Abstract

A beach golf game system includes a shovel that may dig a plurality of holes in a support surface. A plurality of cups is provided and each of the cups is positioned within an associated one of the holes. Each of the cups defines an associated goal when the cups are positioned within positioned in an associated one of the holes. A plurality of putters is provided. A plurality of balls is provided and each of the balls may be placed on the support surface. A selected one of the balls is selectively struck by a selected one of the putters. The selected ball is urged toward a selected goal. A case is provided. The shovel, the cups, the markers, the putters and the balls is selectively stored in the case.

BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE

Field of the Disclosure

The disclosure relates to golf games and more particularly pertains to a new golf game for playing mini golf on a beach.

Summary of the Disclosure

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a shovel that may dig a plurality of holes in a support surface. A plurality of cups is provided and each of the cups is positioned within an associated one of the holes.

Each of the cups defines an associated goal when the cups are positioned within positioned in an associated one of the holes. A plurality of putters is provided. A plurality of balls is provided and each of the balls may be placed on the support surface. A selected one of the balls is selectively struck by a selected one of the putters. The selected ball is urged toward a selected goal. A case is provided. The shovel, the cups, the markers, the putters and the balls is selectively stored in the case.

There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new golf game embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 4, the beach golf game system 10 generally comprises a shovel 12 that may manipulated to dig a plurality of holes 14 in a support surface 16. The support surface 16 may be a beach or the like. The holes 14 may be spaced apart from each other and distributed along the support surface 16. The holes 14 may be arranged in the convention of mini golf.

A plurality of cups 18 is provided and each of the cups 18 may be positioned within an associated one of the holes 14. Each of the cups 18 defines an associated goal 20 when the cups 18 are positioned within the associated hole 14. Each of the cups 18 has a basal wall 22 and a peripheral wall 24 extending upwardly from the basal wall 22. The peripheral wall 24 corresponding to each of the cups 18 has a distal edge 26 to define an opening 28 into the corresponding cup 18. The distal edge 26 of each of the cups 18 is aligned with the support surface 16 when the cups 18 are positioned in the associated hole 14. The distal edge 26 of each of the cups 18 may additionally be placed beneath the support surface 16 when the cups 18 are positioned in the associated hole 14.

The basal wall 22 of each of the cups 18 has an opening 30 extending therethrough. A plurality of markers 32 is provided and each of the markers 32 includes a pole 34 and a flag 36. The pole 34 has a distal end 38 with respect to the flag 36. The distal end 38 of each of the poles 34 is extended through the opening of an associated cup 18 when the associated cup 18 is positioned in the associated hole 14. Thus, the flag 36 is spaced from the support surface 16 thereby facilitating the flag 36 to be visible from a distance. A number 40 is printed on the flag 36 corresponding to each of the markers 32. Each of the markers 32 has a unique number 40 with respect to other markers 32 ranging between approximately one and nine.

A plurality of putters 42 is provided and each of the putters 42 may be manipulated. Each of the putters 42 may comprise a golf putter or the like. A plurality of balls 44 is provided and each of the balls 44 may comprise a golf ball or the like. Each of the balls 44 may be placed on the support surface 16.

A case 46 is provided. The shovel 12, the cups 18, the markers 32, the putters 42 and the balls 44 are selectively stored in the case 46. The case 46 has a body 48 and a lid 50. The lid 50 is hingedly coupled to the body 48 and the lid 50 is positionable in a closed position and an open position. A handle 52 is coupled to the body 48 and the handle 52 may be gripped.

In use, the holes 14 are dug in the support surface 16. The holes 14 are arranged to define a course on the support surface 16. Each of the cups 18 is positioned within an associated one of the holes 14. Each of the markers 32 is positioned in an associated one of the holes 14. A selected one of the balls 44 is selectively struck by a selected one of the putters 42. Thus, the selected ball 44 is urged toward the marker 32 having the number one printed on the flag 36. The number of strokes required to sink the ball 42 into the corresponding cup 18 is recorded. The ball 44 is urged toward the markers 32 corresponding to each of the goals 20 in sequential order with respect to the number 40 on the flag 36. The number of strokes between each goal 20 is recorded. Game play continues until the ball 44 has been urged into the cup 18 corresponding to each of the goals 20.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, system and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims

1. A beach golf game system comprising:

a shovel being configured to dig a plurality of holes a support surface;

a plurality of cups, each of said cups being configured to be positioned within an associated one of the holes, each of said cups defining an associated goal when said cups are positioned within the associated hole;

a plurality of markers, each of said markers being configured to be positioned in an associated one of the holes;

a plurality of putters, each of said putters being configured to be manipulated; and

a plurality of balls, each of a said balls being configured to be placed on the support surface, a selected one of said balls being selectively struck by a selected one of said putters, said ball being urged toward a selected goal; and

a case having said shovel, said cups, said markers, said putters and said balls being selectively stored therein.

2. The system according to claim 1, wherein each of said cups has a basal wall and a peripheral wall extending upwardly from said basal wall, said peripheral wall corresponding to each of said cups having a distal edge to define an opening into said corresponding cup, said distal edge of each of said cups being configured to be aligned with said support surface when said cups are positioned in the associated hole, said basal wall of each of said cups having an opening extending therethrough.

3. The system according to claim 2, wherein each of said markers extends through said opening of an associated one of said cups when said associated cup is positioned in the associated hole.

4. A beach golf game system comprising:

a shovel being configured to dig a plurality of holes a support surface;

a plurality of cups, each of said cups being configured to be positioned within an associated one of the holes, each of said cups defining an associated goal when said cups are positioned within the associated hole, each of said cups having a basal wall and a peripheral wall extending upwardly from said basal wall, said peripheral wall corresponding to each of said cups having a distal edge to define an opening into said corresponding cup, said distal edge of each of said cups being configured to be aligned with said support surface when said cups are positioned in the associated hole, said basal wall of each of said cups having an opening extending therethrough;

a plurality of markers, each of said markers being configured to be positioned in an associated one of the holes, each of said markers extending through said opening of an associated one of said cups when said associated cup is positioned in the associated hole;

a plurality of putters, each of said putters being configured to be manipulated; and

a plurality of balls, each of a said balls being configured to be placed on the support surface, a selected one of said balls being selectively struck by a selected one of said putters such that said selected ball urged toward a selected one of said goals until said selected ball falls into said cup corresponding to said selected goal; and

a case having said shovel, said cups, said markers, said putters and said balls being selectively stored therein, said case having a body and a lid being hingedly coupled to said body, said lid being positionable in a closed position and an open position.
