INTERACTIVE GAMING AND DINING MACHINE WITH SOUND AND LIGHT

An interactive gaming and dining machine includes a base, a gaming member and a piece of a tableware. The gaming member is connected to the underside of the interactive gaming and dining machine, and the tableware is engaged with the flange of the base. When the parents turn it on and set the meal time, the LEDs are getting flashed. When the time is up, the LEDs are flashed together with the music which is sent via the speaker hole. The children learn to finish the meal within a certain time. The tableware is then removed from the base, the parents together with the children pick the gaming members one by one and install them to the base to proceed the interactive games. The gaming and dining machine assists the children to happily have their meals and learn to establish good habits and management of time.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Fields of the invention

The present invention relates to an interactive gaming and dining machine, and more particularly, to an interactive gaming and dining machine with sound and light.

2. Descriptions of Related Art

Children spend most of time in playing and moving, so that most parents need patience to feed younger children, and usually, it takes a lot of time to finish a meal.

Children are easily attracted by things around them during having a meal, especially for those things generate sound and light.

Generally, the parents put the food in the plate when having the meal, and wait for the children to finish the meal. However, the children do not have meals at certain time and places, or drop the food or grease on the floor. The parent therefore spend a lot of time to guide and teach the children, and the children easily lose patience, thereby bad habits are established and the children do not like meal time. Alternatively, some of the parents feed their children, and this cannot train the children to have meals by themselves and cannot learn to manage time properly. The existed tableware do not combined with timer having sound and light, and lacks of interactive gaming feature between the parents and the children.

In order to make children to finish their meals within a reasonable period of time, the applicant develops the gaming and dining machine with sound and light that provides attractive factors such as sound and light to encourage the children to finish the meal within the pre-set period of time.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to gaming and dining machine with sound and light and comprises a chassis having a base which has a peripheral wall extending upward therefrom so as to define a room enclosed by the peripheral wall. A flange extends inward from the inner periphery of the top of the peripheral wall. The flange has a first protrusion extending therefrom. A second protrusion extends inward from the inner periphery of the lower portion of the peripheral wall. A bottom cover, a switch and a speaker hole are located to the underside of the base. A circuit board is located in the room and has multiple Light Emitting Diodes. A plate is connected to the second protrusion and has holes through which the Light Emitting Diodes extend. A gaming member is connected to the plate in the room. A piece of tableware is connected to the top of the peripheral wall of the base and has an engaging member on the underside thereof. The engaging member is engaged with the flange.

Preferably, the base has multiple anti-slip members connected to edges of the underside thereof.

Preferably, the plate is made by iron, and the gaming member has a magnet which is magnetically attracted to the plate.

Preferably, a card is put on the plate and has apertures which are located corresponding to the Light Emitting Diodes. The card has a notch with which the second protrusion is engaged.

Preferably, the tableware is a transparent bowl or plate, and has supports extending from the underside thereof. The supports enclose the outer surface of the peripheral wall of the base.

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a gaming and dining machine with sound and light so as to have interactive activities between the children and the parents by using the gaming members. The gaming and dining machine with sound and light is easily detached and assembled. The gaming and dining machine with sound and light of the present invention assists the children to happily have their meals and learn to establish good habits and management of time.

FIG. 5 shows that cards of the gaming member are positioned on the plate of the interactive gaming and dining machine of the present invention and generate music sound.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the interactive gaming and dining machine of the present invention comprises a chassis 1 which comprises a base 10 having a peripheral wall extending upward therefrom. A room 100 is defined by the peripheral wall. Three flanges 101 extend inward from the inner periphery of the top of the peripheral wall, and each of the flanges 101 has a first protrusion 102 extending inward therefrom. Multiple second protrusions 103 extend inward from the inner periphery of the lower portion of the peripheral wall.

A battery, a speaker and a switch 105 are installed in the lower portion of the base 10. A bottom cover 104 is connected to the underside of the base 10 to cover up the battery. The bottom of the base 10 further has speaker holes 106 which are located corresponding to the speaker. The base 10 has multiple anti-slip members 107 connected to the underside thereof. A circuit board 11 is located in the room 100 and has multiple Light Emitting Diodes 110. A plate 12 is positioned by the second protrusions 103 and has holes 120 through which the Light Emitting Diodes 110 extend.

A gaming member 3 is connected to the plate 12 in the room 100. Preferably, the plate 12 is made by iron, the gaming member 3 has a magnet 30 which is magnetically attracted to the plate 12.

