The disclosure relates to storage devices and more particularly pertains to a new storage device for retaining a contact lens case on a contact lens solution bottle.
SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSUREAn embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a container has a top end, a bottom end and a peripheral wall extending therebetween. The top end is open and the container is substantially hollow. The container may contain a fluid. The peripheral wall has a groove therein. A dispenser is removably coupled to the top end. A lens case is provided that is removably positioned within the groove.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The peripheral wall 18 has a groove 30 extending inwardly toward a center 32 of the container 12 and the groove 30 extends downwardly between a lower threshold 33 of the tapered portion 24 and the lower portion 22. The groove 30 has a central bounding surface 34 and a pair of lateral bounding surfaces 36 each extending between the outer surface 20 of the peripheral wall 18 and the central bounding surface 34. The lateral bounding surfaces 36 are spaced from each other and a junction between the outer surface 20 and each of the lateral bounding surfaces 36 extends inwardly from each of the lateral bounding surfaces 36 to define a pair of lips 38. A plurality of grips 40 is coupled to the central bounding surface 34 and the grips 40 are spaced apart from each other and distributed along the groove 30.
A dispenser 42 is removably coupled to the top end 14 and the dispenser 42 includes a cap 44 that has a top wall 46 and a peripheral wall 48 coupled to and extending downwardly therefrom. The peripheral wall 48 threadably engages the upper portion 26 of the container 12. A nozzle 50 is coupled to and extends upwardly from the top wall 46 and the nozzle 50 has a distal end 52 with respect to the top wall 46. The nozzle 50 tapers inwardly between the top wall 46 and the distal end 52. The distal end 52 is open such that the nozzle 50 is in fluid communication with an interior of the container 12. The nozzle 50 selectively dispenses the fluid 28. A lid 54 is removably positionable on the nozzle 50 to close the distal end 52. A strap 56 is coupled between the lid 54 and the cap 44 and the strap 56 retains the lid 54 on the cap 44 when the lid 54 is removed from the nozzle 50.
A lens case 58 is provided that has a first side 60, a second side 62 and a perimeter side 64 extending therebetween. The lens case 58 is removably positioned within the groove 30 such that the first side 60 abuts the grips 40 and the perimeter side 64 abuts each of the lateral bounding surfaces 36 of the groove 30. The lips 38 frictionally engage the lens case 58 thereby retaining the lens case 58 within the groove 30. The lens case 58 may be a contact lens case of any conventional design.
In use, the lens case 58 is positioned within the groove 30 after the lens case 58 has been utilized in the convention of storing corrective contact lenses. The fluid 28 contained within the container 12 is utilized in the convention of utilizing and maintaining the corrective contact lenses. The lens case 58 is positioned within the groove 30 to prevent the lens case 58 from becoming lost or otherwise separated from the container 12.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
