MATTOS DETACHABLE JAR
This present invention is filled like any conventional jar. Contents enter in through the top of the jar till filled. The difference between this jar and a conventional jar is that when the product contained within this jar is used down to the halfway point, the top half of this jar is unscrewed from the bottom half of the jar. The empty top half is then disposed of, and it's lid is now placed on the remaining content filled bottom half of the jar.
This invention was created because most jars, particularly smaller jars, are difficult to remove contents from the bottom of the jar. The present invention is directed toward a new jar design that separates at the halfway point.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThis jar, besides the lid and optional plastic wrap, could be thought of as having two components, i.e., a top component and a bottom component. The difference in the components is that the top component does not have a sealed bottom. This top component screws onto the top of the bottom component that does have a bottom. The top component has threading on the inside bottom rim. The bottom component has threading on the outside of the top rim. Optional plastic shrink wrap may be used around the entire jar or just around the circumference where the two components screw together. After the contents in the jar is depleted down to the point where the components screw together, a sharp object, such as a knife, would cut along the circumference thru any wrapping/labeling where the components join. The top component is then unscrewed from the bottom component and is discarded. The lid that was originally used on the top component is now used on the bottom component.
The accompanying drawings, which are included to provide further understanding of the invention and are incorporated in and constitute a part of the invention and together with the description serve to explain the principles of the invention.
