A decorative luggage comprises a shell confining a packing space, one or more wheels attached to the shell to enable rolling movement of the luggage and a handle attached to the shell to facilitate moving the luggage. The shell comprises a first half-shell and a second half-shell, which are detachably assembled to provide the packing space with a zipper. Each half-shell comprises an outer shell, an inner lining, and a decorative shell insert removably secured between them. The outer shell is transparent. The inner lining is attached to the outer shell with a zipper. The wheel comprises a circular wheel body, a tire surrounding the wheel body, a decorative cap removably attached to the wheel body, and a wheel bracket protruded from the wheel body. The handle comprises a telescopic extender, a decorative grip removably attached to the extender, and a handle bracket fixed to the extender.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is related to a decorative luggage. More specifically, the present invention is related to a decorative luggage with replaceable decorative parts, which can be customized according to customers' desire.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In order to satisfy customers' need, the traditionally practical luggage, are manufactured with increasing decorative function, nowadays. Examples of technological developments include following prior arts.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,755,288 B1 to Lai discloses a luggage structure that includes a hard plastic body internally decorated with a curtain, a metal reinforcing inner frame and a metal reinforcing outer frame respectively fastened to inner and outer diameters of the hard plastic body, a flexible supplementary frame attached to the topmost edge of the hard plastic body and riveted to the metal reinforcing inner frame, a fabric cover fastened to the supplementary frame and adapted to close/open the luggage, and a fabric shell riveted to the metal reinforcing outer frame and covered over the flexible supplementary frame.

U.S. Pat. No. 7,296,665 B2 to Morszeck discloses a suitcase comprising two articulately joined case shells, which are closable with a closing means on frame elements arranged at the edges of the case shells. At least one case shell is at least partly made of a transparent plastic material and a space for receiving a sheet with an illustration thereon.

US 2014/0008164 A1 applied by Lai et al. discloses a transparent shell structure for luggage that includes an outer shell, a decorative plate, a lining, and a plurality of corner protectors. The outer shell has an inner space with a frame. One side of the decorative plate is a patterned surface. Each of the four corners of the decorative plate has a notch, so that the four sides thereof are bent inside the inner space. The decorative plate is restricted within the outer shell. The lining is attached to the decorative plate and disposed in the inner space of the outer shell with the decorative plate, connecting to the frame by the sides. The corner protectors are connected to the four corners of the outer shell.

None of the prior arts provide a fully customizable luggage with easily exchangeable decorative part.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An objective of the invention is to provide a completely customizable luggage where the customer will continually be able to customize and modify it as they would please.

In order to achieve the objective, in a first embodiment, the present invention provides a decorative luggage comprising a shell confining a packing space, wheels attached to the shell to enable rolling movement of the luggage and a handle attached to the shell to facilitate moving the luggage. The shell comprises a first half-shell and a second half-shell, which are detachably assembled to provide the packing space with a closing device. The first half-shell comprises a first outer shell, a first inner lining, and a first decorative shell insert between the first outer shell and the first inner lining, wherein the first outer shell is transparent. The first inner lining is removably attached to the first outer shell. The first decorative shell insert is removably secured between the first outer shell and the first inner lining. Preferably, the first inner lining is attached to the first outer shell with a zipper.

The closing device comprises a zipper provided between the first half-shell and the second half-shell.

Alternatively, the closing device comprises one or more sliding shell brackets attached to the first half-shell and one or more shell-bracket receptacles attached to the second half-shell.

Alternatively, the closing device comprises one or more first hinge bracket attached to the first half-shell and one or more second hinge bracket attached to the second half-shell. The first hinge brackets and the second hinge brackets are pivotally connected.

The wheel comprises a circular wheel body, a tire surrounding the wheel body, a wheel cap removably attached to the wheel body, and a wheel bracket protruded from the wheel body. The wheel bracket slides into a wheel bracket receptacle provided in the first half shell.

The handle comprises a telescopic extender, a grip removably attached to the extender, and a handle bracket fixed to the extender. The handle bracket slides into a handle bracket receptacle provided in the first half shell.

The second half-shell may have structure similar to that of the first half-shell.

In a second embodiment of the present invention, a decorative luggage comprises a main body, a first half-shell attached to the main body, a second shell attached to the main body, wheels attached to the main body to enable rolling movement of the luggage and a handle attached to the main body to facilitate moving the luggage. The second shell is opposite to the first shell. The main body, the first shell and the second shell confine a packing space.

Because the main body provides a rigid structure required for luggage, the first half-shell and the second half-shell are provided in more simplified form than the first embodiment. The wheels and the handle are assembled to the main body.

The advantageous effects of the present invention are: (1) the luggage is fully modular, and the graphics will be will be interchangeable on both sides of the luggage as for the wheels and the telescoping handle; (2) since the interior linings are be removable and interchangeable, it may be completely washed if desired; (3) the luggage provide various combinations of decoration because both halves of the luggage completely zip apart into two halves, and the luggage is able to be completely disassembled and reassembled with other parts; (4) the luggage is easy to manufacture because graphics lay in the inside cover held in place by the removable liners, the wheels and handle slide and lock in, and outer shells zip together as well as the liners.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a decorative luggage 10 comprises a shell 12 confining a packing space 14 (refer to FIG. 9), one or more wheels 16 attached to the shell 12 to enable rolling movement of the luggage 10; and a handle 18 attached to the shell 12 to facilitate moving the luggage 10.

Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the shell 12 comprises a first half-shell 20 and a second half-shell 22. The first half-shell 20 and the second half-shell 22 are detachably assembled to provide the packing space 14 with a closing device 24 (refer to FIGS. 5 and 6).

Referring to FIG. 9, the first half-shell 20 comprises a first outer shell 26, a first inner lining 28, and a first decorative shell insert 30 between the first outer shell 26 and the first inner lining 28. The first outer shell 26 is transparent. The first inner lining 28 is removably attached to the first outer shell 26. The first decorative shell insert 30 is removably secured between the first outer shell 26 and the first inner lining 28.

Preferably, the first inner lining 28 is attached to the first outer shell 26 with a zipper 32.

Preferably, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the closing device 24 comprises a zipper 34 provided between the first half-shell 20 and the second half-shell 22. As shown in FIG. 5, the first half-shell 20 and the second half-shell 22 can be completely separated. FIG. 6 shows that the first half-shell 20 and the second the half-shell 22 are assembled using the zipper 34. A protecting sleeve 120 is provided between the first half-shell 20 and the second the half-shell 22.

Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 10, the closing device 24 comprises one or more sliding shell brackets 36 attached to the first half-shell 20 and one or more shell-bracket receptacles 38 attached to the second half-shell 22.

Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 11, wherein the closing device 24 comprises one or more first hinge bracket 40 attached to the first half-shell 20 and one or more second hinge bracket 42 attached to the second half-shell 22. The first hinge brackets 40 and the second hinge brackets 42 are pivotally connected.

Referring back to FIG. 9, the wheel 16 comprises a circular wheel body 44, a tire 46 surrounding the wheel body 44, a decorative wheel cap 48 removably attached to the wheel body, and a wheel bracket 50 protruded from the wheel body 46. The wheel bracket 50 slides into a wheel bracket receptacle 52 provided in the first half shell 20.

The handle 18 comprises a telescopic extender 54, a decorative grip 56 removably attached to the extender 54, and a handle bracket 58 fixed to the extender 54. The handle bracket 58 slides into a handle bracket receptacle 60 provided in the first half shell 20.

The second half-shell 22 comprises a second outer shell 62, a second inner lining 64, and a second decorative shell insert 66 between the second outer shell 62 and the second inner lining 64. The second outer shell 62 is transparent.

The second inner lining 64 is removably attached to the second outer shell 62. The second decorative shell insert 66 is removably secured between the second outer shell 62 and the second inner lining 64. The second inner lining 64 is attached to the second outer shell 62 with a zipper 68.

Referring to FIG. 12, a decorative luggage 70 according to another embodiment of the invention comprises a main body 72, a first half-shell 74 attached to the main body 72, a second half-shell 76 attached to the main body 72, one or more wheels 78 attached to the main body 72 to enable rolling movement of the luggage 70 and a handle 80 attached to the main body 72 to facilitate moving the luggage 70. The second half-shell 76 is opposite to the first half-shell 74. The main body 72, the first half-shell 74 and the second half-shell 76 confine a packing space 82. The first half-shell 74 comprises a first outer shell 84, a first inner lining 86, and a first decorative shell insert 88 between the first outer shell 84 and the first inner lining 86. The first inner lining 86 is removably attached to the first outer shell 84. The first decorative shell insert 88 is removably secured between the first outer shell 84 and the first inner lining 86.

The first inner lining 86 is attached to the first outer shell 84 with a zipper 90.

The wheel 78 comprises a circular wheel body 94, a tire 96 surrounding the wheel body 94, a decorative wheel cap 98 removably attached to the wheel body 94, and a wheel bracket 100 protruded from the wheel body 94. The wheel bracket 100 slides into a wheel bracket receptacle 101 provided in the main body 72.

The handle 80 comprises a telescopic extender 102, a decorative grip 104 removably attached to the extender 102, a handle bracket 106 fixed to the extender 102. The handle bracket 106 slides into a handle bracket receptacle 108 provided in the main body 72.

The second half-shell 76 comprises a second outer shell 109, a second inner lining 110, and a second decorative shell insert 112 between the second outer shell 108 and the second inner lining 110.

The second inner lining 110 is removably attached to the second outer shell 108. The second decorative shell insert 112 is removably secured between the second outer shell 108 and the second inner lining 110. The second inner lining 110 is attached to the second outer shell 108 with a zipper 114.

The main body 72 has a structure that allows access into the packing space 82. The first half-shell 74 and the second half-shell 76, which are transparent, are fixed to the main body 72.

