DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 6, a spout for sink in accordance with the invention comprises the following components as discussed in detail below.

A conduit 2 is provided in a space 11 of a spray handle 1. An annular nozzle assembly 6 is threadedly secured to an internally threaded opening of the spray handle 1. The nozzle assembly 6 includes a plurality of central nozzles 61 and a plurality of peripheral nozzles 62 around the central nozzles 61. A central channel 12 in the spray handle 1 communicates with the central nozzles 61. A peripheral channel 13 is provided around the central channel 12. The peripheral channel 13 and the central channel 12 are spaced apart. Further, the peripheral channel 13 communicates with the peripheral nozzles 62. The conduit 2 includes an inlet 21 and two outlets 22. A latch 221 is provided at an end of each outlet 22. The latches 221 are secured to the central channel 12 and the peripheral channel 13 respectively, thereby fastening the conduit 2 in the spray handle 1. One outlet 22 communicates with the central channel 12 and the other outlet 22 communicates with the peripheral channel 13 respectively. A tunnel 23 is provided at a joining portion of the outlets 22 and the inlet 21 and includes a port 231 communicating with the inlet 21. A pivot pin 24 is provided on an outer surface of the conduit 2. A stem 222 is provided on a blind end of the tunnel 23. A moveable shank 3 is provided in the tunnel 23 and includes a receptacle 31 at one end, an intermediate, annular recess 32, and a spherical enlargement 33 at the other end. A torsion spring 3A is provided in the receptacle 31. The stem 222 is partially disposed in the receptacle 31 to urge against the torsion spring 3A. A sleeve 4 includes an axial channel 41 and two aligned through holes 42 through an intermediate portion. The sleeve 4 is positioned on an intermediate portion of the moveable shank 3 with the through holes 42 communicating with the recess 32. A push button 5 is provided on an opening 14 of the spray handle 1 and includes a receptacle 51 on an inner surface with the enlargement 32 positioned therein, and a groove 52 on the inner surface with the pivot pin 24 pivotably disposed therein. Thus, the push button 5 is pivotal.

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, in a default operating mode, the port 231 communicates with the other outlet 22 and thus water W may flow from the inlet 21 to the central nozzles 61 via the port 231, the other outlet 22 and the central channel 12.

As shown in FIG. 6, in one operation, a user may press an upper portion of the push button 5 aligned with the enlargement 32 to move the moveable shank 3 inward with the torsion spring 3A being compressed. Thus, the flow path from the port 231 to the other outlet 22 is blocked, and the other flow path from the port A, the recess 33, the through holes 42, one outlet 22, the peripheral channel 13 to the peripheral nozzles 62 is established. As a result, water W may spray out of the peripheral nozzles 62. It is understood that a release of the pressing may return the torsion spring 3A and the moveable shank 3 to their original positions as shown in FIG. 3.

While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
