Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to furniture and more particularly to a trim device for a table.

BACKGROUND

Tables find various uses in today's society. The standard table may have four legs which support a table top. The tables may be formed from plastic, wood, metal or other types of material. Once these tables have been constructed, the design/look of these tables remain unchanged. However, this does not eliminate the need for the consumers to have a table having a look which may be changed depending on the needs of the consumer.

SUMMARY

A table frame to add decorative features to a table a include a top surface of the table frame, a first opposed frame bottom surface opposed to the top surface, and a first outer side frame surface to connect the top surface to the bottom surface. The top surface may overlap the table.

The frame table may include a second opposed bottom surface.

The frame table may include an inner side rain surface.

The frame table may include a pad device to protect the frame table.

The pad device may include a strip of felt.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

FIG. 1 illustrates an exploded perspective view of the transitional trim edge/table frame 100 and table 200 of the present invention. The table 200 may include a table top 204 to cooperate with the table frame 100 and which may be supported by table legs 202. The table frame 100 may be rectangular, oval, circular or any other suitable shape and may be removable/replaceable with the table 200. The table frame 100 may have a substantial L shape cross section or other appropriate cross-section and the table frame 100 may have a central aperture 102 which may cooperate with a sheet of glass (not shown) which may be a mirror. The table frame 100 may include a top frame surface 104 which may extend around the periphery of the table frame 100 and may or may not include a design, and the top frame surface 104 may be connected to a outer side frame surface 106 which may extend around the periphery of the table frame 100 may overlap with the table top 204. The outer side frame surface 106 may include channels 108 which may be an inverted U-shape. An opposed frame bottom surface 110 may be connected to the outer side frame surface 108 and may be connected to an inner side frame surface 112. The opposed frame bottom surface 110 may extend around the periphery of the table frame 100. The first outer side frame surface 106 and the inner side frame surface 108 may be connected to a second bottom surface 116. A flexible pad may be placed around the inner side frame surface 108 and or the bottom surface 110 to protect the table top 204 and the flexible pad may be felt or other suitable material. The present invention may allow for the table to include many different styles and design patterns for various shapes of table 200.

FIG. 2 illustrates an perspective view of a portion of the transitional trim edge/table frame 100 and table 200 (shown in FIG. 1) of the present invention. The table frame 100 may be rectangular, oval, circular or any other suitable shape to conform to the shape of the table 200 and may be removable/replaceable with the table 200. The table frame 100 may have a substantial L shape cross section or other appropriate cross-section and the table frame 100 as shown in FIG. 1 may have a central aperture 102 which may cooperate with a sheet of glass (not shown) which may be a mirror. The table frame 100 may include a top frame surface 104 which may extend around the periphery of the table frame 100 and may or may not include a design, and the top frame surface 104 may be connected to an outer side frame surface 106 which may extend around the periphery of the table frame 100 may overlap with the table top 204. The outer side frame surface 106 may include channels 108 as shown in FIG. 1 which may be an inverted U-shape. A flexible pad 115 may be placed around the inner side frame surface 108 and or the bottom surface 110 to protect the table top 204 and the flexible pad 115 may be felt or other suitable material. The present invention may allow for the table to include many different styles and design patterns for various shapes of table 200.

FIG. 3 illustrates a bottom view of the transitional trim edge/table frame 100 and illustrates the first opposed bottom surface 110, the second opposed bottom surface 116, the outer side frame surface 106, the inner side frame surface 108, and the central aperture 102.

FIG. 4 illustrates a top view of the transitional trim edge/table frame 100 and illustrates the top surface 104, the outer side frame surface 106, the inner side frame surface 108, and the central aperture 102.

FIG. 6 illustrates the top surface 104 and the outer side frame surface 106.

FIG. 5 illustrates the top surface 104 and the inner side frame surface 112.

FIGS. 7 and 8 shows different design applications to the table frame 100 of the present invention.

While the invention is susceptible to various modifications and alternative forms, specific embodiments thereof have been shown by way of example in the drawings and are herein described in detail. It should be understood, however, that the description herein of specific embodiments is not intended to limit the invention to the particular forms disclosed.
