Interchangeable Straps Slippers/Flip-flop

-

A Triangular metal base, sandwiched between the foot-bed and bottom sole on slippers/flip-flop, would allow an user to interchange the ‘straps’ matching their outfit, for style or taste. There would be only one foot base which could be worn with interchangeable ‘straps’. This is almost like having 2 or more pair of slippers/flip-flop for a lesser price. In addition there would be full or partial elastic band strap that would go around the upper ankle with clasps which would be attached to the Straps to give a grip to the foot by holding the foot tight to the slippers/flip-flops. As an inventor, I would manufacture this as 4 parts, triangular metal base with clasp eye, multilayered foot base, straps with claps, elastic ankle band with clasps.

Description

Triangular Metal base with clasp-eye for slippers and flip-flops. This product contains 4 parts which are Part 1. Triangular metal base with clasp-eye, Part 2. Slipper/flip-flop sole, Part 3. Removable Straps and Part 4. Removable elastic ankle band.

Part 1. Triangular metal base with protruding metal clasp-eye. There would be 3 clasp-eyes on the Triangular metal base, i.e. one on each corner. This triangular metal would be embedded in the middle layer of a slipper/flip-flop in such a way that it would not be seen from outside.

Part 2. Slipper/flip-flop foot-bed and sole. The multi-layer slipper/flip-flop has the Triangular metal base sandwiched between foot-bed(top-layer where foot rests) and bottom sole(last-layer that touches the ground). The foot-bed has 3 covered holes (one on the toe post and two near the heel area) through which the slipper/flip-flop straps would be hooked to the protruding metal clasp-eye which is embedded under the foot bed.

Part 3. Interchangeable Straps would be having small clasps at their ends which would be hooked to the metal clasp-eyes. This way one can interchange their straps matching to their outfit, style or taste (One slipper/Flip-flop base with Interchangeable Straps).

The Interchangeable Straps are either as a single piece with 3 hands or it could be as three different pieces that could also be clasped together and then hooked to the triangular metal clasp eyes.

Part 4. Elastic ankle band—fully or partially elastic band with metal clasps that could be attached to the Straps to give a grip to the foot by holding the foot tight to the slippers/flip-flops.

The placeholder and size of the Triangular metal base and the Clasp eye would be determined while manufacturing based on the size of the foot ware.

Metal base, soles, straps would be made with materials that are widely used in this industry. The patterns and designs of straps would vary according to the trend and imagination.

Clasps and eye used would be from the market that are readily available. The Fig. attached does not show the exact clasp design that would be used.

This product would be manufactured for all the sizes that are widely followed in the United States.

As a retail seller, I would sell this product as one foot base with more than one straps so that the buyer could interchange the strap and use it.

It could be sold as one foot base with 3 pieces straps so that the buyer can now have multiple options of the straps itself.

FIG. 1. Front view of Triangular Metal Base with Clasp Eye. The material would be determined during manufacturing and the size would vary depending on the size of the foot-ware. The drawing is not up to the scale and is basically for visualizing purpose only.

FIG. 2. Side view of Triangular Metal Base with Clasp Eye. The drawing is not up to the scale and is basically for visualizing purpose only.

FIG. 3. Showing the Triangular Metal Base that would be sandwiched between Top Foot-bed and Bottom-base. This shows the position where the Triangular Metal base would be present in the final product. The Protruding metal Clasp-eye would get embedded to the corresponding holes on the Foot-bed.

FIG. 4. Top view of Slippers/Flip-flop showing the protruded metal clasp-eye embedded on the Foot-bed.

FIG. 5. Single strap with Clasps on all its ends.

FIG. 6. 3 piece strap with Clasps and eye on its ends.

FIG. 7. Partial elastic ankle band with Clasps on its ends.

FIG. 8. Full elastic ankle band with Clasps on its ends.
