Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a device that separate the male genitals to promote air flow and breathability in the undergarments, and prevent sweating and pinching when moving.

2. Description of Related Art

Most people sweat while performing strenuous activities. This is especially problematic for males when their genitals sweat and stick even after just a brief period of exertion. The penis and testicles may rub, stick and pinch causing extreme discomfort. For relief, the man may repeatedly have to shift or readjust themselves until a comfortable position is attained. But, as typically occurs, the genitals return to sticking or shifting into an even more uncomfortable position thus requiring further adjustments.

Some men use powders like talc and baby powder to prevent stickiness while sweating. This may provide temporary relief, but after an extended period of time the same problems occur. Alternatively, products have been developed to address sweating within the underwear. First, U.S. Pat. No. 4,414,971 by Seun Y. Chung discloses a sanitary pants used for the male. The undergarments include a hole through which the penis is inserted. The penis is received into a pocket to separate the penis and testicles. Alternatively, U.S. Pat. No. 5,524,298 by Robert L. Plunkett discloses a male genitals garment. The garment includes an inner pocket to receive the user's genitals. This supports the genitals away from the body to prevent sweating and sticking While these products help to reduce sweating, they may still cause pain and discomfort by preventing free movement of the genitals.

Therefore it would be beneficial in the art to provide a device that prevents a male's genitals from sweating while moving. It would also be desirable in the art to provide a device also comfortably supports the penis while separating it from the testicles.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the prior art, the general purpose of the present invention is to provide a separating device coupled within an undergarment, configured to include all of the advantages of the prior art, and to overcome the drawbacks inherent therein.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a genital separating undergarment that wraps around the testicles to separate the penis from the testicles thereby preventing sweating and sticking while the user is working out or playing sports.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a genital separating device that is fastened within the undergarment with a strip of fabric to prevent complete removal of the device while still allowing free movement during use.

To achieve the above objects, in an aspect of the present invention, a genital separating undergarment is described comprising a separating device attached to a groin region of the genital separating undergarment, where the separating device includes: a sleeve positioned around a scrotum, where the sleeve extends between an upper portion and a lower portion; an upper strip positioned at the upper portion of the sleeve; and an opening between the sleeve and the upper strip, where the opening receives a penis thereby separating the penis and scrotum. The separating device is fastened to a securing strip that is attached to the sleeve, where the securing strip fastens within the undergarment through a slit.

These together with other aspects of the present invention, along with the various features of novelty that characterize the present invention, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed hereto and form a part of this present invention. For a better understanding of the present invention, its operating advantages, and the specific objects attained by its uses, reference should be made to the accompanying drawings and descriptive matter in which there are illustrated exemplary embodiments of the present invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The advantages and features of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following detailed description and claims taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein like elements are identified with like symbols, and in which:

FIG. 1 depicts a perspective view of a genital separating undergarment in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention; and

FIG. 2 depicts an enlarged view of a genital separating device in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

Like reference numerals refer to like parts throughout the description of several views of the drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The present invention relates to a device that separates the male genitals to promote air flow and breathability in the undergarments, and prevent sweating and pinching while moving. The present invention provides a genital separating undergarment with a separating device to prevent a penis from sticking to the testicles. The separating device includes a sleeve that is secured around the testicles. The penis is positioned outside of the sleeve, and inserted through an upper strip to hold the penis in place. The sleeve is then secured against an inner portion of a wearer's undergarments to gently yet securely separate the testicles from the penis. This way the body parts are separated providing greater breathability and comfort during activities.

Turning now descriptively to the drawings, referring to FIG. 1, a perspective view of a genital separating undergarment 100 is shown in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The genital separating undergarment 100 includes a separating device 110 attached within a groin region 102 of the undergarments 100. The undergarments 100 may be common underwear like boxers, briefs, boxer briefs, jockstrap, bikini briefs and the like. The separating device 110 is fastened to the undergarments 100 with a securing strap 120. The securing strap 120 is threaded through a slit 104 within the groin region 102 of the undergarment. The securing strip 120 may be adjustable to allow the user to tighten or loosen the securing strip 120 as desired while wearing the genital separating undergarment 100. The securing strip 120 may be sewn into the undergarments 100. Alternatively, the securing strip 120 may include a fastener 122 that enables detachment of the separating device 110 from the undergarment 100. The fastener 122 may be a snap, button, hook and loop fastener or the like. The securing strip 120 may be a made from nylon, cotton or elastic. The securing strip 120 enables the genital separating device 100 to move freely during wear while still providing a leash to restrict complete removal of the securing device 110 while moving.

Referring now to FIG. 2 an enlarged view of the separating device 100 is shown in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. Separating device 110 includes a sleeve 112 extending between a top portion 111 and a bottom portion 113. The sleeve 112 may be made from a cotton, nylon, elastic, polyester or blend material that is stretchy for maximum comfort and breathability. The sleeve 112 is positioned around a scrotum to gently hug the testicles while wearing the undergarments. The securing strap 120 that fastens the separating device 110 to the undergarments is attached to the bottom portion 113 of the sleeve 112.

Along the upper portion 111 of the sleeve 112 may be an upper strip 114. The upper strip 114 wraps over a penis to hold the penis in place while wearing. The penis is threaded through an opening 115 between the sleeve 112 and the upper strip 114. By placing the scrotum through the sleeve 112 and the penis through the opening 115 the user is able to separate their genitals, thereby promoting airflow and breathing within their undergarments. The sleeve 112 and the upper strip 114 may be padded to provide a comfortable feel against the user's genitals.

The sleeve 112 may include a seam 116 extending completely around the sleeve 112. The seam 116 maintains the position of a string 118 that is threaded through the sleeve 112. The string 118 emerges from a hole 117 in a side of the sleeve 112 so that the user may tie and tighten the string 118 and sleeve 112 around the scrotum and needed and desired. The string 118 may be similar to a shoe string to tie a knot near the hole 117 while wearing the separating device 110. The string 118 may be made from nylon, elastic, cotton or the like able to easily and securely tie the sleeve 112 around the scrotum. The genital separating device 100 functions as a barrier between the penis and testicles, preventing them from sticking together. This is especially useful during sweaty hot circumstances like working out, playing sports and strenuous work.

The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiment was chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.
