SWING WATERSKI

A swing waterski is provided, which includes a main body and at least one fin mounted to the main body and adapted to swing. The main body includes a top wall, a bottom wall, an arc front wall connecting the top wall and the bottom wall, and two sidewalls connected to the top wall, the bottom wall and the arc front wall. A contour of the bottom wall is symmetric to a central axis of the main body and presents a convex arc shape. A boundary of the arc front wall and the top wall and boundaries of the two sidewalls and the top wall are located in a same plane. A front half part of the bottom wall has a shape similar to a partial bowl shape and is curled upward, so as to decrease a water resistance.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This application claims the priority benefit of Chinese application serial no. 201420598688.3, filed on Oct. 16, 2014. The entirety of the above-mentioned patent application is hereby incorporated by reference herein and made a part of this specification.

BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field

The invention relates to a waterski, and particularly relates to a swing waterski capable of moving forward through a swing manner.

2. Related Art

Commonly used water entertainment products include surfboards, kickboards, swimming rings, inflatable boats, etc. When a user uses the water entertainment product such as the surfboard, the kickboard or the swimming ring, the user can move forward on the water through sea wave, artificial wave or swimming. The commonly used inflatable boat is installed with a power source such as a motor, so that the user can move forward on the water by using the inflatable boat.

SUMMARY

The invention is directed to a swing waterski, which is capable of moving forward through a swing manner, so as to provide a user a simple and convenient operation method.

The invention provides a swing waterski including a main body and at least one fin. The main body includes a top wall, a bottom wall, an arc front wall connecting the top wall and the bottom wall, and two sidewalls connected to the top wall, the bottom wall and the arc front wall. A contour of the bottom wall is symmetric to a central axis of the main body and presents a convex arc shape. A boundary of the arc front wall and the top wall and boundaries of the two sidewalls and the top wall are located in a same plane. The fin is mounted to the main body and adapted to swing.

In an embodiment of the invention, the main body includes a back wall connected to the top wall, the bottom wall and the two sidewalls, and a location on the back wall and farther away from one of the two side sidewalls is farther away from the same plane where the boundaries of the two sidewalls and the top wall are located.

In an embodiment of the invention, the main body is an inflatable part, and the main body includes a plurality of drawstrings located in internal of the main body and connected to the top wall and the bottom wall.

In an embodiment of the invention, the drawstrings divide the internal of the main body into a plurality of cavities connected to each other.

In an embodiment of the invention, the swing waterski further includes at least one fixing rack fixed on the bottom wall of the main body, and each of the fixing racks includes two first portions protruding out of the bottom wall and a second portion located and connected between the two first portions, and a number of the fixing racks corresponds to a number of the fins, and each fin is disposed at the second portion of each fixing rack.

In an embodiment of the invention, the at least one fixing rack includes two fixing racks symmetrically disposed at two sides of the central axis, and in each of the fixing racks, a length of the first portion away from the central axis is larger than a length of the first portion close to the central axis.

In an embodiment of the invention, in each of the fixing racks, the two first portions are parallel to each other.

In an embodiment of the invention, the swing waterski further includes at least one antiskid sheet disposed on the top wall of the main body.

In an embodiment of the invention, the swing waterski further includes a rudder plate disposed on the bottom wall along a direction parallel to the central axis of the main body.

In an embodiment of the invention, the top wall of the main body presents a concave arc shape, and a contour of the top wall matches the contour of the bottom wall.

According to the above descriptions, in the swing waterski, the bottom wall of the main body presents a convex arc shape, and the fins are disposed on the main body and adapted to swing, such that when forces are alternately exerted to the top wall of the main body at places close to two sides of the top wall, the main body is swung to the left and right, and the fins are accordingly swung to push the swing waterski to move forward. Moreover, in the swing waterski of the invention, the boundary of the arc front wall and the top wall and the boundaries of the two sidewalls and the top wall are located in a same plane, namely, a front half part of the bottom wall of the main body has a shape similar to a partial bowl shape and is curled upward. Based on such configuration and the design of the arc front wall, a water resistance is decreased, and a moving speed of the swing waterski is increased.

