BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a table, and more particularly to an adjustable table with stable leg base.

Description of Related Arts

A table is one of the most common used furniture in people's daily life and there are also many types of tables to satisfy different people with different needs.

A conventional table has a table top and table legs to support the table top. A conventional table legs have circular or quadrangle cross sections. For a general purpose, the circular or quadrangle shaped table legs are well enough to satisfy users. However, if the conventional table with the circular or quadrangle shaped table legs is a height adjustable table, on one hand, the circular or quadrangle shaped table legs are easy to be worn after frequent adjusting process. On the other hand, two adjustable components of the table legs may generate a too large or too small friction forces among contacting surfaces. If the friction forces among the adjustable components of the table legs are too large, the height adjustable process is not only arduous, but also results in overwhelm abrasion of the table legs. The overwhelm abrasion of the table legs not only affects the appearance of the table, but also reduces a life span of the table. If the friction forces among the adjustable components of the table legs are too small, the table top may not easy to be fixed and cannot sustain too much loads on the table top.

In addition, many conventional height adjustable tables have a poor stability. In order to solve the problem, some conventional height adjustable tables adds additional support frames on the table legs. However, some of the support frames have uniform diameters and are directly and completely contacting the ground. As the ground may not be flat, the additional support frames reduce the stability of the table on the contrary. Last but not least, the additional support frames on the table legs are not strength enough to support the table legs and are easy to be broke off.

It is necessary to develop an adjustable table which can overcome these disadvantages.

The general principles defined in the following description would be applied to other embodiments, alternatives, modifications, equivalents, and applications without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 1 to FIG. 10 of the drawings, an adjustable table with stable leg base according to a preferred embodiment is illustrated, wherein the adjustable table with stable leg base comprises a table top 10, two adjustable leg frames 20, two leg bases 30, a control crank 40 and a reinforce member 50. The two adjustable leg frames 20 support the table top 10 on two ends of the table top 10 respectively. Each of the two leg bases 30 support two adjustable leg frames 20 respectively. The control crank 40 adjusts a length of each of the two adjustable leg frames 20 so that a height of the table top 10 is adjustable. The reinforce member 50 connects the two adjustable leg frames 20 in the middle so as to enhance a stability of the table.

As shown in FIG. 2 to FIG. 7 of the drawings, an octahedral configuration of each of the adjustable leg frame 20 is further illustrated. Specifically, each of the two adjustable leg frames 20 comprises a first leg support 21, a second leg support 22, a first fastening member 23 and a second fastening member 24. Both of the first leg support 21, the second leg support 22, the first fastening member 23 and the second fastening member 24 have a hollow octahedral configuration. In other words, both of the first leg support 21, the second leg support 22, the first fastening member 23 and the second fastening member 24 have an octagonal cross section.

According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first fastening member 23 is disposed outside of the first leg support 21 and the second leg support 22 is disposed inside of the first leg support 21. In other words, an outer wall of the first leg support 21 is contacted to the first fastening member 23 and an inner wall of the first leg support 21 is contacted to the second leg support 22. The first fastening member 23 is disposed on an end of the first leg support 21 which is close to the second leg support 22 and the second fastening member 24 is disposed on a connection joint of the first leg support 21 and the leg base 30.
