Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a cup, and more particularly to a cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effect that can allows the users to hold the cup stably and can prevent the users getting scalded by hot drinks contained in the cup.

2. Description of Related Art

With reference to FIG. 5, a conventional paper cup has a body 90, and the body 90 has a surrounding wall 91, a bottom portion 92, and a rim portion 93. The surrounding wall 91 is folded and bonded to form a cylindrical shape, and has a bottom edge and a top edge. The bottom portion 92 is connected to the bottom edge of the surrounding wall 91. The rim portion 93 is connected to the top edge of the surrounding wall 91 and is rolled into a tube shape, and this can increase the structural strength of the body 90. Additionally, to prevent the body 90 from getting damp and damaged, a water-proof membrane is coated on an external surface and an internal surface of the surrounding wall 91. The water-proof membrane is also coated on an external surface and an internal surface of the bottom portion 92.

However, the body 90 of the conventional paper cup has the following drawbacks in use.

1. The external surface of the surrounding wall 91 is flat and slippery, so the surrounding wall 91 does not have an anti-slipping effect. The body 90 may get damp and drop off from a hand of a user when the cup 90 contains drinks, especially cold drinks.

2. The surrounding wall 91 is a single-layered structure, so the structural strength of the body 90 is insufficient, and the shape of the body 90 may deform easily. In addition, when the body contains hot drinks (over 50° C.), the hot drinks in the body 90 may burn the users since the body 90 has poor heat insulation effect.

3. The external surface of the surrounding wall 91 is flat, the surrounding wall 91 can only be flat printed, and this makes the appearance of the printing effect monotonous and lack variations.

To overcome the shortcomings of the conventional cup, the present invention provides a cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects which can allow the users to hold the cup stably and prevent the users from getting scalded by hot drinks contained in the cup.

The cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects has a body and a surrounding slice. The body has a surrounding wall. The surrounding slice is mounted around the surrounding wall and has an external surface and multiple protrusions. The multiple protrusions are formed on the external surface of the surrounding slice. The multiple protrusions are staggeredly disposed into regular grids. Multiple intervals are formed between the surrounding slice and the surrounding wall, and each interval is hollow. The multiple protrusions can increase the anti-slipping effect, such that the users may hold the surrounding slice stably. The cup has a good heat insulation effect because the multiple intervals are formed between the surrounding slice and the surrounding wall. Therefore, when the cup contains hot drinks, the users can hold the cup safely, and would not get burned.

Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawing.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3A, a cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects in accordance with the present invention comprises a body 10 and a surrounding slice 20.

The body 10 has a surrounding wall 11, a bottom portion 12, and a rim portion 13. The surrounding wall 11 is folded and bonded into a cylindrical shape, has an external surface, a bottom edge and a top edge. The bottom portion 12 is connected to the bottom edge of the surrounding wall 11. The rim portion 13 is connected to the top edge of the surrounding wall 11 and is rolled as tube-shaped, and this can increase the structural strength of the body 10. The structural design of the body 10 is the same as the body 90 of the convention paper cup. The body 10 may be made of paper, plastic or other materials.

With reference to FIGS. 3A, 3B, and 4, the surrounding slice 20 is mounted around the external surface of the surrounding wall 11, corresponds in shape and size to the surrounding wall 11, and is fan-shaped when extended. The surrounding slice 20 has an external surface, an internal surface, two side edges, two connecting edges 21, multiple protrusions 22, multiple recesses 23, and a fundamental face 24. The two connecting edges 21 are formed on the two side edges respectively, and the two connecting edges 21 may overlap and stick to each other.

The multiple protrusions 22 are entirely formed on the external surface of the surrounding slice 20 without forming on the two connecting edges 21. The multiple protrusions 22 are staggeredly disposed into regular grids by compressing molding or stamping. With reference to FIGS. 3A and 3B, the recesses 23 are formed in the internal surface of the surrounding slice 20 and correspond in position to the protrusions 22. The recesses 23 are hollow. The fundamental face 24 is mounted around and is bonded to the external surface of the surrounding wall 11. The multiple protrusions 22 axially protrude outwardly from the fundamental face 24. With reference to FIGS. 3A and 3B, multiple intervals 25 are formed between the internal surface of the surrounding slice 20 and the external surface of the surrounding wall 11, and each interval 25 is hollow. Preferably, each one of the protrusions 22 is shaped as an elongated rectangle.

With reference to FIGS. 3A, 3B, and 4, as the surrounding slice 20 is mounted around the external surface of the surrounding wall 11, the structural strength of the cup can be enhanced. The protrusions 22 are staggeredly disposed into regular grids. Therefore, the protrusions 22 can increase the anti-slipping effect of the cup, such that the users may hold the surrounding slice 20 stably. The cup would not get damp and slippery, so the cup would not drop off from a hand of a user easily. The cup has a good heat insulation effect because the hollow intervals 25 are formed between the surrounding slice 20 and the surrounding wall 11. Therefore, when the cup contains hot drinks (over 50° C.), the users can hold the cup safely, and would not get burned, such that the practical effectiveness of the cup can be enhanced significantly.

The cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects of the present invention has the following advantages.

1. The protrusions 22 are disposed staggeredly into regular grids. Therefore, the protrusions 22 can increase the anti-slipping effect, such that the users can hold the surrounding slice 20 stably. The cup would not get damp and slippery, so the cup cannot drop off from a hand of a user easily.

2. The cup has a good heat insulation effect because the intervals 25 are formed between the surrounding slice 20 and the surrounding wall 11. Therefore, when the cup contains hot drinks(over 50 □), the users can hold the cup safely and would not get burned.

3. The appearance of the cup is varied because the protrusions 22 are staggeredly disposed into regular grids. In addition, the surrounding slice 20 can be printed with a variety of printing methods to meet the different needs of the users.

4. The surrounding slice 20 is mounted around the external surface of the surrounding wall 11, the structural strength of the cup can be improved, and this can prevent the cup from getting damp and deformed.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
