Electronic Cigarette Liquid Sampler

A sampling device for tasting different types of liquid smoke, the device comprising a central fixed member adapted to receive a heating element for vaporizing liquid smoke and a circular tray comprising a plurality of compartments loadable with different types of liquid smoke, the circular tray is rotatable around the central fixed member. The device further comprises a dipper arm pivotally mounted on the central fixed member for transferring liquid smoke from plurality of compartments to the heating element upon rotation of the circular tray and a base chamber adapted to receive vaporized liquid smoke from the central fixed member through a plurality of holes for sampling.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention generally relates to electronic cigarettes or vaporizers, and more particularly relates to a sampler device for tasting or sampling liquid smoke or e-cigarette liquid of different flavors.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Health risks associated with tobacco smoking are well documented in scientific literature, especially cigarette smoking poses a significant threat to the health of smokers and as well as to the health of people around them. Tobacco smoking is considered as one of the most addictive habit and to quit smoking, one has to face a lot of challenges. There exists numerous support programs for preparing smokers to give up the habit, programs include counselling, medications, use of nicotine patches, nicotine gums and/or smoking simulators.

Recently, various types of smoking simulators have been developed for tasting flavored liquids including vapor liquids, e-liquids, e-juice, vape juice, liquid smoke and the like, resembling that of a cigarette. Smoking simulators such as electronic cigarettes comprises portable devices in cigarette like configurations, equipped with a battery powered heating element which typically vaporizes a flavored liquid for producing vapor that resembles tobacco smoke but less harmful than tobacco smoke.

Generally, in smoking simulators, electrical energy is supplied from the power supply to the heating element (ex: atomizer) in order to heat the flavored liquid medium (ex: vape juice) which in turn generates a vapor containing flavor components. A flavor resembling that of a cigarette can be tasted by inhaling a gaseous mixture of the flavor components and air by the user via a mouthpiece.

Current electronic cigarettes generally comprise one atomizing chamber for liquid smoke, and can accommodate only one flavor of liquid smoke at a time. In order to taste or sample different flavors of liquid smoke, one has to use different electronic cigarette devices or different atomizing chambers, each comprising a different flavor of liquid smoke, which is not economically feasible and the requirement of users to have a choice of different flavors and to choose a preferred flavor of liquid smoke by trying different flavors is still unmet.

Therefore, there still exists a need for a sampler device for tasting or sampling different flavors of electronic cigarette liquids or liquid smoke.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a sampling device for tasting different types of liquid smoke. The device comprises a central fixed member adapted to receive a heating element for vaporizing liquid smoke and a circular tray comprising a plurality of compartments loadable with different types of liquid smoke, wherein the circular tray is rotatable around the central fixed member. The device further comprises a dipper arm pivotally mounted on the central fixed member for transferring liquid smoke from the plurality of compartments to the heating element upon rotation of the circular tray. A base chamber adapted to receive vaporized liquid smoke for sampling from the central fixed member through a plurality of holes.

In an embodiment, the sampling device further comprises a lid comprising on one or more air vents, the lid can be removably attached over the circular tray by a screwing movement. The base chamber further comprises a plurality of openings adapted to receive a plurality of hoses facilitating sampling of vaporized liquid smoke by multiple users.

The sampling device of the present invention allows to taste samples of different types of liquid smoke upon rotating the circular tray comprising multiple compartments loaded with samples of different types or flavors of liquid smoke. In an embodiment, the circular tray comprises smooth ridges on circumferential wall which allows sliding movement of the dipper arm into each compartment during rotation of the circular tray. The dipper arm is adapted to absorb a predefined amount of liquid smoke and transfer it towards the central fixed member for vaporizing. In an embodiment, the device comprises up to 36 compartments, which allows tasting of 36 different flavors of liquid smoke.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The following detailed description of the preferred embodiments presents a description of certain specific embodiments to assist in understanding the claims. However, the present invention is intended to cover alternatives, modifications and equivalents, which may be included within the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims. The present invention generally relates to a sampling device for tasting different types of liquid smoke or electronic cigarette liquids or vape juices.

Referring to FIG. 1A, illustrating a perspective view of the sampling device for tasting different types of liquid smoke. The sampling device 100 comprises a circular tray 120 comprising a plurality of compartments 122 loadable with different types of liquid smoke. The circular tray 120 is rotatable axially around the central fixed member 110, which is adapted to receive a heating element (not shown) for vaporizing liquid smoke. The central fixed member 110 comprises a plurality of holes 112 adapted for transferring the vaporized liquid smoke to a base chamber 140. In an embodiment, the base chamber is cylindrical in shape and covered on top with a closing member 150, above which the central fixed member 110 is mounted. The closing member 150 comprises a plurality of holes aligned with the plurality of holes 112 of the central fixed member 110.

