BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONThe Background on this invention is that I, the author of this specification document, applicant for this patent, and inventor of the Neat Clip fingernail clipping accessory, James Michael Wilkinson Jr. found myself unsatisfied with my fingernail clipping experience because I would always have fingernail trimmings flying out of the clippers all over the room. I tried some other fingernail clipping devices like those referenced in the attached pdf labeled NeatClipPatentabilitySearchResults.pdf which are designed to be a clipping device that also has a built in fingernail clipping mechanism but they never seemed to work properly. My invention is a simple clear plastic adjustable finger or toe collar with a simple velcro strip at the bottom to allow for easy use by simply wrapping it around the digit and attaching with the velcro strip. It works very effectively to prevent the fingernail trimmings from flying away and makes the fingernail trimming experience much neater and more efficient. I have developed a working prototype and included a picture of the prototype below in the drawings section.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONNeat Clip fingernail clipping accessory prevents fingernail clippings from flying all over the place when clipping fingernails.
The Neat Clip fingernail clipping accessory consists of a clear plastic sheet which could vary in size. The initial prototype is 5 inches long by 3 inches wide. It can be produced from a thin clear plastic material flexible such as polystyrene and it can come in various colors. A key attribute of the invention is that it is a clear plastic so the user can see through it as they clip their nails. The invention has a velcro strip attached to the plastic with a strong durable adhesive glue. The velcro strip could vary in width. The prototype strip is 5 inches long by ½ inch wide. The strip is attached to the bottom edge of the plastic. One side having the male side of the velcro and the other side having the female side of the velcro. The user wraps the plastic strip around the digit and attaches it at the bottom with the velcro forming a cone shape around the finger as displayed in the image included in the drawings section.

2. The Neat Clip patent should include patent for any variation in size or color of the invention because these variations are not a significant difference in the invention.
3. The Neat Clip patent should include patent for alternate locations of the velcro attachment strip as this variation is not a significant difference in the invention.
4. The Neat Clip patent should include other forms of attachment such as a snap, fold, or slits with a slide to insert attachment method because these variations are not a significant difference in the invention.
