Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Technical Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a bed frame, and more particularly to a foldable bed frame with a limit mechanism.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

A foldable bed can be accepted by consumers because it is convenient to be moved and occupies less space. The foldable bed comprises a bed frame, legs connected to the bottom of the bed frame, and support poles connected between the bed frame and the legs. The legs comprise outer legs disposed at four corners of the bed frame and middle legs disposed at other positions of the bed frame. The bed frame is supported by the legs, so the bottom of the bed frame has a large free space. For the foldable bed to be used conveniently and a pleasing appearance, a mattress and a bed sheet are provided on the foldable bed. The mattress is first placed on the bed frame, and then the bed sheet is to cover the mattress. The circumferential edge of the bed sheet extends downward to approach the ground so as to cover the free space. During use, the bed sheet slides on the mattress easily, which may cause that a portion of the bed sheet is falling toward the ground or the whole bed sheet falls down to the ground to influence the appearance of the foldable bed and to stain the bed sheet. The user has to pull the bed sheet manually and to adjust the bed sheet so as to keep the bed sheet neat and tidy.

For the bed sheet not to slide easily relative to the mattress, a bed sheet 90 is developed as shown in FIG. 10. The bed sheet 90 is substantially a rectangular covering with an opening. The circumferential edge of the opening is sewn with an elastic cord. Four corners of the covering 92 are provided with limit pieces 91. The bed sheet 90 is fitted on the mattress by extending the opening 92. The limit pieces 91 hold against the bottom of the mattress to limit the slide movement of the bed sheet 90. However, when this bed sheet is applied to the foldable bed, the bed sheet is to cooperate with the mattress. During use, the bed sheet is unable to cover the free space at the bottom of the bed frame. This influences the appearance of the foldable bed.

Accordingly, the inventor of the present invention has devoted himself based on his many years of practical experiences to solve these problems.

As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 9 and FIG. 10, the present invention discloses a foldable bed frame with a limit mechanism, and comprises a bed frame 10, legs connected to the bottom of the bed frame 10, and support poles 80 connected between the bed frame 10 and the legs. The bed frame is substantially in a rectangular shape. The legs comprise four outer legs 21 disposed at the corners of the bed frame 10 and middle legs 22 between the adjacent outer legs 22. These configurations have been instructed in the prior art, and won't be described in detail.

The present invention further comprises a limit mechanism. The limit mechanism is used to limit movement of a bed sheet 90. The limit mechanism comprises a locking member 30 connected to one of the legs and a limit member 40 adapted to limit movement of the bed sheet 90. The limit member 40 is connected to the locking member 30. Specifically, the locking member 30 comprises a first holding plate 31, a second holding plate 32, and a connecting plate 33. The first holding plate 31, the second holding plate 32, and the connecting plate 33 are integrally formed and made of an iron plate. The first holding plate 31 and the second holding plate 32 are parallel and disposed at two sides of the connecting plate 33. A passage is defined between the first holding plate 31 and the second holding plate 32 for the corresponding outer leg 21 to pass therethrough. The locking member 30 further comprises an adjustment bolt 36 to adjust the distance between the first holding plate 31 and the second holding plate 32. The adjustment bolt 36 penetrates through the first holding plate 31 and the second holding plate 32. The adjustment bolt 36 cooperates with a wing nut 361. By turning the wing nut 361, one end of the first holding plate 31, opposite the connecting plate 33, and one end of the second holding plate 32, opposite the connecting plate 33, can be adjusted to approach each other. After the adjustment bolt 36 is installed, an accommodation space is surrounded by the first holding plate 31, the connecting plate 33, the second holding plate 32, and the adjustment bolt 36. The corresponding outer leg 21 passes through the accommodation space. Through the wing nut 361, the relative position of the first holding plate 31 and the second holding plate 32 can be adjusted, such that the first holding plate 31, the second holding plate 32, and the connecting plate 33 jointly clamp the outer leg 21 tightly to ensure that the locking member 30 is fixed on the outer leg 21 steady. When the wing nut 361 is unscrewed, the locking member is movable upward and downward along the outer leg 21 to adjust the position of the locking member 30 on the outer leg 21 in the upright direction for a different bed sheet 90 so as to cover the bottom of the bed frame 10. In the above-mentioned embodiment, the limit member 40 is a curved pipe. The curved pipe has a first straight pipe portion 41, a second straight pipe portion 42, and a curved pipe portion 43 connected between the first straight pipe portion 41 and the second straight pipe portion 42. The outer side of the second holding plate 32 is formed with a groove by pressing, so that the inner side of the second holding plate 32 is formed with the second rib 35 corresponding in position to the groove. The first rib 34 and the second rib 35 are integrally formed with the locking member 30. The first rib 34 and the second rib 35 are disposed between the adjustment bolt 36 and the connecting board 33. The first holding plate 31, the second holding plate 32, the first rib 34, the second rib 35, and the connecting board 33 jointly hold the outer leg 21 so that the locking member 30 is fixed on the outer leg 21 steady.

