BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a clip for replacing and repairing a deck and an advanced method of replacing a deck using the same and, more particularly, to a deck fixing device, which can replace a deck with a new deck easily, conveniently and at low cost if a damaged deck is separated from a deck assembly and replaced with the new deck when some of decks are damaged, and a method of replacing a deck using the device.

The present invention may be applied not only to a deck, but to anyplace, such as a wall, a ceiling, etc., as long as a structural material or finishing material (wood, stone, iron, plastic, ceramic, etc.) can form a shape which a clip may be coupled.

2. Description of Related Art

Wood deck using wood, that is, an eco-friendly material, are selected for the trail of a park, a plaza, the front of a shopping district on a roadside, a hiking trail, the floor pavement of a country house, a building, a wall, etc. and are used in many portions. Compared to other materials, the wood decks are nature-friendly and increase a feeling of walking by efficiently absorbing an impact or vibration. Wood that gives a visually soft and comfortable feeling has advantages of excellent durability and simple maintenance and repair.

In general, wood deck has been installed by arranging deck on structures, such as lower yokes and support beams arranged on an installation place in a specific shape, and fixing the deck on a deck material using fixing means, such as a nail, a screw, etc. However, such as an installation method had a problem in that it causes inconvenience for a pedestrian or user because the head portion of fixing means, such as a nail, a screw, etc., are upward exposed due to the expansion of wood over time and that it makes poor an external appearance, and also had another problem in that the lifespan of the deck is reduced because moisture penetrates into a portion in which the fixing means has been disposed and the durability of the deck is reduced because a crack phenomenon in which the deck is split due to an erroneous construction of the fixing means is generated. Today, in order to overcome such problems, a method of fixing a deck to an underfloor support beam using a clip for fixing using a side groove between the decks, etc., have been a lot suggested as alternatives and constructed. If the deck or the clip for fixing is damaged, however, the method does not include an alternative for repairing the damaged deck or clip and greatly reduced the lifespan of a wood deck because it depends on a conventional repair method using nail and screw.

A deck clip used in such a conventional method is representatively described in Korean Patent Application Publication No. 10-2014-0046961. A method of fixing a screw spike, that is, fixing means, to an underfloor support beam when a clip is fixed to a deck material and performing a construction by covering the screw spikes with a secondary deck material was attempted. However, the method had a difficulty in that a deck for replacement had to be pushed and repaired after all of decks in a corresponding column of the deck are pulled out by pushing them because a worker cannot directly separate the screw spike if the deck is to be repaired.

Meanwhile, in a clip of Korean Utility No. 20-0449555, after the clip is mounted on a deck material and a secondary deck is horizontally moved and mounted on the clip, a screw spike insertion space for fixing a screw spike, that is, a fixing device, had been prepared. The clip had a disadvantage in that a fine view is poor because a wide interval is inevitably generated between the decks in order to prepare a sufficient work space.

Furthermore, Korean Patent Application Publication No. 10-2011-0102977 has a coupling structure having an excellent effect in the construct ability of a clip. However, the coupling structure has a problem in that it deteriorates the durability of a deck because moisture collected due to rain or dew after a construction is not dried in the deck of a portion with which an underfloor support beam comes into contact in a structure to which the deck and the underfloor support beam have been directly attached.

Recently, a method capable of replacing only a damaged deck with a new deck by separating the damaged deck using a separate clip for deck replacement has been suggested as the most realistic one alternative as in Korean Patent Application Publication No. 10-2009-0075446. However, the method has disadvantages in that a small number of clips for replacement must be separately used in order to replace a deck and effort and time for obtaining the clip for replacement and incidental expenses, such as corresponding distributions cost, are generated.

Meanwhile, the applicant filed an application for a repairable clip and a deck repair method using the same in order to improve the above problems as Korean Patent Application No. 10-2015-0010474. The deck clip includes a sheet-shaped fixing portion 100 having a bottom coming into surface contact with a support beam 30; a central support portion 203 protruded from the center of the top of the fixing portion 100 to form a reversed T shape with the fixing portion 100; a platform for repair 308 formed at the center of the top of the central support portion 203; an insert portion 202 formed on the front and rear sides of the platform for repair 308, extended in the left and right direction and inserted into clip accommodation grooves 22 and 22′ of a deck; a clip main body 10 configured to include the storage box of a rotary portion for repair 300 formed in the fixing portion 100 in the left or right direction of the central support portion 203; and the rotary portion for repair 300 included in such a way as to be detached from the storage box of the rotary portion for repair 300. In this case, when the deck is repaired, one end of the insert portion 202 is removed, the rotary portion for repair 300 is separated from the storage box of the rotary portion for repair 300 and mounted on the platform for repair 308, and the deck is disposed in the fixing portion 100. Thereafter, one end of the rotary portion for repair 300 is inserted into the clip accommodation grooves 22 and 22′ of the deck by rotating the rotary portion for repair 300, thereby being capable of repairing the deck. Furthermore, an additional function is improved in order for a user and a builder to use and construct a deck more conveniently.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

