Retracted Collar, Form Fitting, Protective Undershirt
The present invention possesses new, useful, and unique characteristics, including a retracted and deep cut collar, extra short and form fitting sleeves, and form fitting material, which allow it to be completely hidden under nearly any top worn over it. Therefore, the wearer of the present invention is able to enjoy the benefits of wearing an undergarment while at the same time concealing the fact that one is being worn at all.
The present invention is in the field of apparel. More particularly, the present invention is in the field of undergarments. Even more particularly, the present invention is in the field of undershirts.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONUntil now, those concerned with sweat and perspiration protection had to choose between wearing an undershirt—and dealing with the unstylish look which often occurs when the undershirt is visible underneath the collar and/or sleeves of the shirt worn over it—or not wearing an undershirt—and lacking the sweat and stain protection which an undershirt provides.
The present invention seeks to provide a solution to this problem by allowing those whom wish to wear an undershirt, the ability to wear one, without an outside observer knowing it is being worn at all. The present invention's unique cut and characteristics function to hide it underneath nearly any top worn over it. Thus, the person wearing it receives the benefits of wearing a protective undergarment while giving off the appearance that no undergarment is being worn at all.
The present invention possesses and/or is comprised of the following:
1) Retracted and Deep Cut Collar: allows the present invention to be hidden underneath the collar of nearly any shirt worn over it.
2) Extra Short, Form Fitting Sleeves—allows the present invention to be hidden underneath the sleeves of nearly any shirt worn over it.
3) Synthetic Fiber (such as Elastane), Cotton, or Polyester Material—form fitting and light material allows for a snug, sleek, undetectable appearance.
Referring now to the invention in more detail, as can be seen in
In addition, the collar of the present invention is cut deeper and wider in the front than a crew neck or standard v-neck collar. In one embodiment, the deep and wide cut in the front is u-shaped or v-shaped and ends within approximately 2 inches of the inferior portion of the wearer's sternum/xyphoid process (10). In another embodiment, the deep and wide cut in the front is u-shaped or v-shaped and ends within 8 inches of the inferior portion of the wearer's sternum/xyphoid process. Again, the purpose of this deeper and wider collar in the front is to allow the present invention to be hidden underneath standard collars worn over it. As shown in
Also, as can be seen in
Also, due to the material of the present invention, it is more form fitting than a standard undershirt. This form fitting material is less likely to bunch which provides a sleek, fitted look. As a result, the present invention can be successfully hidden underneath nearly any shirt worn over it. In one embodiment of the present invention, the material used is a synthetic fiber (such as Elastane). In another embodiment the material used is polyester. In another embodiment the material used is cotton. In another embodiment, the material is any combination of the above listed materials, or any material (or combination thereof) which would serve the purposes of the present invention.
One could imagine that other embodiments exist which would serve the purpose of the present invention—to be hidden underneath tops worn over it, while also providing sweat and other protection to the wearer. As such, this patent application is intended to cover all reasonable embodiments which are not specifically laid out.
