Leggie

The product is a blanket with a leg hole. The Leggie keeps people warm however someone can stick a leg out of an opening in the blanket to instantly help cool them down. A lot of people put a leg out of the blanket mid way through the night because they wake up and become hot, sticking one leg out seems to make the body a cooler temperature. The solution the leggie provides is that a person can fully remain under the blanket and all other body parts remain warm. When someone sticks their leg out using a traditional blanket their back is then uncovered, sometimes making them to cool. The Leggie fixes that. The person's leg is the only body part out with this blanket. The Leggie is designed for one person with a single hole opening and also duel hole openings for two people to share.

Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

Traditional blankets were great until The Leggie came along and made a great impact on how comfortable, blankets can make a person feel. The Leggie keeps a person warm and then gives a person the option to stick a leg out to cool down a little. The Leggie (claims) has great design to keep a person warm by the overlapping of the fabric in the hole while not in use but also has the option to cool a person down if they become a little too warm. It's amazing how sticking one leg out of the blanket can make all the difference in a comfortable night sleep. The options of a single hole blanket and the double hole blanket make The Leggie great for one person or two people to share.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the invention, using The Leggie solves the problem of being too warm in a blanket. By the design claimed by The Leggie it keeps a person warm when they want to be warm and cools them down if they would like to stick a leg out through the leg hole opening

DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART

Through extensive research there is nothing in the patent database globally with this same purpose and design. Not improving upon anything just creating a new art.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The preferred embodiment of material would be a plush fabric (FIG A), proto types made with plush. This material hides the seams well and makes it look complete. This embodiment makes it comfortable, warm yet cool and light, cozy and soft. Plush it easy to care for, wash, durable and great for households with kids and animals.

The preferred embodiment on how it is made comes with measurements made within the proto type. Please use-drawing figures for the measurements as followed.

FIG B—The opening for the leg hole embodies a 16-inch opening with a 32-inch circumference. The fabric overlap covering the hole embodies a 2-inch overlap; this is in case a person does not want the opening in use at any given time. It then acts as a normal blanket with no airflow because of this design overlap of fabric. When being sewn this section is left open with 2 inches of fabric overlapped, which is represented by the dotted lines in the drawing.

FIG C—Is the seam down the blanket. On the top of FIG B (the leg hole opening) the measurement is 20 inches down from the top of the blanket. On the bottom of FIG B the measurement continues 27 inches down to the bottom of the blanket. These measurements are subject to change depending on the size of the blanket. These are the measurements used on all the proto types based off of a blanket length of 63 inches. Single hole Leggie are typically a twin size blanket and the two hole Leggie is typically based off of a Queen size blanket. The size of blankets can be a variety of sizes based on what the manufacture would want but The Leggie embodies and claims the hole for the leg.

Making The Leggie starts with measuring out the length and then sewing two pieces of fabric together having a 2-inch overlap. While sewing FIG C seam line FIG B leg hole is left open with the 2-inch overlap still remaining. The plush fabric leaves the seams looking well hidden on the backside of the fabric; a finish on the seam could be done if wanted. The extra fabric is cut off on FIG C backside seam and the fabric in FIG B remains for the fabric overlap.
