Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Field of Invention

The present invention relates to clothing designed for patient wear during a hospital stay.

Description of Related Art

Most typical hospital clothing for patients involves a hospital gown that has been traditionally worn by patients for many years. Typically the gown includes easily accessible aspects due to the necessity for medical treatment while in the hospital. The typical hospital gown is placed on a patient on the patient's front side and tied on the back side with loose snaps or ties so that the gown can be easily removed without disrupting any intravenous lines attached to the patient's arms. Further the gown needs to be easily removed in case of emergency surgery or other aspects of patient care. One drawback to the patient gown is the open exposure that the patient must suffer as a result of the opening in the back of the hospital gown. This typical hospital gown as a result is usually uncomfortable to wear and further is not appealing to most patients. As a result, it would be advantageous to have more standard clothing that could be used for patients but still meet the needs of the caretakers in the hospital.

Further the shirt includes a tab that may secure tubing that is normally required during a hospital stay.

With respect to FIG. 1, a shirt 10 in accordance for the present invention is depicted. The hospital shirt 10 includes hook and loop closures along the shoulders running down the shirtsleeves of the shirt according to present invention. The hook and loop connectors are provided at a shoulder sleeve level, seams 11a, 11b on each side of the shirt 10.
