Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

This invention relates to a paintbrush edger cover and more particularly to a paintbrush edger cover, which is designed with angled tabs, which gives house painters precision control, in which angled tabs holds a cut close exact distance from trim, molding, ceilings and floors, also designed to accommodate various foam brushes and paintbrush sizes. However, this paintbrush edger cover makes edging and trimming simple and efficient without the use of masking tape, paper, and plastic. Angled paintbrush bristles and edger's have been known for many years and have been somewhat effective; however, most prior edger's of which applicant is aware are relatively expensive, time consuming, and messy. In addition the cost of masking paper, masking tape, and plastic can be rather expensive.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention overcomes the problems of prior art devices known to applicant by providing a relatively simple and inexpensive edging mechanism, which can be used with a wide variety of different size paintbrushes. This is accomplished with a edger cover with angled tabs, and a complementary cut out mounted on top, and secured to paintbrush, edger cover has two sides, open on both ends lined with a spacer to keep edger cover from coming in contact with paintbrush bristles, edger cover is angled on outward end of edger angled tabs on both inside corners on outward end of edger cover; therefore, angled end on same end of paintbrush bristles in which bristles are visible at angled end of edger cover, angled tabs angles bristles down and away from trim, molding, ceilings and floors, which keeps paint from coming into contact with trim, molding, ceilings and floors.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING FIGURES

For the purpose of illustrating the invention, there is shown in the accompanying drawings one form which is presently preferred; it being understood that the invention is not intended to be limited to the precise arrangement and instrumentalities shown.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring now to the drawings in detail, wherein like reference numerals have been used throughout the various figures to identify like elements, FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the first edger cover. 12 attached to paintbrush 1. As shown most clearly in FIG. 1 edger cover 12 is attached with Velcro strips 2 location of Velcro strips 2 shown Cleary in FIG. 1A edger cover 12 is elongated with angled tabs 4 shown most clearly in FIG. 1 angled tabs 4 are on both inside corners on angled end 14, elongated edger cover 12 is substantially equal to length and width of paintbrush bristles 15. With paintbrush bristles 15 being exposed at angled end 14 of edger cover 12. FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the second edger cover 17 shown most clearly in FIG. 2B. Edger cover 17 is designed with a raised handle 6 shown most clearly in FIG. 2. Edger cover 17 designed with angled tabs 4 also shown in FIG. 2A angled tabs 4 on the inside corners on angled end 14 of edger cover 17. Which is substantially equal to length and width of paintbrush bristles 15 which is also shown most clearly in FIG. 2. Edger cover 17 is lined with a spacer 10 shown in FIG. 2B spacer 10 keeps edger cover 17 from coming in contact with bristles 15. Edger cover 17 is mounted squarely on top of paintbrush 1 on both outside corners of paintbrush 1 with metal screws 8 and plastic washers 9 shown clearly in FIG. 2B which makes edger cover 17 Retractable. FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the third edger cover elongated ferrule 11 that forms around entire paintbrush bristles 15 shown in FIG. 3B also design with angled tabs 4 shown in FIG. 3A on both inside corners on angled end 14 of edger cover elongated ferrule 11 which is substantially equal to length and width of paintbrush bristles 15 shown in FIG. 3B in which paintbrush bristles 15 are exposed at the end of edger cover elongated ferrule 11 which is attached to paintbrush 1 with rivets 16 were location is shown clearly in FIG. 3B.
