BACKGROUND OF INVENTIONThis invention relates to a garment carrying device capable of carrying various garments such as but not limited to jackets, coats, and suits.
Garments are an essential part of everyday life around world. In many instances one must dress appropriately with many factors in mind, one of the biggest being the weather. Whether it is to venture outdoors, or a trip to another city, state, or country. Depending on one's destination there are various garments that might be needed. A walk to the park on a sunny day might suddenly turn wet with rain showers. In this case having a raincoat and or an umbrella readily and easily accessible might be desired. A hiking adventure into a scenic mountainous landscape might start on a chilly morning that requires a jacket. As the day progresses and the hike continues the weather conditions could change, no longer requiring the jacket. Airport travel might have your destination start in a hot climate and end in a cold one, or vice versa. In this situation one might be travelling through airports having to carry a jacket, coat, or sweater. This can be very uncomfortable and a nuisance, as travelers often need their hands to be free to present documents, buy food, etc.
All the aforementioned examples puts one in a situation where they must either carry the garment with their hands or pack the garment in a suitcase, or bag, etc. There is no convenient and hands free way to easily have a garment readily available for use, and back to non-use. Thus, there is a need for device that can carry garments in a manner in which the user can easily operate and still have their hands free.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention, a garment carrying device provides a hands free way to carry garments. The garment carrying device comprises mainly of five straps. One large central strap and four smaller straps attached to the large central strap. The central strap acts as a harness around the body and can be adjusted to fit the individual. The four smaller straps are positioned in pairs approximately two feet apart and are attached to the back of central strap. The smaller straps can be adjusted and buckled together to secure the garment.
An object of the invention is to allow the user wear it when not currently being used to carry a garment. Components are designed to be sleek and minimal, allowing the garment carrying device to have a very low profile.
Another object of the invention allows for the user to tailor the fit by the device's buckle adjuster.
Another object of the invention is to provide a means to adjust the back small straps to secure garments of different sizes.