Claims

1. A decorative luggage comprising:

a) a shell confining a packing space, wherein the shell comprises a first half-shell and a second half-shell,
wherein the first half-shell and the second half-shell are detachably assembled to provide the packing space with a closing device;
b) one or more wheels attached to the shell to enable rolling movement of the luggage; and
c) a handle attached to the shell to facilitate moving the luggage;
wherein the first half-shell comprises a first outer shell, a first inner lining, and a first decorative shell insert between the first outer shell and the first inner lining,
wherein the first outer shell is transparent, and
wherein the first inner lining is removably attached to the first outer shell wherein the first decorative shell insert is removably secured between the first outer shell and the first inner lining.

2. The decorative luggage of claim 1, wherein the first inner lining is attached to the first outer shell with a zipper.

3. The decorative luggage of claim 1, wherein the closing device comprises a zipper provided between the first half-shell and the second half-shell.

4. The decorative luggage of claim 1, wherein the closing device comprises one or more sliding shell brackets attached to the first half-shell and one or more shell-bracket receptacles attached to the second half-shell.

5. The decorative luggage of claim 1, wherein the closing device comprises one or more first hinge bracket attached to the first half-shell and one or more second hinge bracket attached to the second half-shell, wherein the first hinge brackets and the second hinge brackets are pivotally connected.

6. The decorative luggage of claim 1, wherein the wheel comprises a circular wheel body, a tire surrounding the wheel body, a wheel cap removably attached to the wheel body, a wheel bracket protruded from the wheel body, wherein the wheel bracket slides into a wheel bracket receptacle provided in the first half shell.

7. The decorative luggage of claim 1, wherein the handle comprises a telescopic extender, a grip removably attached to the extender, a handle bracket fixed to the extender, wherein the handle bracket slides into a handle bracket receptacle provided in the first half shell.

8. The decorative luggage of claim 1, wherein the second half-shell comprises a second outer shell, a second inner lining, and a second decorative shell insert between the second outer shell and the second inner lining, wherein the second outer shell is transparent.

9. The decorative luggage of claim 8, wherein the first inner lining is removably attached to the first outer shell wherein the first decorative shell insert is removably secured between the first outer shell and the first inner lining, wherein the second inner lining is removably attached to the second outer shell wherein the second decorative shell insert is removably secured between the second outer shell and the second inner lining, wherein the first inner lining is attached to the first outer shell with a zipper, wherein the second inner lining is attached to the second outer shell with a zipper, wherein the closing device comprises a zipper provided between the first half-shell and the second half-shell, wherein the wheel comprises a circular wheel body, a tire surrounding the wheel body, a wheel cap removably attached to the wheel body, a wheel bracket protruded from the wheel body, wherein the wheel bracket slides into a wheel bracket receptacle provided in the first half shell, wherein the handle comprises a telescopic extender, a grip removably attached to the extender, a handle bracket fixed to the extender, wherein the handle bracket slides into a handle bracket receptacle provided in the first half shell.

10. A decorative luggage comprising:

a) a main body;
b) a first half-shell attached to the main body;
c) a second half-shell attached to the main body, wherein the second half-shell shell is opposite to the first half-shell, wherein the main body, the first half-shell and the second half-shell confine a packing space,
d) one or more wheels attached to the main body to enable rolling movement of the luggage; and
e) a handle attached to the main body to facilitate moving the luggage;
wherein the first half-shell comprises a first outer shell, a first inner lining, and a first decorative shell insert between the first outer shell and the first inner lining, and
wherein the first inner lining is removably attached to the first outer shell wherein the first decorative shell insert is removably secured between the first outer shell and the first inner lining.

11. The decorative luggage of claim 10, wherein the first inner lining is attached to the first outer shell with a zipper.

12. The decorative luggage of claim 10, wherein the wheel comprises a circular wheel body, a tire surrounding the wheel body, a wheel cap removably attached to the wheel body, a wheel bracket protruded from the wheel body, wherein the wheel bracket slides into a wheel bracket receptacle provided in the main body.

13. The decorative luggage of claim 10, wherein the handle comprises a telescopic extender, a grip removably attached to the extender, a handle bracket fixed to the extender, wherein the handle bracket slides into a handle bracket receptacle provided in the main body.

14. The decorative luggage of claim 10, wherein the second half-shell comprises a second outer shell, a second inner lining, and a second decorative shell insert between the second outer shell and the second inner lining.

15. The decorative luggage of claim 14, wherein the first inner lining is removably attached to the first outer shell, wherein the first decorative shell insert is removably secured between the first outer shell and the first inner lining, wherein the first inner lining is attached to the first outer shell with a zipper, wherein the second inner lining is removably attached to the second outer shell, wherein the second decorative shell insert is removably secured between the second outer shell and the second inner lining, wherein the second inner lining is attached to the second outer shell with a zipper, wherein the wheel comprises a circular wheel body, a tire surrounding the wheel body, a wheel cap removably attached to the wheel body, a wheel bracket protruded from the wheel body, wherein the wheel bracket is slides into a wheel bracket receptacle provided in the main body, wherein the handle comprises a telescopic extender, a grip removably attached to the extender, a handle bracket fixed to the extender, wherein the handle bracket slides into a handle bracket receptacle provided in the main body.
