BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONThe following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention(s). It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art, or material, to the presently described or claimed inventions, or that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates generally to the field of wearable commemorative jewelry and more specifically relates to graduates unite graduation pin systems.
2. Description of Related Art
When someone graduates from an academic institution, they are given a diploma, and awarded an academic degree at a graduation ceremony. The term “graduation” is additionally used to refer to the advancement from a primary or secondary school level. The date of the graduation is often called “graduation day”. The graduation ceremony itself is also called commencement, convocation, or invocation. When graduation ceremonies are held, they usually include a procession of the academic staff and candidates and a valediction. At the college and university level, the faculty will typically wear academic dress at the formal ceremonies, as will the trustees and degree candidates.
To commemorate their graduation, many graduates order a class ring. Unfortunately, these rings can be expensive and are rarely worn or displayed for an extended length of time. In fact, most people either keep them in a drawer or packed away in storage. Additionally, former graduates are always looking for new and personalized ways to memorialize their time at a school. A suitable solution is desired.
Several attempts have been made to solve the above-mentioned problems such as those found in U.S. Pat. and Design Pat. Nos. D146,096 to Bates; D300,126 to Corbin, et. al.; U.S. Pat. No. 2,066,969 to Farnham; U.S. Pat. No. 2,751,655 to Watson; U.S. Pat. No. 2,948,038 to Emil; and U.S. Pat. No. 365,853 to Palmee. This art is representative of jewelry with ornamental motifs. However, none of the above inventions and patents, taken either singly or in combination, is seen to describe the invention as claimed.
Preferably, a wearable commemorative jewelry should provide jewelry with ornamental motifs and, yet would operate reliably and be manufactured at a modest expense. Thus, a need exists for a useful and reliable graduates unite graduation pin system to avoid the above-mentioned problems.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIn view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known wearable commemorative jewelry art, the present invention provides a novel graduates unite graduation pin systems. The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail is to provide jewelry with ornamental motifs that are useful.
The graduates unite graduation pin system may comprise the graduates unite graduation pin assembly. The graduates unite graduation pin assembly may comprise in structural combination a wearable commemorative pin useful for persons desiring to have a keepsake. The graduates unite graduation pin assembly is defined by the first side, the second side, and the shape.
The first side of the graduates unite graduation pin assembly may comprise the indicium, useful for ready identification of a celebratory event. The indicium may comprise a school name, useful for identifying a graduating institution. The indicium may comprise a date, useful for identifying a graduation date. The indicium may comprise a logo, useful for identifying a profession for a graduate. The second side may comprise the attacher, useful for removably attaching the graduates unite graduation pin assembly to a garment for display. The attacher may comprise a sharpened-shaft, useful for penetrating a garment. The attacher may comprise a sharpened-shaft-receiver, useful for retaining the sharpened-shaft in a manner that protects a wearer. The sharpened-shaft and sharpened-shaft-receiver are structured and arranged to be removably-fastened to a garment. The shape may comprise a graduation cap, useful for ready visual recognition of a graduation event.
The graduates unite graduation pin system may comprise a kit including a graduates unite graduation pin assembly and a set of user's instructions. A method of using a graduates unite graduation pin system may comprise the steps of placing a sharpened-shaft through a fabric of a worn garment securing the sharpened-shaft with a sharpened-shaft-securer and displaying a graduates unite graduation pin assembly. The method may further comprise the step of removing the graduates unite graduation pin assembly from the worn garment. The device is specifically intended to identify the wearer with respect to the event.
The present invention holds significant improvements and serves as wearable commemorative jewelry. DETAILED DESCRIPTIONAs discussed above, embodiments of the present invention relate to wearable commemorative jewelry and more particularly to a graduates unite graduation pin systems as used to improve jewelry with ornamental motifs in a useful manner
Generally speaking, graduation is a special event in many individuals lives. The present invention provides a graduation pin to students who have completed their degree and includes the name and colors of the schools and the year of graduation. The device also doubles as a keepsake reminder of the school students attended and eliminates the cost of an expensive graduation ring, which most students cannot afford. As designed, the present invention personalizes ordinary caps and gowns. Graduates unite graduation pin allows proud graduates to pay homage to their alma mater and the years spent there. This innovative product may comprise a wearable commemorative pin, shaped like a cap and/or gown. The pin can be customized to display the name of a school, the year of graduation, and the school's colors. The pin can have numerous attachment means, which may enable additional display opportunities. The pin can be used by students of all ages, including preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school students, as well as college graduates, police academy graduates, nurse and doctor graduates, fire fighters, and any other institution that has graduates.

It should be noted that the steps described in the method of use can be carried out in many different orders according to user preference. - wherein said graduates unite graduation pin system comprises said graduates unite graduation pin assembly;
- wherein said graduates unite graduation pin assembly is defined by said first side, said second side, and said shape;
- wherein said first side comprises said indicium, useful for ready identification of a celebratory event;
- wherein said second side comprises said attacher, useful for removably attaching said graduates unite graduation pin assembly to a garment for display; and
- wherein said graduates unite graduation pin assembly comprises in structural combination a wearable commemorative pin useful for persons desiring to have a keepsake.

3. The graduates unite graduation pin system of claim 1 wherein said indicium comprises a date, useful for identifying a graduation date.

16. The graduates unite graduation pin system of claim 1 wherein said attacher comprises an adhesive, useful for fixedly-attaching said graduates unite graduation pin assembly to a non-porous surface for display.
17. A graduates unite graduation pin system comprising:
- a graduates unite graduation pin assembly comprising; a first side comprising; indicium; a second side; an attacher; and a shape;
- wherein said graduates unite graduation pin system comprises said graduates unite graduation pin assembly;
- wherein said graduates unite graduation pin assembly is defined by said first side, said second side, and said shape;
- wherein said first side comprises said indicium, useful for ready identification of a celebratory event;
- wherein said second side comprises said attacher, useful for removably attaching said graduates unite graduation pin assembly to a garment for display; and
- wherein said indicium comprises a school name, useful for identifying a graduating institution;

- a set of user's instructions.
19. A method of using a graduates unite graduation pin system comprising the steps of:
- placing a sharpened-shaft through a fabric of a worn garment;
- securing said sharpened-shaft with a sharpened-shaft-securer; and
- displaying a graduates unite graduation pin assembly to identify a specific wearer with respect to an event.
20. The method of claim 19 further comprising the step of: removing said graduates unite graduation pin assembly from said worn garment.
