Abstract

A heath gadget to be used in conjunction with toilet bowl rims or seats. The gadget works to prevent contact of men's genitals with the toilet bow and/or the toilet seat through a sliding boards design.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention is directed to and concerns that of a new and improved health gadget to be used in conjunction with toilets.

2. Description of the Related Arts

There are several prior arts directed at preventing male genital from touching the toilet bowl and/or toilet seat when males are sitting on the toilet. These arts are generally expensive to manufacture, difficult to carry with daily life due to their size, inconvenient to dispose, easily wet during urination, or non-adjustable to meet the protective need of different gestures when men are sitting on the toilet.

These deficiencies cause those arts to be not useful in daily life, and men are left without a good, economic and portable product to protect their genitals from touching potentially infectious toilet and seat surfaces when sitting on toilets. See for example U.S. Pat. Nos. 7,007,313 B1, 4,910,815 A, 1,776,333 A, 5,960,481 A, 7,225,481 B2, 6,289,527 B1 6,708,350 B2 and 1,776,333 A.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention concerns that of a new and improved health gadget to be used in conjunction with toilets. The gadget works to prevent contact of men's genitals with either toilet bowl or toilet seat.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a health gadget used in conjunction with toilets which is extremely cheap to manufacturer so as to enable ordinary people to use it daily or enable public facilities to offer them for free, which will significantly facilitate the improvement of public health.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a health gadget used in conjunction with toilets which is small, flat and easy to carry in people's pocket or wallet.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a health gadget used in conjunction with toilets which is disposable after one use and can be easily disposed without touching contaminated areas of the gadget or the toilet.

It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a health gadget used in conjunction with toilets which is adjustable as to length, so that men can freely adjust the length of protective boards to fit for their genitals when sitting on toilets in different gestures, and avoid wetting the gadget causing discomfort when urinating before defecation.

The present invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The health gadget used in conjunction with toilets is capable of other embodiments and being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of descriptions and should not be regarded as limiting.

Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conception, upon which this disclosure is based, may readily be utilized as a basis for the designing Of other structures for carrying Out the purposes of the present invention. It is important to note that the claims should be regarded as including such equivalent constructions insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The gadget is designed to protect male genitals from touching toilet bowl and/or toilet seat. In general and as more thoroughly discussed below, it is a foldable article made of paper-like thin materials. Before use, as is shown in FIG. 2, it is folded flat for the convenience of carry and storage, and can be stacked with the same gadgets. When in use, as is shown in FIG. 1, a part of the gadget can be unfolded to fit the shape of toilet bowl rim or toilet seat, and one of the two protective boards of the gadget can slide up and down to provide extended protection against contact. After use, the gadget can be easily removed without touching its contaminated parts or the toilet.

FIG. 1 shows the preferred embodiment of the gadget mounted on the rim of a toilet when in use. The gadget is mounted on the upper surface 5 and inward surface 6 of the toilet bowl nm or toilet seat to prevent male genitals from touching the toilet bowl and seat cover 6 and 7. Toilet bowl, as seen in FIG. 1, has a continuous rim and has three surfaces, an inner surface 6, an upper surface 5, and a bottom surface 7. The gadget itself comprises two portions, a fixture portion 3 and 4 and a sliding portion 1 and 2.

The fixture portion 3 and 4 comprises an upper surface fixture part 3, and an inward surface fixture part 4. The upper surface fixture part 3 has two ends and has a flat and paper-like thin shape. The upper surface fixture part 3 is pressed against the upper surface of toilet seat or toilet rim 6 when in use. The inward surface fixture part 4 has two broad ends and has a concave shape or a flat. shape which can become concave to fit the curve of the inner surface of toilet bowl or toilet seat 8. The inward surface fixture part 4 is pressed against the inner surface of toilet seat or toilet rim 6 when in use. The inward surface fixture part 4 has approximately the same vertical with as the vertical width of the inner nm of the bowl 6, which enables it to protect male genital against touching the inner surface of the toilet seat or rim 6, and which also enables it to avoid user wetting the gadget when urinating. As is shown n FIG. 1 and FIG. 3, on the back side of the upper surface fixture part 3 is adhesive 8.