In order to make the aforementioned and other features and advantages of the invention comprehensible, several exemplary embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DISCLOSED EMBODIMENTS

Presently, a user generally drives a water entertainment product to move forward through a swimming pose, or a power source is installed on the water entertainment product to gain a motive force to move forward in the water (the user is unnecessary to exert forces). The invention provides a waterski with an operation method different to that of the conventional products, which is described in detail below.

It should be noticed that descriptions related to directionality or relativity such as in, out, up, down, left, right, clockwise, anticlockwise, etc. are presented based on relative positions of the components illustrated in figures, and are not used for limiting the invention.

FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a swing waterski according to an embodiment of the invention. FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view of the swing waterski of FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of the swing waterski of FIG. 1 according to another viewing angle. Referring to FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, the swing waterski 100 of the present embodiment includes a main body 110 and at least one fin 120.

The main body 110 includes a top wall 111, a bottom wall 112, an arc front wall 113, two sidewalls 114 and a back wall 115. The arc front wall 113 and the back wall 115 are respectively connected to the top wall 111 and the bottom wall 112, and the two sidewalls 114 are connected to the top wall 111, the bottom wall 112, the arc front wall 113 and the back wall 115.

As shown in FIG. 1, a contour of the bottom wall 112 is symmetric to a central axis A of the main body 110 and presents a convex arc shape. Moreover, a boundary of the arc front wall 113 and the top wall 111 and boundaries of the two sidewalls 114 and the top wall 111 are located in a same plane. Namely, a front half part of the bottom wall 112 of the main body 110 has a shape similar to a partial bowl shape and is curled upward. Based on such configuration and the design of the arc front wall 113, a water contact area of the swing waterski 100 is decreased to decrease a water resistance, so that a moving speed of the swing waterski 100 is increased.

In the present embodiment, regarding a rear half part of the bottom wall 112 of the main body 110, only a left side and a right side thereof are curled upward, such that the boundary of the back wall 115 and the top wall 111 presents a arc shape similar to a symbol of smile, such that a location on the back wall 115 and farther away from one of the two side sidewalls 114 (i.e. a location on the back wall 115 more approaches to a center point) is farther away from the same plane where the boundaries of the two sidewalls and the top wall are located (i.e. the highest plane where the top wall 111 is located). Certainly, in other embodiments, the rear half part of the bottom wall 112 of the main body 110 can also present a shape similar to the partial bowl shape and is also curled upward, which is not limited by the invention.

In the present embodiment, the top wall 111 of the main body 110 presents a concave arc shape, and a contour of the top wall 111 matches the contour of the bottom wall 112. Namely, a front half part of the top wall 111 of the main body 110 also presents a shape similar to the partial bowl shape (a front end and a left and right side thereof are curled upward), and a left side and a right side of a real half part of the top wall 111 of the main body 110 are also curled upward. Certainly, the above example is only one of the contour patterns of the top wall 111, the concave arc shape of the top wall 111 facilitates the user to stand or sit on the top wall 111, though the invention is not limited thereto. In other embodiments that are not illustrated, the contour of the top wall 111 is not matched to the contour of the bottom wall 112, for example, the top wall 111 can be a plane, or even a convex surface protruding upward.

The fins 120 are mounted on the main body 110 and adapted to swing. In detail, the swing waterski 100 further includes at least one fixing rack 130 fixed on the bottom wall 112 of the main body 110, and the fins 120 are fixed to the main body 110 through the fixing racks 130. In the present embodiment, the number of the fins 120 is two, and the number of the fixing racks corresponding to the fins 120 is also two. The two fixing racks 130 are respectively disposed on the bottom wall 112 of the main body 110 at positions symmetric to the center axis A.

Each of the fixing racks 130 includes two first portions 132 protruding out of the bottom wall 112 and a second portion 134 located and connected between the two first portions 132, and each of the fins 120 is disposed at the second portion 134 of each fixing rack 130. In the present embodiment, the two first portions 132 of each fixing rack 130 is parallel to each other, and a length of the first portion 132 away from the central axis A is larger than a length of the first portion 132 close to the central axis A.

