Abstract

A hand-held novelty cheering device that enables a user to express patriotism, support and encouragement at any type of event by waving the device to-and-fro as the device can generate a rattling sound and display images in holographic relief, glow-in-the-dark, luminescent, reflective, distinctive coloration, lights, insignias, licensed characters, mascots, or any visual representation the user desires in order to generate the desired expressive effect.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The majority of individuals enjoy expressing their support for sports teams, political candidates, non-profit organizations, businesses, and/or personal interests or beliefs. Hand-held devices that communicate this interest are ideal modes of expression.

Many devices have come and gone over the years, some have become permanent mainstays, such as the pom-pom, towels, or even thunderstix to some degree. There has been no innovation. People in stadiums wave towels by the thousands. There has been nothing in recent memory beyond the vuvuzela to generate a level of hype that propels individuals to new levels of excitement.

Therefore, it is readily apparent that there is a need for something that will generate a newer, higher level of human energy, enabling a user to express themselves through a unique hand-held device that can serve as a hyped visual representation of their support, generating sound and excitement.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Briefly described, the present invention embodies the need for new and exciting innovation in the novelty promotional space by generating simplistic by hyper-elevated excitement.

According to its major aspects and broadly stated, the present invention is a hand-held novelty cheering device enabling a user to demonstrate patriotism, support and encouragement at any type of event by waving the device to-and-fro as the device can generate sound and display images.

More specifically the present invention is a hand-held device consisting of a hollow handle of a plurality of material types with ports at both ends. The hollow interior of the handle contains compressed material of a plurality of types that expands into a plurality of shapes. The bottom port opens and contains a blow-tab for blowing into and inflating the expandable material. The expandable material can take on a plurality of shapes, depending on user needs. Both the handle and the inflatable material are designed to provide a dynamic visual show and can incorporate many effects such as a rattling sound as well as displaying images in holographic relief, glow-in-the-dark, luminescent, reflective, distinctive coloration, lights, insignias, licensed characters, mascots, or any visual representation the user desires.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIG. 1 the present invention in its preferred embodiment comprises a hollow handle with closed tabs on either end containing a compressed inflatable material.

Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3 the present invention in its preferred embodiment has the tabs on both ends open and the blow tab is extended through the lower opening.

Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5 the blow tab has been used to blow air into the inflatable material, and beads may be inside or not, expanding the inflatable material inside the handle and extending the device to its full length, and the inflatable material may take on a plurality of shapes and designs.

A plurality of images in holographic relief, glow-in-the-dark, luminescent, reflective, distinctive coloration, lights, insignias, licensed characters, mascots, or any visual representation are displayed on the final fully inflated, extended device.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiments but various modifications thereof may be made. Furthermore, various changes in form and detail may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.

Claims

1. A hand-held device comprising a hollow handle with two tab ports at both ends that close and open, containing an expandable air-inflated material such as a balloon which is compressed inside the hollow of the handle, and may contain sound making material such as beads.

2. The hand-held device in claim 1 contains a blow tab at one end of the handle whereby the user can blow into the device to inflate the compressed inflatable material inside, which will expand quickly in a rapid burst out the opposite end of the device fully inflating and extending.

3. The hand-held device in claim 2 may display a variety of images, licensed logos, branding and other media on the handle.

5. The hand held device in claim 2 may contain sound making material such as beads that are injected into the inflatable material upon expansion, thereby rattling and making sound when fully inflated and waved to-and-fro.