As described above, the applicant of the present application has noticed that the side fixing type clip of a deck is constructed as products of various forms, but there is no deck clip capable of restoration to the original state (repair) conveniently at low cost in most of products if a deck is damaged, and thus the inventors of the present invention has completed the present invention through many idea meetings and the production of samples.

The present disclosure provides a clip for deck repair capable of convenient, rapid and low-cost restoration to the original state (repair) after only a damaged deck is separated from a deck assembly if some decks are damaged, and a method of replacing a deck using the same.

However, Korean Patent Application No. 10-2015-0010474 had some portions to be supplemented and reinforced in an installation process actually applied to a deck. The application has a difficulty in construction in a deck commonly having a width of 8 cm or less because fixing portion on one side are symmetrical left and right and thus the space in which a next deck can be continuously disposed is obtained only when the width of the deck must be two times or more of the length of the fixing portion on one side. Furthermore, the application required the adoption of a new construction because there is no configuration for preventing a lateral movement of the deck. The adoption of such a configuration has completed an invention regarding a deck having improved quality and a method of repairing a deck by adopting a configuration which further improves the precision and convenience of the construction.

In the present invention, in order to immediately practice the replacement of a deck material, a material for repair is inserted and disposed in a product when a deck is first assembled so that an additional material is not required. Accordingly, a deck clip capable of restoration to the original state (repair) has been designed and fabricated.

Furthermore, a deck repair method capable of rapid and low-cost restoration to the original state (repair), which is convenient for a worker, using the deck clip fabricated as described above has been invented.

The present disclosure provides a deck clip capable of restoration to the original state (repair), including a rotary portion for repair 300 in a clip main body.

The deck clip capable of restoration to the original state (repair) according to the present invention may include a fixing portion 100, a separation support portion 102, a wing portion 200, a central support portion 203, an insert portions 202, 202a and 202b, a coupling grooves 101, 101a and 101b, and the rotary portion for repair 300.

In this case, the rotary portion for repair 300 has a semicircle structure, that is, one surface of a straight-line shape (a rotary portion straight-line edge) 303 and any one structure selected from a circle, oval and polygon structure. A hole (device insertion groove) 301 used upon rotation has been formed near the center. The shape of the hole (device insertion groove) 301 used upon rotation is a polygon. In general, the shape is a square, hexagon or octagon shape.

Preferably, the rotary portion for repair 300 of the present invention has an embossed protrusion shape which is rotated in the clip accommodation grooves 22 and 22′ of the deck on one surface to prevent the deviation of a deck rotated.

More preferably, the present invention may have a fixing portion that is asymmetrical left and right on the basis of the central support portion 203 and that forms a reversed T shape so that a deck having a small width can be constructed, and may further include a deck fixing hardware insertion groove 103, a drainage groove 104, a deck sliding blade 105, a deck sliding arm 106, a deck sliding grip 107, a construction sight groove 205, a rotation sight groove 311, deck fixing hardware 400, a fixing sawteeth 401 and a fixing hardware base 402 as its elements.

The rotary portion for repair is integrally seated in the clip main body and fabricated. If a deck needs to be repaired, however, the rotary portion for repair is provided so that it can be easily separated from the clip main body and used as a material for repairing a deck. Accordingly, the rotary portion for repair is designed so that a worker can assemble the rotary portion by only a simple task without a separate special difficulty.

Furthermore, it is preferred that the present invention is equipped with an advanced processing form for an insertion groove so that a replaced deck is seated on the upper side to enable only a damaged deck to be replaced if a deck is to be repaired.

It is preferred that an installed rotary member can be implemented by a simple tool without a need for a dedicated tool so that it can be practiced by a simple repair task upon installation. In this case, the simple tool may be a wrench formed in a shape, such as a star, square, hexagon or octagon. All of tools may be used as the simple tool if they have a shape capable of applying rotary force.