In detail, the fixing rack 130 presents a shape, and since the bottom wall 112 has the arc shape, and the farther a position is closed to the two sides of the bottom wall 112, the greater a curling degree thereof is, the lengths of the two first portions 132 of the fixing rack 130 are different as positions where the first portions 132 connect the bottom wall 112 are different. Base on different lengths of the two first portions 132, the fins 120 are parallel to a water surface as far as possible, and a water flow can pass through a space between the fixing rack 130 and the main body 110, so as to decrease a water resistance and increase a moving speed of the swing waterski 100. Moreover, since the fins 120 are spaced from the main body 110 by a certain distance, the fins 120 are avoided to contact the main body 110 during a process of pushing water, so as to avoid an interference between the fins 120 and the main body 110. Certainly, the type of the fixing rack 130 is not limited thereto. Moreover, in the present embodiment, a material of the fins 120 can be polyvinyl chloride (PVC), though the invention is not limited thereto.

Since the swing waterski 100 of the present embodiment has a special structure, it can be moved forward through a simple manner, so as to provide the user with an entertainment effect and exercise effect. In detail, since the bottom wall 112 of the main body 110 of the swing waterski 100 presents a convex arc shape, when the user operates the swing waterski 100 of the present embodiment, the user is only required to alternately exert forces to the top wall 111 of the main body 110 at places close to two sides of the top wall 111, for example, the left and right feet of the user alternately pedal the top wall 111 of the main body 110 at places close to the two sides of the top wall 111, or even the user kneels down or sits on the top wall 111, and as long as the user swings his body, the main body 110 can be easily swung accordingly. Now, along with swing of the main body 110, the fins 120 flip the water, and the swing waterski 100 can easily move forward.

Moreover, when the user wants to make a turn, the user can pedal down the top wall 111 at the side to be turned to. For example, when the user wants to make the swing waterski 100 to turn to the left, the user can pedal down the left side of the top wall 110 through the left foot, such that a center of gravity is shifted to the left side of the main body 110, and since the swing waterski 100 is already moving forward, by shifting the center of gravity, the swing waterski 100 is turned to the left. Now, the right foot of the user can slightly step on the right side of the top wall 111 to keep an overall balance. Through the aforementioned swing method, the user can easily operate the swing waterski 100 to move on the water without moving the same through a swimming manner, or by exerting a force thereon, or by using a peddle.

Moreover, as shown in FIG. 2, in the present embodiment, the main body 110 is an inflatable part, and the main body 110 includes a plurality of drawstrings 116 located in internal of the main body 110 and connected to the top wall 111 and the bottom wall 112. The drawstrings 116 are used for providing a supporting force between the top wall 111 and the bottom wall 112. The drawstrings 116 divide the internal of the main body 110 into a plurality of cavities C connected to each other, and the cavities C can provide the swing waterski 100 enough buoyant force.

In the present embodiment, an external portion of the main body 110 (i.e. the top wall 111, the bottom wall 112, the arc front wall 113, the two sidewalls 114 and the back wall 115) adopts high strength net clamping cloth with high hardness, and a material thereof is PVC, and the drawstrings 116 in internal of the main body 110 adopts a high strength cloth, and a material thereof can be polyester. The material of the drawstrings 116 is softer and lighter compared with the material of the external portion of the main body 110. Therefore, when the swing waterski 100 is not used, the drawstrings 116 is easy to be bended, and the external portion of the main body 110 can also be bended to compress the whole main body 110 into a smaller volume, so as to reduce a storage space and facilitate carry.

When the swing waterski 100 is to be used, the main body 110 is inflated. Since the high strength net clamping cloth adopted by the external portion of the main body 110 can bear a pressure of 8 PSI (pounds per square inch) to 10 PSI, in a general condition, the main body 110 can achieve enough hardness as long as an internal pressure of the main body 110 is between 4 PSI and 5 P PSI, so as to facilitate user's usage.

Certainly, in other embodiments, the main body 110 is not an inflatable part, but is a single kickboard, and the spirit of the invention is met as long as the main body 110 thereof has the aforementioned shape design, and along with swing of the user, the swing waterski 100 can move forward.

