does not need to have a receiving part/mechanism. The clothing decoration system is attached to the host garment by different means, including but not limited to hooks and magnetic material. The clothing decoration system can be made of unlimited kinds and types of materials and/or substrates, including but not limited to metal fabric, metal mesh, fabric, lace, beads, trims, chain, etc. The invention can be applied to garments, including but no limited to garments' hems, including but not limited to: pants, tops, sleeves skirts, dresses, hats, shoes, purses, embodiments of which can be worn as earrings and jewelry.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims the benefit of provisional patent application number Ser. No. 61871811 filed 2013 Aug. 29 by the present inventor.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

I have found that apparel accessories and embellishments require permanent changes to be made to the host garment, this limits their life to the life of its host garment and only that one garment.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A clothing decoration system which is detachable and interchangeable. The invention can be applied to garments, including but no limited to garments' hems, including but not limited to: pants, tops, sleeves, skirts, dresses, shorts, collars, hats, shoes, purses, embodiments of which can be worn as earrings and jewelry.

Adds style to any outfit on the go, it's small and light, quick and easy to attach to garment.

Unlike other decorative apparel accessories, this system is complete by itself and attaches to the apparel without any modification to the host garment, said garment does not need to have a receiving part/mechanism.

It attaches to garment by different means, including but not limited to hooks, magnets, hook or loop fasteners, etc.

Obviously, numerous variations and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. Therefore, it should be clearly understood that the form of the present invention described above and shown in the figures of the accompanying drawings is illustrative only and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

Advantages

Several advantages of one or more aspects are that it can be attached to a garment quickly and easily without making any changes to the host garment. Another advantage is that it adds length to the apparel to which it is attached, as when adding length to pants, as needed when changing from flat shoes to high heel shoes. Another advantage of one or more aspects is its small size, making it very practical to take when traveling, minimizing the amount of luggage. Other advantages of one or more aspects will become apparent from a consideration of the ensuing description and accompanying drawings.

The reader will see that at least one the decorative detachable apparel accessory embodiments provides a practical, quick and easy way to embellish, add length to apparel, give new life to existing garments and multiply the wardrobe.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 1A-B, garments P and T are shown having a detachable interchangeable clothing decorative accessory 10. In the present example, the garment P is a pair of pants having a detachable interchangeable clothing decorative accessory 10 attached on the hems of each pant leg, and garment T is a top having a detachable interchangeable clothing decorative accessory 10 attached to the main section, and to each sleeve. In general, however, the detachable interchangeable clothing decorative accessory 10 can be used on garments, including but not limited to the garments' hems, including but not limited to: pants, tops, sleeves, skirts, dresses, shorts, collars, hats, shoes, purses.

Referring to FIG. 2A-D, the detachable interchangeable clothing decorative accessory 10 for garments P and T includes a decorative strip 10 having hooks 20, 30, 40 and/or magnets 50 attached to them. The strip of hooks on 20 can be attached to the decorative strip 10 by unlimited methods, including but not limited to sewing and gluing. The hooks on 30 and 40 can be attached to the decorative strip 10 by unlimited methods, including but not limited to crocheting. The hooks 20, 30 and 40 attach to the inside of the hemline of the garment, and magnets 50 attach to the garment itself, the backing of which is FIG. 5 80, a small metal or magnetic piece of material. Said detachable interchangeable clothing decorative accessory 10 can be made of unlimited kinds and types of materials and/or substrates, including but not limited to metal fabric, metal mesh, fabric, lace, beads, trims, chain, etc.

Referring to FIG. 3, garment T is shown having individual detachable interchangeable decorative accessories 60.

Referring to FIG. 4A-B front and back sides 60 of individual detachable interchangeable decorative accessory 60 is shown. Said detachable interchangeable clothing decorative accessory 60 can be made of unlimited kinds and types of materials and/or substrates, including but not limited to metal fabric, metal mesh, fabric, lace, beads, trims, chain, etc.

In FIG. 4B the back side or inside surface of the individual detachable interchangeable decorative accessory 60 is shown. There's a small magnet 70 attached to the individual detachable interchangeable decorative accessory 60.

Referring to FIG. 5, the backing 80 to the individual detachable interchangeable decorative accessory 60 is shown; it consists of a small piece of metal or magnetic material.

Referring to FIG. 6, decorative shoulder pieces 90 are another embodiment of the decorative accessory, which can be attached by unlimited methods, including but not limited to magnets, as 60.
