BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The invention is a packing glove designed to facilitate and expedite the packing of goods, furniture, and the like. More particularly, the packing glove allows the user to grab and separate packing paper with more ease. The packing glove allows the user to cut packing tape with ease and precision, eliminating the need for typical cumbersome tape dispenser with cutting mechanism.

2. General Background of the Invention

Professional movers typically use packing paper and tape dispensers with cutting mechanisms for packing household items and boxes. Generally, packing paper's tactile surface is very smooth with no traction for grip, causing the user to repeatedly lick their fingers to separate and pick sheets of paper. Tape dispensers with cutting mechanisms are extremely cumbersome and inefficient in their function. Professional movers must be cautious of surfaces they place the dispenser, as the cutting mechanism may cause damage.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Professional movers typically use packing paper and tape dispensers with cutting mechanisms for packing household items and boxes. The invention easily grips packing paper's smooth surface, eliminating the users need to lick their fingers to separate and pick sheets of paper. The invention eliminates the need for tape dispensers with cutting mechanisms, through it's ease of to use and efficiency. The invention allows professional movers to protect surfaces more by not having to place a tape dispenser with cutting mechanism on them, because it is wearable. The invention being wearable, means you can't put down and have to look for it later, which addresses one of the previously existing problems of other inventions.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention is a Two finger glove preferably made of pleather, leather, spandex, velcro, neoprene and an a rubber tack mechanism. The glove is constructed preferably by cutting leather, velcro, spandex, and pleather from a pattern and sewing said materials together. The invention stays on the hand by utilizing a velcro closure, please refer to drawing FIGS. 3, 9, and 10. The Tack mechanism is approximately one and half inches long and approximately a quarter inch wide, please refer to drawing FIGS. 6-8. The Tack mechanism is made of textured neoprene rubber sheeting or similar material and thumbtacks, similar wire nails or brads. The textured neoprene rubber sheeting or similar material is preferably used to stabilize one or more thumbtacks, similar wire nails or brads. The tack mechanism is preferably inserted inside the glove near the side seam of the palm section just below the finger, please refer to drawing FIGS. 5 and 10. More specifically concerning the placement of the tack mechanism, FIGS. 1-4 show the points of the thumbtacks protruding to the outside of the glove, adjacent the palm and distal from the thumb. The tack mechanism is preferably used to cut various types of packing tape, which are used in the moving industry and/or used around the home.

The invention also includes means for working with packing paper, rather than having to lick a finger every time to gather paper for packing or wrapping. The means preferably further comprises a neoprene, rubber or similar material portion of the thumb allowing for easier handling of packing or wrapping of paper, please refer to the thumb portion of FIG. 2.

All measurements disclosed herein are at standard temperature and pressure, at sea level on Earth, unless indicated otherwise. All materials used or intended to be used in a human being are biocompatible, unless indicated otherwise.
