Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Prior art for sports bras have been designed to squeeze the breasts firmly to the body, but this present invention will be an added support system to any bra style designed to hold in place the breasts firmly to the body, an extra support system. Several attempts have previously been made to provide breast and back support for women. Women who have breasts of all sizes, often look for a better way to keep their breasts from bouncing; They want extra support in the bust region to provide comfort during physical activities. There is therefore a need to develop a breast support band which is easy to put on and comfortably supports the breast, shoulders and back thereby reducing the potential of pain from bouncing and keeps the breast in place. It is to be worn externally over the bra for added support.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to athletic apparel or bras, and, in particular, to a breast support band wherein has an integral supporting system.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention there is provided a breast support band which provides support of the breasts in addition to wearing a bra, and minimizes the adverse effects of pain from sports that is associated with excessive breast movement when jogging, dancing, doing aerobics or the like, and to enable longer more efficient workout (or any other) athletic activities. For example, it should allow women to run faster and longer; In addition, it enhances comfort to a wearer as it compresses and restrains the breasts to prevent any damage to the breasts or discomfort. It is made from soft flexible material that comes in different sizes.

The present invention is a wrap-around style band across the top of the breast, just above the nipples, which allows for easy wear, comfort and support. To put the present invention on, you wrap it around the bra across the top of the breast and fasten the clasps on the back thereof, as the illustrations show. It can be worn under your clothes. The present invention also allows for adjustability as it can be snugly adjusted for the perfect fit. In addition, the present invention can be made with two or four clasps as the figures illustrate, but not limited to. The present invention can also be made with velcro instead of clasps to not limit the scope.

In a preferred embodiment, the breast support band is, essentially, formed as one continuous piece with stretch and ribs throughout and the rear of the present invention has a height almost the same as that of the front, but not limited to, and the fabric is made from 80% supplex and 20% spandex; It will have clasps that fasten on the back similar to bras, but will have more elasticity constructed into the band. Although, the present invention can be made any size and by any suitable material a person skilled in the art prefers.

Because of the softness and high stretchability of the fabric, and adding it as an overlay of the bra it accomplishes better support and better binding of the breasts. Many women have complained of their breasts bouncing up and down and causing discomfort, and/or skin abrasions. The prior art of bras and sports bras have certain disadvantages that preclude the full effect of the bra in binding the breasts against the body and are not supported properly. These approaches have generally compromised comfort and/or support and have not been satisfactory. There is therefore a need to develop a breast support band which is easy to put on and comfortably supports the breast, shoulders and back thereby reducing the potential of pain from bouncing and keeps the breast in place with comfort. It is to be worn externally over the bra across the top of the breasts for added support.

It is contemplated that various materials, may be used in some alternate embodiments such as, but not limited to, the fabric being made of stretchable natural or synthetic fabrics, or blends thereof and can be pierced with holes to promote breathability; The present invention can also be made with velcro (not depicted) to fasten the band instead of clasps in the back, to not limit the scope.