It is preferred that the installed rotary member may include a device which can be fixed without being shaken against an external impact or modification even after the rotary member is disposed.

The installed deck needs to have a proper interval (about 3 mm is preferred) of a construction interval by taking into consideration a value in terms of a fine view according to an excessive interval of deck. Such contents have been taken into consideration.

A structure is preferred in which the coupling of the deck and the underfloor support beam can be minimized or separated to improve durability of a deck.

The exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a repair is possible at low cost by fabricating a product to enable a material for repair to be integrated with a construction product so that a separate material is not required when a work for repairing a damaged deck is performed.

The exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a damaged deck can be separated from a deck assembly and repaired if some decks are damaged, thereby having an effect of restoration to the original state is easily possible and a manager or worker can perform a task rapidly and conveniently.

Another example of the present invention having an effect of in that it has convenience and high precision of construction in constructing a deck, enhances the stability of a constructed deck, and improve durability of a constructed deck.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Hereinafter, in the present invention, a deck clip according to the following embodiment and a repair method using the clip are described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In describing a preferred exemplary embodiment of the present invention in detail, a detailed description of a known art or configuration will be omitted if it is deemed to make the gist of the present invention unnecessarily vague. Furthermore, if the clip of the present invention has a symmetrical type structure in which the left and the right are the same, a portion that performs the same action of the same form has the same function throughout the drawings although there is no reference numeral in the portion. In an asymmetrical structure, the portion is named so that the function of the portion can be recognized in the name of the reference numeral.

However, the following exemplary embodiments are provided so that the present invention can be sufficiently understood by a person having ordinary skill in the art. The present invention may be modified in various other forms and the scope of the present invention is not limited to the following embodiment. That is, the exemplary embodiment of the present invention has been provided to describe the invention and should not be construed as limiting the range of right of the present invention.

Accordingly, the present invention may be applied to a wall, a ceiling in addition to a deck if a structural material or finishing material (wood, stone, iron, plastic, ceramics, etc.,) can form a shape to which a clip may be coupled.

FIG. 1A relates to a symmetrical type structure according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention and is a perspective view of a clip main body 10 that is a deck connection member. As shown in FIG. 1A, the clip main body 10 that is a deck connection member according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention is configured to include a fixing portion 100, a wing portion 200 and a rotary portion for repair 300.

In the case of the symmetrical type clip of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1A, the clip main body 10 that is a connection member for wood deck includes a sheet-shaped fixing portion 100 having a bottom coming into surface contact with a support beam 30; a central support portion 203 protruded from the center of the top of the fixing portion 100 to form a reversed T shape with the fixing portion 100; a platform for repair 308 formed at the center of the top of the central support portion 203; an insert portion 202 formed on the front and rear sides of the platform for repair 308, extended in the left and right direction and inserted into clip accommodation grooves 22 and 22′ of a deck; a clip main body 10 configured to may include the storage box of a rotary portion for repair 300 formed in the fixing portion 100 in the left or right direction of the central support portion 203; and the rotary portion for repair 300 included in such a way as to be detached from the storage box of the rotary portion for repair 300. In this case, when the deck is repaired, one end of the insert portion 202 is removed, the rotary portion for repair 300 is separated from the storage box of the rotary portion for repair 300 and mounted on the platform for repair 308, the deck is disposed in the fixing portion 100, one end of the rotary portion for repair 300 is inserted into the clip accommodation grooves 22 and 22′ of the deck by rotating the rotary portion for repair 300, thereby being capable of repairing the deck.

An asymmetrical type structure of the present invention is shown in FIG. 1B. In the case of the asymmetrical type structure in which the left and the right are asymmetrical on the basis of the fixing portion 100 and the reversed T shape, a fixing portion 100a may have a semicircular structure on one side and a fixing portion 106b may have a triangle on the other side and include the repair portion 300.

The present invention may further include a drainage groove 104. The drainage groove 104 is formed at the back of the fixing portion 100 of the clip and is formed to have a small groove on one side outward from a coupling groove 101 and a deck fixing hardware insertion groove 103. The drainage groove 104 functions to discharge water or moisture collected in the coupling groove 101 and deck fixing hardware insertion groove 103 of the deck that is exposed to the outside when it rains. Accordingly, durability can be increased by preventing a phenomenon in which the deck is decomposed due to mold generated in the deck.