One end of the upper surface fixture part 3 and one broad end of the inward surface fixture part 4 are firmly attached by a point, and can be easily folded to an angle between them for mounting on the toilet rim or toilet seat. As is shown in FIG. 2, before use, the upper surface fixture part 3 and the inward surface fixture part 4 are folded flat, and the fixture portion as a whole 3 and 4 is needy on the same surface with the sliding portion 1 and 2 for easy carry and storage.

The sliding portion 1 and 2 comprises a neck and head part 1 and a sliding board 2. The neck and head part 1 has two ends and has a flat or concave shape. The neck 1 has a narrow and long shape and the head has a broad shape, a folding shape, or any shape that prevents the sliding portion from falling down apart from the fixture portion. The sliding board 2 has two ends and has a concave shape or flat shape which can become concave to fit the curve of inner surface of toilet rim or toilet seat 6. During use, the sliding board 2 is pressed against the inner surface of toilet rim or toilet seat 6 and is sandwiched between the inner surface of toilet seat or toilet rim 6 and the inward surface fixture part 4, but the sliding board 2 is not adhered to either. During use, the neck and head part 1 stands upright to provide users the means to control the sliding board 2, and the shape of the head 1 prevents the sliding portion 1 and 2 from falling down apart from the fixture portion 3 and 4.

One end of the sliding board 2 is firmly attached to one end of the neck and head part 1. The sliding board 2 and the neck and head part 1 are nearly on the same surface during and before use. As is discussed above, before use, the sliding portion 1 and 2 is also nearly on the same surface as the fixture portion 3 and 4 for easy carry and storage.

The neck and head part 1 slides through a small opening 9 in the inward surface fixture part 4. The neck and head part 1 touches but is not physically attached or adhered to inward surface fixture part 4. The friction between the neck and head part 1 and the small opening 9, and between sliding board 2 and the inward surface fixture part 4 will prevent an automatic sliding. The shape of the neck and head part 1 prevents the sliding portion 1 and 2 from falling down apart from the fixture portion 3 and 4. The sliding board 2 prevents the sliding portion 1 and 2 from moving upward apart from the fixture portion 3 and 4 due to its widened size. After use, user can pull the neck and head part 1 upward to detach the gadget from toilet and dispose it without touching the fixture portion 3 and 4 or the sliding board 2, which may be contaminated through contact with toilet bowl or seat during use.

The sliding board 2 stays behind the inward surface fixture part 4 initially when the sliding portion 1 and 2 is drawn to the uppermost position. The sliding board 2 is approximately equal in width with the inward surface fixture part 4. When the neck and head 1 is pushed downward by user, the sliding board 2 is exposed to the user below the inward surface fixture part 4 and provides a more complete protection for male genitals from touching the bottom part of the toilet bowl 7. This sliding design provides complete protection to male genital while avoids wetting the gadget when urinating before defecation.

Claims

1. The invention claimed is a gadget in combination with a toilet bowl or toilet seat, the bowl or seat include a continuous rim, the gadget comprising

a fixture portion (3 and 4) which is attached to the toilet bowl or toilet seat and contains a protective board (4), and

a sliding portion (1 and 2) which slides up and down through an opening (9) in said fixture portion and contain a protective board (2).

2. The invention claimed is the gadget in claim 1 further made of thin paper-like material.

3. The invention claimed is the gadget in claim 2, in which said fixture portion further comprising two flat or concave boards (3 and 4) which are connected by a point at one end of each said board.

4. The invention claimed is the gadget in claim 3, in which said fixture portion (3 and 4) is fixated to the toilet bowl or toilet seat by adhesives on the undersurface of the fixture portion (8).

5. The invention claimed is the gadget in claim 4, in which said sliding portion (1 and 2) further comprising

a flat or concave narrow long neck and folding or broad head (1), and

a broad flat or concave board (2),

wherein one broad end of said concave or flat board is connected with the narrow or non-folding end of said neck and head part.

6. The invention claimed is the gadget in claim 2, in which said sliding portion (1 and 2) further comprising

a flat or concave narrow long neck and folding or broad head (1), and

a broad flat or concave board (2),

wherein one broad end of said concave or flat board is connected with the narrow or non-folding end of said neck and head part.

7. The invention claimed is the gadget in claim 6, in which said fixture portion further comprising two flat or concave boards (3 and 4), which are connected by a point at one end of each said board.

8. The invention claimed is the gadget in claim 7, in which said fixture portion (3 and 4) is fixated to the toilet bowl or toilet seat by adhesives on the undersurface of the fixture portion (8).
