WATER REPELLENT GLOVE

A glove has a body, at least one waterproof layer, and a water repellent area. The body is composed by multiple fibers and has a wrist portion, a palm portion, a thumb portion, and at least one finger portion. The wrist portion has a first face and a second face opposite each other. The thumb portion has a first circumference and a second circumference opposite each other. The at least one finger portion has a first surface and a second surface opposite each other. The at least one waterproof layer extends from the first face to the first circumference and the first surface. The water repellent area is adjacent to the at least one waterproof layer. Each fiber that is arranged in the water repellent area is coated with water repellent to form a water repellent layer.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a clothing accessory, and more particularly to a breathable water repellent glove.

2. Description of Related Art

A glove is a kind of clothes worn by a hand. The main object of wearing the gloves is to keep the hands warm, to provide protection to the hands, or for decoration. For different purposes, the gloves are provided in many types such as warm-keeping gloves, medical gloves, gardening gloves, industrial gloves or gloves for motorcycle riders.

One of the crucial points for choosing the glove is the air permeability. In certain working circumstances, the wearer of the gloves has a lot of opportunities to get contact with moist objects. A pair of traditional gloves is made of cotton and absorbs the moisture and turns humid. The moisture not only makes the traditional gloves heavier and increases the burdens of the wearer but also decreases the ventilation of the traditional gloves. The body heat of the wearer is hardly dissipated from the space between the cotton fibers and causes discomfort to the hands of the wearer.

With reference to FIG. 8, a conventional glove 70 made of rubber is provided to resolve the problem of the traditional gloves. Since the conventional glove 70 is made of rubber and has excellent water resistance, the conventional glove 70 can keep a hand of the wearer dry for a period of time. However, the air permeability of the conventional glove 70 is far lower than a glove made of cotton. After a long time of wearing, the temperature of an interior of the conventional glove 70 rises and the hand of the wearer start sweating. The interior of the conventional glove 70 is humid and hot, and causes the wearer to feel unendurable.

To overcome the shortcomings of the conventional glove, the present invention provides a glove to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a breathable and water repellent glove to offer a better experience of wearing gloves.

The glove comprises a body, at least one waterproof layer, and a water repellent area. The body is composed by multiple fibers and has a wrist portion, a palm portion, a thumb portion, and at least one finger portion. The wrist portion has a first face and a second face opposite each other. The thumb portion has a first circumference and a second circumference opposite each other. The at least one finger portion has a first surface and a second surface opposite each other. The at least one waterproof layer extends from the first face to the first circumference and the first surface. The water repellent area is adjacent to the at least one waterproof layer. Each fiber that is arranged in the water repellent area is coated with water repellent to form a water repellent layer. The water repellent area is breathable and improves the air permeability of the conventional glove.

Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a first embodiment of a glove in accordance with the present invention comprises a body 10, a waterproof layer 20, and a water repellent area 30.

With reference to FIGS. 1, 2, and 3, the body 10 is weaved by multiple fibers 101 and has a wrist portion 11, a palm portion 12, a thumb portion 13, and four finger portions 14. The body 10 is crisscross weaved by the fibers 101 and has multiple pores H for ventilation. The fibers 101 may be cotton, silk, or nylon.

With reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the wrist portion 11 is circular in section. The wrist portion 11 has two opposite ends and a constraining ring 111. The constraining ring 111 is elastic and is arranged at one of the ends of the wrist portion 11.

With reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the palm portion 12 is circular in section. The palm portion 12 is connected with one of the ends of the wrist portion 11. The palm portion 12 and the constraining ring 111 are respectively arranged at the two opposite ends of the wrist portion 11. The palm portion 12 has a first face 121 and a second face 122. The first face 121 and the second face 122 are opposite to each other.

With reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the thumb portion 13 is sheath-like and has a first circumference 131, a second circumference 132, a closed end, and an attaching end. The first circumference 131 faces to a direction that the first face 121 of the palm portion 12 faces to. The first circumference 131 and the second circumference 132 are opposite to each other. The closed end and the attaching end of the thumb portion 13 are opposite to each other. The attaching end of the thumb portion 13 is connected with the palm portion 12.

With reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, each finger portion 14 is sheath-like and has a first surface 141, a second surface 142, a closed end, and a joined end. The first surface 141 faces to a direction that the first circumference 131 of the thumb portion 13 faces to. The first surface 141 and the second surface 142 are opposite to each other. The closed end and the joined end of each finger portion 14 are opposite to each other. The joined end of each finger portion 14 is connected with the palm portion 12. The number of the finger portions 14 may be adjusted depending on practical requirements.

With reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the waterproof layer 20 is covered on the body 10 and is made of latex or rubber. The waterproof layer 20 is covered on the first face 121 of the palm portion 12, the first circumference 131 of the thumb portion 13, and the first surface 141 of each finger portion 14. The waterproof layer 20 extends from the closed end of the thumb portion 13 and the closed end of each finger portion 14 to the second circumference 132 of the thumb portion 13 and the second surface 142 of each finger portion 14. The waterproof layer 20 eventually reaches the closed end of the thumb portion 13 and the closed end of each finger portion 14.

With reference to FIGS. 2, 3, and 4, the water repellent area 30 is distributed over the second face 122 of the palm portion 12, the second circumference 132 of the thumb portion 13, and the second surface 142 of each finger portion 14. The water repellent area 30 is adjacent to the waterproof layer 20. Each fiber 101 that is arranged in the water repellent area 30 is coated with water repellent to form a water repellent layer 31.

The blood vessels and the sweat glands at a palm are much more active than those at a back of a hand. The palm may face to the water repellent area 30 when wearing the glove. With reference to FIGS. 1, 2, and 3, the heat and the sweat of the palm can be dissipated from the pores H between the fibers 101 that are arranged in the water repellent area 30. Comparing with the conventional glove, each fiber 101 that is arranged in the water repellent area 30 is coated with water repellent to form a water repellent layer 31 having hydrophobicity and can be prevented absorbing the moisture and is breathable. The glove in accordance with the present invention can resolve the insufficient air permeability of the conventional glove. Since the thumb and the fingers of a wearer are likely to contact wet objects, the waterproof layer 20 is covered on the closed end of the thumb portion 13 and the closed end of each finger portion 14 to offer dry and comfortable wearing experience to the wearer.

According to different requirements, the waterproof layer 20 and the water repellent area 30 can be arranged at different portions of the body 10.

With reference to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, a second embodiment of a glove in accordance with the present invention comprises a body 10, a waterproof layer 20, and a water repellent area 30. The locations of the waterproof layer 20 and the water repellent area 30 of the first embodiment and the second embodiment are different. The waterproof layer 20 is covered on the second face 122 of the palm portion 12, the second circumference 132 of the thumb portion 13, and the second surface 142 of each finger portion 14. The waterproof layer 20 extends from the closed end of the thumb portion 13 and the closed end of each finger portion 14 to the first circumference 131 of the thumb portion 13 and the first surface 141 of each finger portion 14. The waterproof layer 20 eventually reaches the closed end of the thumb portion 13 and the closed end of each finger portion 14. The water repellent area 30 is adjacent to the waterproof layer 20 and is distributed over the first face 121 of the palm portion 12, the first circumference 131 of the thumb portion 13, and the first surface 141 of each finger portion 14.

With reference to FIG. 7, a third embodiment of a glove in accordance with the present invention comprises a body 10, five waterproof layers 20, and a water repellent area 30. The five waterproof layers 20 are respectively covered on the closed end of the thumb portion 13 and the closed ends of the four finger portions 14. The water repellent area 30 is distributed over the first face 121 and the second face 122 of the palm portion 12, the first circumference 131 and the second circumference 132 of the thumb portion 13, and the first surface 141 and the second surface 142 of each finger portion 14. The water repellent area 30 is adjacent to the five waterproof layers 20.

Claims

1. A glove comprising:

a body composed of multiple fibers and having
at least one waterproof layer covered on a part of the body of the glove;
a water repellent area distributed on the rest parts of the body, each fiber that is arranged in the water repellent area is coated with water repellent to form a water repellent layer.

2. The glove as claimed in claim 1, wherein

the body has a wrist portion being circular in section and having two opposite ends; a palm portion being circular in section, connected with one of the ends of the wrist portion, and having a first face and a second face, wherein the first face and the second face are opposite each other; a thumb portion being sheath-like and having a first circumference facing to a direction that the first face of the palm portion faces to; a closed end; and an attaching end opposite to the closed end of the thumb portion and connected with the palm portion; at least one finger portion being sheath-like and having a first surface facing to a direction that the first circumference of the thumb portion faces to; a closed end; and a joined end opposite to the closed end of the at least one finger portion and connected with the palm portion;
the at least one waterproof layer extends from the first face of the palm portion to the first circumference of the thumb portion and the first surface of the at least one finger portion; and
the water repellent area is distributed over the second face of the palm portion.