Furthermore, the present invention further comprises a medium member 60. The medium member 60 is fixed on the second straight pipe portion 42 through a bolt. The medium member 60 is formed with an installation hole 61. The medium member 60 functions as a bedside accessory. The installation hole 61 is adapted to install a backrest (not shown in the drawings). The backrest is locked to the installation hole 61 through a bolt for the foldable bed to be used conveniently. When the foldable bed is provided with the backrest, for the bed sheet 90 and the backrest not to interfere with other, the bed sheet 90 is configured as shown in FIG. 11. Based on the existing bed sheet 90, one side of the bed sheet 90, close to the backrest, is cut to form an opening 93. Limit pieces 91 disposed at the opening 93 are arranged at a right angle. When in use, the limit pieces 92 are adapted to hook the medium member 60 and the limit member 40 to limit movement of the bed sheet 90. The opening 93 is covered by the backrest, so the appearance of the entire foldable bed won't be influenced.

In order to keep the bed sheet 90 neat and tidy, all the four outer legs of the present invention are provided with limit mechanisms, respectively. Through four limit mechanisms, the bed sheet 90 can be extended fully. For the bed sheet 90 to be propped flat, the present invention further comprises a guide member 70 disposed on the middle leg 22. The guide member 70 comprises a fixing member 71 connected to the middle leg 22 and a support pipe 72 connected to the fixing member 71. The support pipe 72 is disposed in the upright direction. The outer side of the support pipe 72 and the outer side of the first straight pipe portion 41 are located at the same upright plane. After the bed sheet 90 covers the foldable bed, the portion of the bed sheet 90, located under the bed frame 10, can be propped flat to keep the appearance of the entire foldable bed.

Referring to FIG. 7 to FIG. 9, for the structure of the present invention to be easier and convenient for use, the structure of the support pole 80 is further improved. Specifically, the support leg is provided with a reinforcement transverse pole. The reinforcement transverse pole is connected between the support legs to enhance the stability of the support legs. The reinforcement transverse pole is provided with a fixing plate 81. The fixing plate 81 is formed with a notch 82. One end of the support pole 80 is hinged to the bottom of the bed frame 10. Another end of the support pole 80 is connected to the notch 82 through a bolt assembly 83. The bolt assembly 83 comprises a bolt and a wing nut. The bolt is screwed to the support pole 80. The wing nut cooperates with the bolt. When it is necessary to fix the support pole 80 on the fixing plate 81, the bolt screwed on the support pole 80 is moved to the notch 82. The fixing plate 81 is locked between the support pole 80 and the wing nut through the wing nut. When the user wants to fold the foldable bed, the wing nut is unscrewed, the support pole 80 and the bolt are moved away from the notch 82 and the support pole 80 is moved to lean against the bottom of the bed frame 10. After that, the bed frame 10 is folded. By this structure of the support pole, the support pole can be fixed and folded conveniently.

Although particular embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
