Zippered Pant
A side zippered pant that zippers up to the waistband on the outside legs of the pant to provide easily removable pants. The top of the zipper with the pull is placed at the bottom of the ankle when fully zippered. The bottom of the zipper is just under the waistband so that the zipper is unzipped upwardly toward the hip.
This invention cross references two provisional patents. Provisional patent #61/948933, filing date 03/06/2014, attorney docket no. dhstadtmauer1973, inventor, Daniella H. Stadtmauer. Also, provisional patent #61/977505, filing date Apr. 9, 2014, attorney docket no. dhstadtmauer1973, inventor, Daniella H. Stadtmauer.
The invention is a side zippered pant system whereby the bottoms of the zippers which comprise the stoppers are placed just under the waistband of the pants on either side of the outer legs. The zippers are sewn into the outer legs' seams and end at the end of the pants where the zipper pulls stay.
The zipper pulls can be pulled up the leg from the ankle area all the way until just under the waistband of the pants. This allows for a person to easily put on or take off the pants by opening up the entire length of the leg while dressing and easily zipping down to complete dressing. It also allows for easy removal of the pants by once again zipping up towards the waistband, keeping the leg area open, and allowing for easy removal by simply pulling down the elastic waistband over and off the legs. This can be accomplished even while wearing shoes/boots.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONThis invention endeavors to provide easy and quick access to pants and/or shorts, especially for tight fitting pants/shorts.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONAdults and children seek clothing that is easy to put on and take off for various reasons, especially tight fitting pants or undergarments like leggings or thermal underwear. Children require easily removable pants for sports purposes, a quick change for swimming or different events, or for added warmth or coolness depending on the season. Adults require easily removable pants, especially tight fitting pants or underwear for skiing, ease of use, sports, easily added warmth or coolness depending on the season.
Two non separating zippers are placed each just under the waistband of the pants on the outer legs, distinguished from pants that zip completely through the waistband. The zippers are non separating for the purpose of ease of use for children and adults. The top of the zipper with the pull is placed at the bottom of the ankle when fully zippered. The bottom of the zipper is just under the waistband so that the zipper is unzipped upwardly toward the hip.
DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTSThis is a particularly useful invention for those wearing tight fitting pants, such as ski pants, active wear pants, wetsuit bottoms, thermal underwear, bike shorts, tight fitting jeans and leggings. These pants may be made of stretchy fabrics such as spandex and nylon that are generally difficult to pull on without the use of a zipper opening the area of the leg to create ease of use. With the zippers open, the user can quickly and easily pull the pants on without the struggle that spandex or tight fitting clothing can create. The user then quickly zippers down the legs of the pants and is comfortably wearing a tight fitting garment that is easy to put on.
This invention is not limited to tight fitting garments alone. A loose fitting running pant or children's wide legged pant can benefit from this invention as well by increasing the ease of putting such garments on.
