Abstract

A jigsaw puzzle includes a plurality of first pieces, each having a coupling part, and a plurality of second pieces, each having a second coupling part. Each of the first pieces and second pieces is coupled with the corresponding first piece or second piece via the first coupling part and the second coupling part to form a first predetermined shape, and each of the second pieces is further coupled with the corresponding second piece via the second coupling part to form a second predetermined shape.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to jigsaw puzzles that can be assembled into at least two pictures.

2. Description of Related Art

A jigsaw puzzle is a common puzzle mind game, which is suitable for people from a wide range of age. It heavily depends on the skills of assemble and dissemble from disordered pieces and thus trains the ability to independently think about the color, position, orientation of the puzzle pieces and thereby assisting training in logic as well as attention training and persistent training.

However, a conventional jigsaw puzzle can only be assembled into one complete picture, which could be dull, and once the jigsaw puzzle is completed, there is less motivation for the user to do it again.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The objective of the present invention is to provide a jigsaw puzzle formed by a plurality of first pieces, each having a first coupling part, and a plurality of second pieces, each having a second coupling part, wherein each of the first pieces and second pieces is independently coupled to the corresponding first piece and the corresponding second piece via the first coupling part and the second coupling part thereof, to form a first predetermined shape, and each of the second pieces can be also assembled with the second piece to form a second predetermined shape, so as to increase the difficulty and playfulness of the jigsaw puzzle.

The main objective of the jigsaw puzzle is to prove at least two types of playing modes for playing the jigsaw puzzle, thereby increasing the difficulty and playfulness of the jigsaw puzzle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring both FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, a jigsaw puzzle 1 according to the present invention comprises a plurality of first pieces 11 and a plurality of second pieces 12. Each of the first pieces 11 has a first coupling part 111. Each of the second pieces 12 has a second coupling part 121. Each of the first pieces 11 and the second pieces 12 is coupled to each of the first coupling part 111 and the second coupling part 121 and thus coupled with the corresponding first piece 11 or second piece 12 (as shown in FIG. 3), to form a first predetermined shape 13. In an embodiment, the first predetermined shape 13 is in geometrical shape, human shape, animal shape or plant shape.

In the present embodiment, each of the first pieces 11 and second pieces 12 may be formed with a sub-image on a surface thereof, such that when a first piece 11 is coupled with a second piece 12 to form the first predetermined shape 13, the sub-images from the first piece 11 and the second piece 12 may be assembled into a complete picture (as shown in FIG. 1). Specifically, the sub-image on the surface of each of the first pieces 11 and second pieces 12 is a part of the complete picture. For example, in an embodiment the complete picture is, but not limited to, the painting “Crying Women” from Picasso.

Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, each of the second pieces 12 is coupled to the corresponding second piece 12 via the second coupling part 121 thereof to form a second predetermined shape 14. In other words, each of the second pieces 12 can act as an independent image from the jigsaw puzzle 1. In an embodiment, the second predetermined shape 14 is a geometrical shape, human shape, animal shape or plant shape. In the present embodiment, the shape is, but not limited to, a smiling face.

Each of the first pieces 11 and the second pieces 12 can be, but not limited to, a geometrical shape, human shape, animal shape or plant shape.

As described above, the jigsaw puzzle 1 provided by the present invention can be used as a conventional jigsaw puzzle where each of the first pieces and the second pieces are assembled to form a picture, and each of the second pieces also can also be independently assembled to form a new shape. In other words, the jigsaw puzzle has at least two modes, for increasing the complexity and variety for playing the jigsaw puzzle, thereby increasing the interest for the player to use the jigsaw puzzle respectively, such as from to change “crying woman” to “smiling women.”

It should be noted that all the embodiments as described above are not intended to limit the present invention. Various modification and variations can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

Claims

1. A jigsaw puzzle, comprising:

a plurality of first pieces, each having a first coupling part; and

a plurality of second pieces, each having a second coupling part,

wherein each of the first pieces and second pieces is coupled to the corresponding first piece or second piece via the first coupling part and the second coupling part, to form a first predetermined shape,

wherein each of the second pieces is coupled with the corresponding second piece via the second coupling part, to form a second predetermined shape.

The jigsaw puzzle of claim 1, wherein a sub-image is formed on one face of each of the first pieces and the second pieces, and when each of the first pieces is coupled with each of the second pieces to form the first predetermined shape, the sub-images formed on one surface of each of the first pieces and the second pieces are assembled together to form a complete picture.

3. The jigsaw puzzle of claim 1, wherein each of the first pieces and the second pieces is in a geometrical shape, human shape, animal shape or plant shape.

4. The jigsaw puzzle of claim 1, wherein the first predetermined shape is in a geometrical shape, human shape, animal shape or plant shape.

5. The jigsaw puzzle of claim 1, wherein the second predetermined shape is in a geometrical shape, human shape, animal shape or plant shape.
