Putt Pointer with GPS (grooved putt sight)

The Putt Pointer putter grip with GPS (grooved putt sight) is the only putter grip in existence today as a practical aid for golfers to determine the line of the putt. Other methods employed by golfers today can be seen on television wherein the golfer “stalks” the green looking at all variables he/she deems relevant to making a putt. Golfers kneel behind the ball, some nearly lay behind the ball in a crouching fashion to see the line of the putt relative to the slope of the green. Putt Pointer used with the conventional method of “plumb bobbing” eliminates completely the need for all of the aforementioned contortions. The features of the Putt Pointer putter grip can be applied to any form of putter mold to produce the grooves for sighting the putt line.

Description

The Putt Pointer with GPS (grooved putt sight) is a practical aid to golfers for determining the line of the putt. It involves a grooved putt sight centered in the top of any style of putter grip. [Page 3; FIG. 1)] Any style of putter grip mold may be modified to produce the Putt Pointer Putter Grip with GPS. The back of the grip has a grooved line and extends down the back of the putter grip. This line helps maintain the putter shaft centered in the ball to maintain the sight line in the proper attitude. [Page 4; FIG. 2)]

The dimensions of the Putt Pointer with GPS are as follows:

Grooved Putt Sight [Page 3; FIG. 1)]

Grooved Alignment Line [Page 4; FIG. 2)]

Use of Putt Pointer with GPS: Page 5

FIG. 1) While holding the putter shaft between the thumb and forefinger, aim the sight at the center of the golf ball.

FIG. 2) Raise the putter straight up to HOLE LEVEL, not at the hole, and note the distance from the hole; this is the objective for the putt line. Note: maintain the ball in the center of the putter shaft aided by the alignment feature.

CONCLUSION

The Putt Pointer putter grip with GPS is the only kind of putter grip on the market today. Other grips offer size and feel options but none show the golfer where to line up the putt. The use of this grip will reduce the number of putts per hole for all golfers using the grip properly.

Exhibit “B” clearly headed “Replacement Sheet”, does have clarifying dimension which might be considered new matter. Replacement for previous drawings, #3 & #4 defining dimensions more clearly.

Exhibit “C” clearly headed “Replacement Sheet” provided simply to show actual picture of the putter grip with grooved putt sight and rear alignment assurance line; perhaps could be considered new matter in the strictest sense.

Claims

1. A new and unique putter grip feature that when used with the “plumb bobbing” method shows the golfer where to line up his/her putt.

2. Golfers will be able to see the line for the putt where it is not possible with conventional green reading techniques.

3. The grooved putt sight and the alignment line on the back of the putter grip can be molded into any design of putter grip.

4. The Putt Pointer putter grip with GPS (grooved putt sight) requires mold revisions to all existing and new mold designs.

5. All putter grip sizes, shapes, and colors can have the Putt Pointer grooves as part of the putter grip. The sight and the alignment line would be contrasting colors to the main grip color.
