Jewelry Box Mechanism

Abstract

The jewelry box mechanism is a unique method of displaying a piece of jewelry inside a jewelry box by raising the piece of jewelry from a platform at the bottom of the jewelry box and as the lid is raised it lifts the platform which is raised at the same time lifting the platform to the top of its motion cycle to the top of the box making a more dramatic presentation of the jewelry piece.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention

The jewelry box mechanism is a new and unique method of displaying jewelry inside of a jewelry box.

The art described in the drawings of the design and utility function illustrate the unique ability of the jewelry box mechanism invention to display a piece of jewelry and we have found no prior art opposing this invention.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The jewelry box mechanism is a unique device or mechanism that displays a piece of jewelry inside of a jewelry box by lifting the piece of jewelry inside the box while the lid of the box is being lifted and the jewelry lifts at the same time providing a more dramatic presentation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The jewelry box mechanism is a device that makes a special moment that much more special with a unique presentation. Any jewelry box of any size or shape can be used with this device. The device has a connector that is secured to the lid of the jewelry box that has an armature with a cutout acting as a delay connected with a screw with the armature at an angle to allow the armature to slide through the notch out in the main body of the platform. The main body of the platform has four leg supports that hold the platform main body slightly above the bottom of the jewelry box to allow the room for the armature cutout delay. When the lid of the jewelry box is lifted to open the lid the connector moves the armature upward with armature cutout that causes a slight pause and then connects with the notch out and the platform connector pin in the platform main body to begin to raise the platform with the jewelry piece on the platform as the lid is raised. When the lid is in a fully open position the armature piece holds the platform at its highest position level to the top of the bottom portion of the jewelry box. There is a notch out on the male slider portion with a notch out on the female portion a swell. When the male portion is at the top of the slider the female slider notch out stops the male portion from going any further upward. When the lid is pressed downward the armature cutout makes contact with the platform notch connector pin and pushes the platform downward. Any piece of jewelry such as a ring, ear rings, bracelet, watch, medal, or any other type of jewelry piece can be displayed on the platform with many different attachments to hold the jewelry piece in place. The motion of the jewelry piece being raised as the lid is being opened makes for a very dramatic presentation for the person seeing it for the first time.

Claims

1. A jewelry box mechanism with parts comprising of:

a lid connector that connects to the armature;

a lid hinge connecting the lid to the main body of the jewelry box;

a jewelry platform female portion slider with a notch out at the top of the slider;

a jewelry platform with supports that hold the platform above the bottom of the jewelry box to allow room for the armature cutout piece;

a jewelry platform main body;

an armature with the armature screw with the armature and lid connector support with the attachment screws that hold the lid connector in place to the lid portion;

a male portion of the jewelry platform that fits into the female platform slider with the notch out for the armature and a notch out for the female slider piece.

2. A jewelry box mechanism with a functionality comprising of:

a jewelry box lid with an attached lid connector that is connected to an armature and cutout delay with an angle connected to a platform connector pin that is raised simultaneously as the lid is opened and lifted upward;

a cutout in the armature that is about ⅓ the length of the armature that acts as a delay when the lid is raised and raises the platform to display a jewelry piece;

a platform with a male portion that fits into a female portion slider connected to the platform main body that allows the platform to move upward and down ward with the movement of the lid portion being lifted upward or downward and a notch out in the female portion that stops the male slider from moving upward keeping it level with the top of the jewelry box.