A clip sliding blade 105 may be formed at the end of the clip fixing portion 100a of the present invention. The clip sliding blade 105 is an angled form having an inclined form. A worker can first hold a clip sliding arm 106 including a clip sliding grip 107 and then easily insert the clip main body into the bottom of an installed deck, thereby increasing working convenience.

Deck fixing hardware 400 of the present invention has one end bent and protruded. The protruded end is a zigzag sawtooth-shaped structure. A fixture for fixing a movement in one horizontal direction when the deck is fixed by a clip improves construction stability of the deck.

FIG. 2A is a plan perspective view and FIG. 2B is a rear perspective view of the rotation part for repair 300 that is inserted into and integrated with FIGS. 1A and 1B. They are described in detail with reference to FIGS. 6 to 9B.

A process of forming a deck assembly using the clip main body 10 constructed as above is described again with reference to each drawings.

FIG. 3A is a diagram of the configuration of the deck assembly and is a diagram showing the state in which a deck 20 is fixed using the clip main body 10 and a deck 20′ on the other side is disposed adjacent to the clip main body 10 in a next step. As shown in FIG. 3A, after the insert portion 202 is inserted into the clip accommodation groove 22 formed on one side of the deck 20 and closely attached thereto, a piece 40 is vertically inserted into the support beam 30 and fixed to the coupling groove 101. The coupling grooves 101 has been symmetrically disposed on the left and right sides of the clip, and thus may be differently used depending on an assembly condition. After the piece 40 is fixed to the coupling groove 101, the deck 20′ on the other side is seated in the separation support portion 102 of the clip and horizontally proceeds in the direction of the central support portion 203 of the clip so that the lower side part 21′ of the deck 20′ on the other side is closely attached to the interval support portion 201 of the clip. Accordingly, the corner of the insert portion 202 has been angled and a straight-line shape protrusion 204, etc. are present so that the insert portion 202 of the clip can be inserted and fixed to the clip accommodation groove 22′ of the deck 20 easily and firmly, thereby being capable of a rapid and accurate assembly. A deck 20 that is subsequently disposed is coupled to the clip main body 10 on one side of the deck 20, and thus a deck assembly is assembled by repeating such a sequence.

FIG. 3B is a side perspective view of the deck assembly. The interval between decks is formed depending on the degree in which the lower side parts 21 and 21′ of the deck are closely attached to the interval support portions 201 and 201′ of the clip. The interval may be adjusted up to 0-6 mm depending on the processing of the lower side parts 21 and 21′ of the deck. FIG. 3B is an example showing that the interval between the decks 20 and 20′ is 3 mm that is the best in a fine view. Furthermore, the fixing portion 100 of the clip reduces an impact and vibration for the decks between the decks 20 and 20′ and the support beam 30 and also couples the decks with them spaced apart at a specific distance, thereby facilitating ventilation. Furthermore, dry can be rapidly performed because a flow of water is free. Furthermore, when the deck 20 and the support beam 30 are coupled, the fixing portion 100 is inserted between the deck 20 and the support beam 30. Accordingly, the deck 20 is not closely attached to the upper plate of the support beam 30, but is spaced apart from the upper plate of the support beam 30 at a specific distance by the separation support portion 102 and then coupled thereto, thereby facilitating ventilation. Furthermore, the dry of moisture can be rapidly performed because a flow of water is free.

FIG. 3C relates to an installation example of the asymmetrical structure. If decks are continuously disposed using a symmetrical type clip, a clip may not be used because the rectangular fixing portion 100 has a structural restriction by which the fixing portion 100 cannot exceed ½ of the width length of the deck (if a fixing portion on one side is symmetrical left and right, the space in which a next deck can be subsequently disposed is formed only when the width of a deck is two times or more of a fixing portion on one side. Accordingly, a deck commonly having a width of 8 cm or less has a difficulty in construction). In FIG. 3C having the asymmetrical structure, the decks may go crisscross each other and may be directly fixed to the top of the support beam straight. Furthermore, a construction sight groove 205 disposed in the clip has a function for allowing a builder to check a corresponding orthogonal situation with his or her eyes so that a clip is seated in a line orthogonal to the support beam when the clip is disposed in the support beam. The construction sight groove 205 eventually has a function for allowing decks to be constructed at constant joint intervals.

