A hair braider includes a braider body having a pair of first braiding holes and a pair of second braiding holes cut through two opposing walls thereof, a slotted throat extended from each of the first and second braiding holes to the border for enabling different sections of hair to be pushed from the border of the braider body into the respective braiding holes, and corrugated surface portions located in the slotted throats and the first and second braiding holes.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to hair styling technology, and more particularly to a hair braider, which facilitates braiding multiple sections of hair into a complicated hairstyle.

2. Description of the Related Art

Seeking beauty is human nature. Especially for the women having a long hair, how to make hair beautiful is the target women and the hairdressing industry need to achieve.

Most women with long hair like to decorate hair with hair accessories, or to braid hair into different hairstyles. Arranging hair into one or two pigtails can be done easily by a skilled or professional hair designer with the two hands without the assistance of tools. However, it is difficult to divide hair into multiple sections and braid these multiple sections of hair into a specific hairstyle simply with the two hands without the assistance of tools. Further, it takes much time to braid hair with hands, and a mistake can occur during braiding. Even the desired braided style is done, the braided hairstyle may be not so tight and attractive.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to provide a hair braider, which facilitates braiding multiple sections of hair into a complicated hairstyle.

To achieve this and other objects of the present invention, a hair braider comprises a braider body, at least one pair of first braiding holes and at least one pair of second braiding holes cut through two opposing walls of the braider body at selected locations, a slotted throat extended from each of the first and second braiding holes to the border of the braider body for enabling different sections of the hair of a person to be pushed from the border of the braider body into the respective braiding holes, and corrugated surface portions located in the slotted throats and the first and second braiding holes. Further, the slotted throats that are respectively connected to the first braiding holes are disposed at two opposite lateral sides of the braider body. The slotted throats that are respectively connected to the second braiding holes are located at a bottom side of the braider body.

Other advantages and features of the present invention will be fully understood by reference to the following specification in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which like reference signs denote like components of structure.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an oblique top elevational view of a hair braider in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 9 is an oblique top elevational view of a hair braider in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 10 is an oblique top elevational view of a hair braider in accordance with a third embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 11 illustrates a different shape of the braider body of the hair braider in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 1, a hair braider (1) in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention is shown and adapted for making and compiling braids of hair. The hair braider (1) comprises a braider body (11), two first braiding holes (12) and two second braiding holes (13) cut through two opposing walls of the braider body (11) at selected locations, a slotted throat (121)(131) extended from each of the first and second braiding holes (12)(13) to the border edge of the braider body (11) for enabling hair to be pushed from the border of the braider body (11) into the respective braiding hole (12)(13), and corrugated surface portions (122)(132) located in the slotted throats (121)(131) and the first and second braiding holes (12)(13). Further, the two slotted throats (121) that are respectively connected to the first braiding holes (12) are disposed at two opposite lateral sides of the braider body (11), the two slotted throats (131) that are respectively connected to the second braiding holes (13) are located at a bottom side of the braider body (11).

In an application example, the hair braider (1) is used to compile a French braid, and the procedure is outlined hereinafter.

Step I: At first, divide hair (2) at the center of the top of the head into a first right section of hair (21) and a first left section of hair (22), and then twist up the first right section of hair (21) and the first left section of hair (22), and then push the strain-like first right section of hair (21) and the strain-like first left section of hair (22) through the two slotted throats (121) at the two opposite lateral sides of the braider body (11) into the respective first braiding holes (12) (see FIG. 2) to keep the strain-like first right section of hair (21) and the strain-like first left section of hair (22) in place, and then push the end part of the strain-like first right section of hair (21) and the end part of the strain-like first left section of hair (22) through the two slotted throats (131) at the bottom side of the braider body (11) into the respective second braiding holes (13) (see FIG. 3), and then turn the braider body (11) clockwise or counter-clockwise through 180-degree angle to cross-twist the strain-like first right section of hair (21) and the strain-like first left section of hair (22) at the first time (see FIG. 4).

Step II: divide the part of hair (2) at the center of the top of the head at two opposite lateral sides relative to the first right section of hair (21) and a first left section of hair (22) into a second right section of hair (23) and a second left section of hair (24), and then combine the second right section of hair (23) and the first left section of hair (22) and put them into the first braiding hole (12) and the second braiding hole (13) in a proper order, and then combine the second left section of hair (24) and the first right section of hair (21) and put them into the first braiding hole (12) and the second braiding hole (13) (as shown in FIG. 5), and then turn the braider body (11) clockwise or counter-clockwise through 180-degree angle (as shown in FIG. 6).

Step III (the final step: repeat Step II, divide the part of hair (2) around two opposite lateral sides of the second right section of hair (23) and a second left section of hair (24) into a third right section of hair (25) and a third left section of hair(26), and then combine the third right section of hair (25) with the first right section of hair (21) and the second left section of hair (24), and then put them into the first braiding hole (12) and the second braiding hole (13) in a proper order, and then combine the third left section of hair (26) with the first left section of hair (22) and the second right section of hair (23) and put them into the first braiding hole (12) and the second braiding hole (13) in a proper order, and then turn the braider body (11) counter-clockwise or clockwise through 180-degree angle (as shown in FIG. 7).

At final, a small pigtail (27) is left at the end of the braided hair, at this time, the hair braider (1) can be removed from hair (as shown in FIG. 8).

Referring to FIG. 9, a hair braider (1) in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention is shown. This second embodiment is substantially similar to the aforesaid first embodiment with the exception that the hair braider (1) of this second embodiment further comprises a first center braiding hole (14) equally spaced between the two first braiding holes (12), a slotted upper center throat (141) upwardly extended from the first center braiding hole (14) to the border edge of the braider body (11), and a corrugated surface portion (142) located in the first center braiding hole (14) and the slotted upper center throat (141).

In a third embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 10, the hair braider (1) further comprises a second braiding hole (15) equally spaced between the two second braiding holes (13), a slotted lower center throat (151) downwardly extended from the second center braiding hole (15) to the border edge of the braider body (11), and a corrugated surface portion (152) located in the second center braiding hole (15) and the slotted lower center throat (151).

Further, the braider body (11) can be made in any of a variety of shapes, for example, the oval shape shown in FIG. 11.

In conclusion, the invention provides a hair braider, which facilitates arranging and twisting multiple sections of hair for braiding into a complicated style.

Claims

1. A hair braider, comprising a braider body, at least one pair of first braiding holes and at least one pair of second braiding holes cut through two opposing walls of said braider body at selected locations, a slotted throat extended from each of said first and second braiding holes to the border of said braider body for enabling different sections of the hair of a person to be pushed from the border of the braider body into the respective said braiding holes, and corrugated surface portions located in said slotted throats and said first and second braiding holes, the said slotted throats that are respectively connected to said first braiding holes being disposed at two opposite lateral sides of said braider body, the said slotted throats that are respectively connected to said second braiding holes being located at a bottom side of said braider body.

The hair braider as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a first center braiding hole located in said braider body and equally spaced between said first braiding holes, an upper center slotted throat upwardly extended from said first center braiding hole to the border of said braider body, and a corrugated surface portion located in said first center braiding hole and said upper center slotted throat.

3. The hair braider as claimed in claim 2, further comprising a second center braiding hole located in said braider body and equally spaced between said second braiding holes, a slotted lower center throat downwardly extended from said second center braiding hole to the border edge of the braider body, and a corrugated surface portion located in the second center braiding hole and said slotted lower center throat.