A card 2 is put on the plate 12, and the card 2 is a paper-made card and has apertures 20 which are located corresponding to the Light Emitting Diodes 110. The card 2 has multiple notches 21 with which the second protrusions 103 are engaged. The card 2 has multiple patterns or characters formed thereon. The card 2 has a lug 22 extending therefrom so that the users can hold the lug 22 to easily remove the card 2 from, and to put a new card 2 to the plate 12.

A piece of tableware 4 is connected to the top of the peripheral wall of the base 10 and has three engaging members 40 on the underside thereof. The engaging members 40 are engaged with the flanges 101. The tableware 4 is a transparent bowl or plate, and has supports 41 extending from the underside thereof. The supports 41 enclose the outer surface of the peripheral wall of the base 10.

When assembling the interactive gaming and dining machine, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the card 2 is installed to the plate 12 to align the apertures 20 with the Light Emitting Diodes 110 of the circuit board 11. The notches 21 of the card 2 are located corresponding to the second protrusions 103. The lug 22 of the card 2 contact the inner periphery of the peripheral wall of the room 100 of the base 10. The gaming member 3 is then positioned on the card 2 by the magnet 30 of the gaming member 3 attracting the plate 12. The piece of the tableware 4 is then engaged with the peripheral wall of the base 10 by engaging the engaging members 40 of the piece of the tableware 4 with the flanges 101, and the engaging members 40 are positioned by the first protrusions 102. Alternatively, the gaming member 3 is connected to the plate 12 by the magnet 30 of the gaming member 3 attracting the plate 12. The piece of the tableware 4 is then engaged with the peripheral wall of the base 10 by engaging the engaging members 40 of the piece of the tableware 4 with the flanges 101, and the engaging members 40 are positioned by the first protrusions 102. The piece of the tableware 4 is easily engaged with and removed from the base 10 so as to obtain different arrangements of the tableware 4.

When in use, as shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 4 and 5, the parents or adults put food 5 in the tableware 4, and activates the switch 105 to choose one of the following functions which are: “activating the sound and light instantly”, “shutting off the re-set feature”, and “setting a pre-set of time to activate the switch and shutting off the sound and light features”. When the function of “activating the sound and light instantly” is chosen, the Light Emitting Diodes 110 flashes along with the music which is sent from the speaker via the speaker holes 106.

When the function of “shutting off the re-set feature” is chosen, the Light Emitting Diodes 110 are de-activated and no music is sent from the speaker via the speaker holes 106. When the function of “setting a pre-set of time to activate the switch and shutting off the sound and light” features is chosen, the function means that after the pre-set period of time for the meal is set, the Light Emitting Diodes 110 flashes to remind the child to learn to finish the meal within the pre-set period of time. When the pre-set period of finishing meal time reaches, the Light Emitting Diodes 110 are activated along with the music which is sent from the speaker via the speaker holes 106. When the period of shutting off time reaches, the Light Emitting Diodes 110 are de-activated and no music is sent from the speaker via the speaker holes 106. By this way, the child learns how to finish the meal within the pre-set meal time. The parents or adults then disengage the engaging members 40 of the piece of the tableware 4 from the flanges 101, and the gaming member 3 is picked and then engaged with the card 2, or the gaming member 3 is picked and then attached to the plate 12 to proceed interactive games with the child. Therefore, the children feel interesting about having meals, and more likely, to finish the meal within the pre-set period of time. While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.

Claims

1. An interactive gaming and dining machine comprising:

a chassis having a base which has a peripheral wall extending upward therefrom, a room defined by the peripheral wall, a flange extending inward from an inner periphery of a top of the peripheral wall, the flange having a first protrusion extending therefrom, a second protrusion extending inward from the inner periphery of a lower portion of the peripheral wall, a bottom cover, a switch and a speaker hole located to an underside of the base, a circuit board located in the room and having multiple Light Emitting Diodes, a plate connected to the second protrusion and having holes through which the Light Emitting Diodes extend;
an gaming member connected to the plate in the room, and
a piece of tableware connected to the top of the peripheral wall of the base and having an engaging member on an underside thereof, the engaging member engaged with the flange.

2. The interactive gaming and dining machine as claimed in claim 1, wherein the base has multiple anti-slip members connected to edges of the underside thereof.

3. The interactive gaming and dining machine as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plate is made by iron, the gaming member has a magnet which is magnetically attracted to the plate.

4. The interactive gaming and dining machine as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a card which is a paper-made card and put on the plate, the card having apertures which are located corresponding to the Light Emitting Diodes, the card having a notch with which the second protrusion is engaged.

5. The interactive gaming and dining machine as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tableware is a transparent bowl or plate, and has supports extending from an underside thereof, the supports enclose an outer surface of the peripheral wall of the base.