3. The glove as claimed in claim 2, wherein

the thumb portion has a second circumference opposite to the first circumference of the thumb portion;
the at least one finger portion has a second surface opposite to the first surface of the at least one finger portion;
the at least one waterproof layer extends from the closed end of the thumb portion to the second circumference of the thumb portion and the second surface of the at least one finger portion.

4. The glove as claimed in claim 3, wherein

the waterproof layer is covered on the closed end of the thumb portion and the closed end of the at least one finger portion;
the water repellent area extends to the second circumference of the thumb portion and the second surface of the at least one finger portion.

5. The glove as claimed in claim 1, wherein

the body has a wrist portion being circular in section and having two opposite ends; a palm portion being circular in section, connected with one of the ends of the wrist portion, and having a first face and a second face, wherein the first face and the second face are opposite each other; a thumb portion being sheath-like and having a first circumference facing to a direction that the first face of the palm portion faces to; a second circumference opposite to the first circumference of the thumb portion; a closed end; and an attaching end opposite to the closed end of the thumb portion and connected with the palm portion; at least one finger portion being sheath-like and having a first surface facing to a direction that the first circumference of the thumb portion faces to; a second surface opposite to the first surface of the at least one finger portion; a closed end; and a joined end opposite to the closed end of the at least one finger portion and connected with the palm portion;
the at least one waterproof layer is covered on the second face of the palm portion, the second circumference of the thumb portion, and the second surface of the at least one finger portion, wherein the at least one waterproof layer extends from the closed end of the thumb portion and the closed end of the at least one finger portion to the first circumference of the thumb portion and the first surface of the at least one finger portion; and
the water repellent area is distributed over the first face of the palm portion, the first circumference of the thumb portion, and the first surface of the at least one finger portion.

6. The glove as claimed in claim 2, wherein the at least one finger portion is implemented as four in amount.

7. The glove as claimed in claim 3, wherein the at least one finger portion is implemented as four in amount.

8. The glove as claimed in claim 4, wherein the at least one finger portion is implemented as four in amount.

9. The glove as claimed in claim 5, wherein the at least one finger portion is implemented as four in amount.

10. The glove as claimed in claim 1, wherein

the body has a wrist portion being circular in section and having two opposite ends; a palm portion being circular in section, connected with one of the ends of the wrist portion, and having a first face and a second face, wherein the first face and the second face are opposite each other; a thumb portion being sheath-like and having a first circumference facing to a direction that the first face of the palm portion faces to; a second circumference opposite to the first circumference of the thumb portion; a closed end; and an attaching end opposite to the closed end of the thumb portion and connected with the palm portion; four finger portions, wherein each finger portion is sheath-like and has a first surface facing to a direction that the first circumference of the thumb portion faces to; a second surface opposite to the first surface of said finger portion; a closed end; and a joined end opposite to the closed end of said finger portion and connected with the palm portion;
the at least one waterproof layer is implemented as five in amount, and the five waterproof layers are respectively covered on the closed end of the thumb portion and the closed ends of the four finger portions;
the water repellent area is distributed over the first face and the second face of the palm portion, the first circumference and the second circumference of the thumb portion, and the first surface and the second surface of each finger portion.

11. The glove as claimed in claim 10, wherein the wrist portion further has a constraining ring formed at one of the ends of the wrist portion and being opposite to the palm portion.

12. The glove as claimed in claim 6, wherein the wrist portion further has a constraining ring formed at one of the ends of the wrist portion and being opposite to the palm portion.

13. The glove as claimed in claim 7, wherein the wrist portion further has a constraining ring formed at one of the ends of the wrist portion and being opposite to the palm portion.

14. The glove as claimed in claim 8, wherein the wrist portion further has a constraining ring formed at one of the ends of the wrist portion and being opposite to the palm portion.

15. The glove as claimed in claim 9, wherein the wrist portion further has a constraining ring formed at one of the ends of the wrist portion and being opposite to the palm portion.