Referring back to FIG. 1, in order to facilitate the user stably standing on the top wall 111 of the main body 110, the swing waterski 100 further includes at least one antiskid sheet 140 disposed on the top 111 wall of the main body 110. In the present embodiment, the swing waterski 100 has two antiskid sheets 140, which are respectively located at the left side and the right side of the top wall 111 for the user's left and right feet to stand on. However, in other embodiments, a large antiskid sheet 140 can be adhered to the top wall 111 of the main body 110, and the number, location and type of the antiskid sheet 140 are not limited thereto.

Moreover, to ensure the swing waterski 100 to stably move forward, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, the swing waterski 100 further includes a rudder plate 150 disposed on the bottom wall 112 along a direction parallel to the central axis A of the main body 110, so as to achieve an orientation function.

In summary, in the swing waterski, the bottom wall of the main body presents a convex arc shape, and the fins are disposed on the main body and adapted to swing, such that when forces are alternately exerted to the top wall of the main body at places close to two sides of the top wall, the main body is swung to the left and right, an the fins are accordingly swung to push the swing waterski to move forward. Moreover, in the swing waterski of the invention, the boundary of the arc front wall and the top wall and the boundaries of the two sidewalls and the top wall are located in a same plane, namely, a front half part of the bottom wall of the main body has a shape similar to a partial bowl shape and is curled upward. Based on such configuration and the design of the arc front wall, a water resistance is decreased, and a moving speed of the swing waterski is increased. Moreover, the main body of the swing waterski of the invention can be an inflatable part, and can be compressed into a smaller volume to decrease a storage space when the swing waterski is not used. When the swing waterski is to be used, the main body is inflated, and since most of the main body adopts the PVC material with high hardness, the main body becomes rather hard after being inflated, so as to facilitate user's operation.

It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made to the structure of the invention without departing from the scope or spirit of the invention. In view of the foregoing, it is intended that the invention cover modifications and variations of this invention provided they fall within the scope of the following claims and their equivalents.

Claims

1. A swing waterski, comprising:

a main body, comprising a top wall, a bottom wall, an arc front wall connecting the top wall and the bottom wall, and two sidewalls connected to the top wall, the bottom wall and the arc front wall, wherein a contour of the bottom wall is symmetric to a central axis of the main body and presents a convex arc shape, and a boundary of the arc front wall and the top wall and boundaries of the two sidewalls and the top wall are located in a same plane; and
at least one fin, mounted to the main body and adapted to swing.

2. The swing waterski as claimed in claim 1, wherein the main body comprises a back wall connected to the top wall, the bottom wall and the two sidewalls, and a location on the back wall and farther away from one of the two side sidewalls is farther away from the same plane where the boundaries of the two sidewalls and the top wall are located.

3. The swing waterski as claimed in claim 1, wherein the main body is an inflatable part, and the main body comprises a plurality of drawstrings located in internal of the main body and connected to the top wall and the bottom wall.

4. The swing waterski as claimed in claim 3, wherein the drawstrings divide the internal of the main body into a plurality of cavities connected to each other.

5. The swing waterski as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:

at least one fixing rack, fixed on the bottom wall of the main body, wherein each of the fixing racks comprises two first portions protruding out of the bottom wall and a second portion located and connected between the two first portions, and a number of the fixing racks corresponds to a number of the at least one fin, and each fin is disposed at the second portion of each fixing rack.

The swing waterski as claimed in claim 5, wherein the at least one fixing rack comprises two fixing racks symmetrically disposed at two sides of the central axis, and in each of the fixing racks, a length of one of the two first portions away from the central axis is larger than a length another of the two first portions close to the central axis.

7. The swing waterski as claimed in claim 5, wherein in each of the fixing racks, the two first portions are parallel to each other.

8. The swing waterski as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:

at least one antiskid sheet, disposed on the top wall of the main body.

9. The swing waterski as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:

a rudder plate, disposed on the bottom wall along a direction parallel to the central axis of the main body.

10. The swing waterski as claimed in claim 1, wherein the top wall of the main body presents a concave arc shape, and a contour of the top wall matches the contour of the bottom wall.