FIGS. 4A and 4B show an example in which a device for preventing a lateral movement of a deck using the deck fixing hardware 400 has been installed. The deck fixing hardware 400 is installed by inserting it into the deck fixing hardware insertion groove 103 of the clip. The deck fixing hardware 400 has one end bent and protruded, and the protruded end has a zigzag sawtooth-shaped structure. In the sequence of the installation, when a deck on one side is completed (<1>), the deck fixing hardware 400 is inserted into the deck fixing hardware insertion groove 103 of the deck (<2>). In installing a next deck, the zigzag-shaped sawteeth shape is grounded to a portion of the bottom of the side of the next deck, thereby being capable of fixing the next deck while preventing a lateral movement of the deck (<3> and <4>).

FIGS. 5 to 9B correspond to the core part of the present invention, and a process of replacing a deck, that is, a target of replacement, with a new deck using the rotary portion for repair 300 integrally included in the clip main body 10 and fixing the new deck when some deck of the deck assembly formed as described above is repaired is described with the drawings.

A method of repairing a deck according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention is identically applied to both the symmetrical type and the asymmetrical type, and includes the steps of a) separating a deck, that is, a target of replacement, from a deck assembly; b) cutting one end of the coupling member insert portion 202 in which one end of the deck, that is, the target of replacement, is accommodated; c) separating the rotary portion for repair 300 integrated with the clip fixing portion 100; d) seating the separated rotary portion for repair 300 in the platform for repair 308 on the top of the central support portion 203; e) coupling a new deck to an empty space; and f) rotating the mounted rotary portion for repair 300 so that it is coupled to the clip accommodation groove 22 of the new deck and an adjacent deck at the same time.

In FIG. 5, the deck 20a, that is, a target of replacement, is separated from the deck assembly using a jigsaw blade or a rotating sawteeth.

As shown in FIG. 6, the insert portions 202a and 202b of a clip that belongs to clips in the replacement space part formed after the deck 20a that is a target of replacement is separated and that is on the side in which a work is easy are cut to have the same surface as the interval support portion 201 using a sharp knife. A blade cutting part 202c is cut to have the same surface as the interval support portion 201. Next, a connecting rod 307 that fixes the rotation part for repair 300 integrated with the fixing portion 100 of the clip is separated by cutting it using a sharp knife.

The rotary portion for repair 300 separated in FIG. 6 is horizontally moved to the platform for repair 308 of the clip so that a rotary portion straight-line edge 303 is shown as FIG. 7, and is then inserted up to the clip accommodation groove 22 of the deck and mounted thereon. In this case, the rotary portion straight-line edge 303 is matched to have the same surface as the interval support portion 201 of the clip.

In FIG. 8, after the new deck 20b is inserted into a clip on the other side, some pressure is vertically applied so that the new deck 20b is seated up to the fixing portion 100 under the clip.

In FIG. 9A, a hex wrench 50 is inserted into the device fixing groove 301 of the rotary portion for repair 300, and the hex wrench 50 is turned 90° so that the rotation part for repair 300 is latched onto both the clip accommodation groove 22 of the deck 20 and the clip accommodation groove 22′ of the new deck 20b at the same time. In the clip accommodation grooves 22 and 22′, the curved shape protrusion 302 of the rotary portion for repair 300 is closely attached to the space, thereby further firming the coupling. In this case, in the present invention, a rotation sight groove 311 (refer to FIG. 1B) is further added in order to visually check whether the rotary portion for repair 300 has been accurately turned.

FIG. 9B is a diagram illustrating the device for fixing the rotary portion for repair 300 without being shaken in the platform for repair 308 after the rotary portion for repair 300 is mounted. First, a rotation axis protrusion 305 at the center of the bottom of the rotary portion for repair 300 is seated and fixed to the rotation axis groove 309 of the platform for repair 308 so that the rotary portion for repair 300 is stably turned and fixed after being installed. A rotation axis fixing protrusion 306 at the bottom of the rotary portion for repair 300 is seated and fixed to the fixing groove 310 of the platform for repair 308 so that the rotary portion for repair 300 is not detached after being mounted, and can maintain the function. Such a device may be said to be a minimum required measure which facilitates the work of replacing a deck and also enables a deck to be certainly mounted.

After a damaged deck, that is, a target of replacement, is separated from an assembly using such a method, a new deck can be conveniently mounted.

The aforementioned preferred exemplary embodiment of the present invention has been disclosed for an illustrative purpose, and a person having ordinal skill in the art to which the present invention pertains may modify, change and add the embodiment within the spirit and range of the present invention and such modification, change and addition should be construed as belonging to the claims of this document.
