RETRACTABLE HANGER USED IN COMPARTMENTS FOR CARRYING PERSONAL EFFECTS

Abstract

Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects consists essentially of a hanger represented by a hook (1) that can be retracted related to a compartment/bag (B), optionally enclosed by an elastic mesh (2), which is positioned and fixed (3) vertically in the inner surface of the front wall (4) of travel bags (B) and the like, in which the upper fold (5) of said hook (1) enables same to be hung on doors (6) and similar structures, in addition to supports, partitions, bars, rings, clothes hangers and other hooks, whilst the bottom portion (7) thereof has at least one projection (8) for hanging clothing, towels and bags and the like, or a holder (9) for receiving bottles and toiletries and other objects for personal use.

Description

This invention refers to a new retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, notably a hanger hereinafter called hook with retractable movement built-in travel bags, for example, for packaging and carrying personal effects, consisted of an upper fold that enables same to be hung on several models of doors and similar structures, in addition to supports, partitions, bars, rings, clothes hangers and other hooks, and use the distal end of the hook for hanging items like clothes, towels and bags, or other objects such as bottles and toiletries, provided that with appropriate adaptation of said distal end.

The compartments to carry personal effects in which the hanger of this invention is used, in addition to travel bags, could be also used in general bags, handbags, and toilet cases.

For the purpose of enabling the invention, the retractable hanger is better represented when used in a travel bag like a toilet case; being made of rigid or semi-rigid materials, composed by a front wall, a rear wall and, uniting the two walls, an intermediate portion. The two walls, when in opposed positions, are closed by zipper, buttons, or Velcro, with the middle part being the bottom of the bag. When the bag is fully open, the walls tend to take the same plane, and can be provided with pockets, structures and means for storing and supporting objects to be packed and carried in the inner surface of the rear wall.

Generally bags for packaging and carrying personal effects have a hook that allows the user to hang them on supports for swimsuits, rings, bars or other hooks, thus facilitating access and handling the inner surfaces of the bag when fully open, stretched, and hung.

The current prior art anticipates some patent documents that deal with the matter of this invention, as U.S. Pat. No. 4,538,727, which is a kit of rigid material, divided into a plurality of cells of different sizes, used for carrying personal effects. A rotating central hook is used to hang a kit in the shower pipe or curtain rod.

US20070272268 refers to a bag for packaging makeup and toiletries, arranged in specific compartments. The bag has a strap with adjustable size, which in addition of being hung on a hook, also allows the user to pass it around the neck in order to facilitate the access and use of cosmetics contained therein during the makeup.

GB2348801 refers to a storage bag for toiletries, with several pockets, and two opposing walls, which may be arranged in the same plane when the bag is hung vertically by a hook mechanism attached to one end of a chain; the other end is connected to a compartment of the bag.

Thus based on previous documents found, it can be stated that, independent of the inventive concept claimed in bags and kits, all solutions use hooks or handles with unique and exclusive function of hanging the products in bars, pipes, and projections in general, without the possibility of using the structure of the hook itself for hanging user's objects, and without an optimized retractable system, being therefore different from this invention.

Aware of the current state of the art, its shortcomings and limitations, the inventor, a person attentive to practical needs, created a retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, object of this invention, containing sufficient differences to make it more practical and rational for users on trips and places outside the family environment, by incorporating a hook to a travel bag, with the upper fold of hook allowing to hang it on the upper horizontal portion of a door or similar structure, as partitions, mirrors, and the like, in addition to supports, bars, rings, clothes hangers and other hooks. In turn, when the bag is open, the bottom portion of the hook outlines a projection that also allows hanging clothes, towels, and bags, or other objects such as bottles and toiletries, provided that with appropriate adaptation of said bottom portion. The upper fold of hook is retractable relative to the bag, moving into and out the bag, which facilitates and optimizes the use and carry of bag, preventing the hook is exposed when not in use.

The retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, consists of a door hook, which is positioned in the inner surface of the front wall of a travel bag, following a vertical/centralized guidance. An opening in the central/upper end of the front wall acts as a passage to the hook body, which is attached in the inner surface of the bag, in its bottom, giving stability to the piece. Thus the bottom portion of hook remains accessible when the bag is open/hung.

The retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects comprises non-permanent connection means, which keep the upper fold built-inside the bag when closed; said means can be magnetic buttons, or push buttons, or magnets positioned in said parts, aided or not by an elastic mesh, which encloses the hook, imputing a spontaneous projecting movement, resulting in a potential power generated by the pressure of said hook to the elastic mesh. Preferably the connection means take place in the outer surface of the front wall of the bag, but may also be allocated in the inner surface, or in an inner and outer surfaces combination.

The retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, the hook, made of any rigid or semi-rigid material, can take different configurations as, for instance, a rectangular body, conforming, by one side, a “U” fold, to act as a doorframe on the upper wall of a door, in addition to the bag support, and, on the opposite side, a curved projection is provided to hang clothes, towels, and bags, or taking the shape of a sideboard for objects such as bottles and toiletries.

The retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, operationally, after the end of use, the user presses and pushes the upper fold in the inner surface of the hook to find the front wall, making act the magnetic buttons or other non-permanent connection means, which ensures that the hook remains stabilized in the bag.

The retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, in a constructive variation, instead of a central hook, may be use two hooks in the middle thirds of the bag, which can be connected by a horizontal stabilizer bar in the inner surface of the bag, connecting the bodies of the hooks, and/or in the outer surface of the bag, connecting the upper folds of the hooks; both ways can coexist and work together to facilitate the use of a plurality of hooks, allowing pulling and pushing all at once.

In short, the claimed invention has as more preponderant advantages:

• • Add value to the travel bags for carrying personal effects—practical and functional way of carrying door hangers, very useful for hanging, in addition to bag, towels, clothes, bags, purses, backpacks, and personal items, as bottles and toiletries, and the like, in any location and situation;
  • Ability to provide one or more hooks in environments that do not have the structure to hang user's objects;
  • Ability to hang objects by using the structure of the hook itself to hang the bag;
  • Ability to hang the closed bag at any door;
  • The retractable movement facilitates and optimizes the use and carry of travel bags, preventing the hook is exposed when not in use;
  • The use of elastic mesh together with the buttons facilitates and optimizes the retractable movement and gives better finishing to the product;
  • Operating mechanics is simple, practical, and with low cost of manufacturing.

The retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects consists essentially of a hanger represented by a hook (1) that can be retracted related to a compartment/bag (B), optionally enclosed by an elastic mesh (2), which is positioned and fixed (3) vertically in the inner surface of the front wall (4) of travel bags (B) and the like, in which the upper fold (5) of said hook (1) enables same to be hung on doors (6) and similar structures, in addition to supports, partitions, bars, rings, clothes hangers and other hooks, whilst the bottom portion (7) thereof has at least one projection (8) for hanging clothing, towels and bags and the like, or a holder (9) for receiving bottles and toiletries and other objects for personal use.