The device 100 further comprises an elongate dipper arm 130 pivotally with one end mounted on the central fixed member 110, the other end of the dipper arm 130 comprises a wick member adapted for transferring liquid smoke from the different compartments 122 to the heating element upon rotation of the circular tray 120. The central fixed member 110 vaporizes the liquid smoke and conveys the vapors to the base chamber 140 through the plurality of holes on the central fixed member 110.

The sampling device 100 further comprises a lid 160 adapted to close the circular tray 120 from the top as shown in the FIG. 1B. The lid 160 further consists of one or more air vents allowing atmospheric air to pass into the vapor area. The base chamber 140 of the device 100 comprises a plurality of openings 142 on side walls, adapted to receive a plurality of hoses for sampling vaporized liquid smoke. In an embodiment, the plurality of hoses can be fitted with disposable drip tips for inhaling the vaporized liquid smoke by multiple users at a time.

FIG. 2 illustrates an exploded view of the sampling device 100 comprising a base chamber 140 at the bottom, covered by a closing member 150 comprising a plurality of holes aligned with the holes of the central fixed member 110. A dipper arm 130 pivotally mounted to the central fixed member 110 adapted to draw a sample of liquid smoke from different compartments during rotation of the circular tray 120. The device 100 comprises a lid 160 at the top to cover the circular tray 120 and its contents.

In an embodiment, the circular tray 120 comprises a plurality of smooth ridges on circumferential wall which allows sliding movement of the dipper arm 130 along the ridges into each compartment during rotation of the circular tray 120. The dipper arm 130 is adapted to absorb a predefined amount of liquid smoke and transfer it towards the central fixed member 110 for vaporizing. The vaporized liquid smoke is conveyed to the base chamber 140 via a plurality of holes in the central fixed member 110 and the closing member 150 for sampling from the base chamber 140.

The base chamber 140 further comprises a plurality of openings 142 adapted to receive a plurality of hoses, wherein each hose can be fitted with a disposable tip or a mouthpiece for purpose of inhaling or dripping the vapor of liquid smoke. The device 100 allows dripping or inhalation of liquid smoke of different flavors or brands by multiple users at a time.

The heating element may comprise a heating coil powered by a battery. The heating coil vaporizes the liquid smoke received from one or more compartments of the circular tray via the dipper arm. In an embodiment, the heating element comprises an atomizer, clearomizer, cartomizer, and disposable vaporizer.

The liquid smoke may comprise electronic cigarette liquid or e-liquid, e-juice, vapor liquid, vape juice, flavored liquid, and smoke fluid. In an embodiment, the dipper arm further comprises a wick member for absorbing and delivery of a predefined amount of liquid smoke from the compartments of circular tray to the heating element. The wick member may comprise cotton, fiber glass or polymeric filling material.

The sampling device of the present invention may optionally comprise a battery unit for supplying power to heating element and a control switch for switching on or switching off the heating element. The sampling device can be used in vapor liquid stores, allowing users to try out or taste different types of vape juices at peak flavors, before purchasing.

Accordingly, the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments illustrated herein, but is limited only by the following claims.

Claims

1. A sampling device for tasting different types of liquid smoke, the device comprising:

a central fixed member adapted to receive a heating element for vaporizing liquid smoke;
a circular tray comprising a plurality of compartments loadable with different types of liquid smoke, the circular tray is rotatable around the central fixed member;
a dipper arm pivotally mounted on the central fixed member for transferring liquid smoke from plurality of compartments to the heating element upon rotation of the circular tray;
a base chamber adapted to receive vaporized liquid smoke from the central fixed member through a plurality of holes for sampling.

2. The device of claim 1, wherein the liquid smoke comprises electronic cigarette liquid or e-liquid, e-juice, vapor liquid, vape juice, flavored liquid and smoke fluid.

3. The device of claim 1, wherein the heating element comprises a battery powered heating coil.

4. The device of claim 1, wherein the heating element is adapted to receive an atomizer, clearomizer, cartomizer, and disposable vaporizer.

5. The device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of compartments are loaded with liquid smoke of different flavors or brands.

6. The device of claim 1, wherein the base chamber comprises a plurality of openings adapted to receive a plurality of hoses for sampling the vaporized liquid smoke.

7. The device of claim 1, wherein the dipper arm comprises a wick type material.

8. The device of claim 1, further comprises a closing member at the top of the base chamber.