More particularly, as illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 5, the hanger consists of a hook (1) with retractable movement through an opening (A), whose ends of its body (10) set an upper fold (5) and at least a projection (8) and/or a bottom holder (9), being positioned in the inner surface of the front wall (4) of a travel bag (B) and the like, where the body (10) is fixed (3), thus providing the vertical alignment and stability in the settlement of the upper fold (5) on top of doors (6) and similar structures, as well as security and firmness to the bottom projection (8); said hook (1) can be used to hang clothes, towels and bags, or a holder (9) suitable for receiving bottles and toiletries. Thus, with the upper fold (5) of hook attached to the door (6), the bag open with the rear wall (11) and in the same plane of the front wall (4), the bottom portion (7) of hook (1) is apparent and ready for use. The hooks (1) can assume different configurations, as illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 10, including an optional handle (P). In order to ensure that the hook (1) remains retracted or built-in, a non-permanent connection means is provided, comprised of outer male and female magnetic buttons (12M and 12F), as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, in that, for example, the male button (12M) is positioned in the most projected vertical edge of the upper fold (5) of hook (1), while the female button (12F) takes place in the confronting portion in the outer surface of of bag's front wall (4), not necessarily in that order, however, both buttons (12M and 12F) are built-in the respective receiver portions. Following the same concept, the magnetic buttons (12M and 12F), as illustrated in FIGS. 13 and 14, can be positioned in the inner surface of the bag (1), being present in the rear middle portion of the body (10) of hook (1) and in the confronting portion in the inner surface of bag's front wall (4). In addition, as shown in FIGS. 15 and 16, the magnetic buttons (12M and 12F) can work together, in the inner and outer surfaces, covering respectively the upper portion and the middle portion of the hook (1) and bag (B). With the upper fold (5) totally exposed, the hook's body (10) is in the rest position, leaning and in parallel with the inner surface of the bag's front wall (4). In this version, in addition to maintaining the upper fold (5) of hook (1) built-in by the action of the outer buttons, it also ensures greater stability to the hook's body, when in rest, by the action of the inner magnetic buttons. Alternatively, inner and/or outer push-buttons, Velcros and imams (not represented) can be used as means of enabling the non-permanent connection, assisted, or not, by the elastic mesh (2). In this embodiment, as illustrated in FIGS. 17 to 20, the body (10) It is enclosed by an elastic mesh (2) properly fixed to the inner wall of the front wall (4), with the objective of promoting a spring effect in favor of the spontaneous advancement of the hook (1), when disconnecting the outer buttons, in order to let the upper fold (5) exposed, appropriate position for placing the hook (1) on the door (6), whether with the bag (B) open or closed. The elastic mesh (2) contains an opening (13) below in relation to the inner surface of the bag's front wall (4), what allows to view, access, and use the projection from the bottom of the hook, and can be used both with outer magnetic buttons (12M and 12F), and in combination with inner and outer magnetic buttons, or other non-permanent connection means. In a constructive variation, as shown in FIGS. 21 and 22, instead of a central hook, two hooks (1) can be used in the middle thirds of the bag (B), or a plurality of hooks, following the same logic, which can be connected by means of a horizontal stabilizer bar (14). Finally, as illustrated in FIG. 23, the hook can receive a rotative fastener (15), alternative to external buttons; said rotative fastener (15) consists of a rotative piece built-in the outer surface of the bag's front wall, with a slot in the vertical edge of the upper fold (5) of the hook (1), arranged aligned to said rotative piece and equivalent in size and shape.

Claims

1. Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, wherein said retractable hanger consists of a hook (1) through an opening (A) with retractable movement in a travel bag (B) and the like; an upper bend (5) is used to hang said hook (1) on a door (6)/related structures, in addition to supports, partitions, bars, rings, clothes hangers, other hooks and similar suspended structures; the lower portion (7) has a projection (8) for hanging clothes, bags, towels, and other personal effects; there is also a holder (9) to receive bottles, hygiene products and other objects for personal use; with non-definitive connection means, like magnetic buttons (12M and 12F).

2. Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, according to claim 1, wherein said hook (1) takes a vertical place in the inner portion of the front face of bag (B) in which is fixed (3), with the upper bend (5) of hook (1) attached to the door (6), the bag (B) open with the front face (11) extended and in the same plane of front face (4), leaving the bottom portion (7 or 9) ready for use.

Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, according to claim 1, wherein said hook (1) takes the configuration of the upper bend (5), with an angle of 90°, including optional handle (P), with an angle of less than 90°; curvilinear upper and/or bottom bends; a plurality of superimposed bottom bends; or a plurality of juxtaposed bottom bends.

Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, according to claim 1, wherein male and female magnetic buttons (12M and 12F) are positioned in the most projected vertical edge of the upper bend (5) of hook (1) and in the confronting portion of outer portion of bag's front face (4).

Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, according to claim 1, wherein said male and female magnetic buttons (12M and 12F) are positioned internally in the rear middle portion of the body (10) of hook (1) and in the confronting portion of inner portion of bag's front face (4).

6. Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, according to claim 1, wherein said male and female magnetic buttons (12 M and 12F) work together, internally and externally.

7. Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, according to claims 1, 4, 5 and 6 claim 1, wherein said retractable hanger uses other fastening means, as Velcro, adhesives, pressure buttons, and magnets.

Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, according to claim 1, wherein said retractable hanger uses two hooks (1) in the middle thirds of the bag (B), connected by a horizontal stabilizer bar (14); plurality of hooks (1); or a plurality of inner and/or outer stabilizer bars.

9. Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, according to claim 1, wherein said hook (1) receives a rotative fastener (15) alternatively to outer male and female magnetic buttons (12M and 12F).

10. Retractable hanger used in compartments for carrying personal effects, according to claim 1, wherein the retractable movement is aided by an elastic mesh (2) surrounding the body (10) of the hook (1).
